Great setting, excellent service - but the breakfast was just OK. Chiliquiles were a disappointment. No gluten-free breads. Lots of places offer better breakfasts. Try Snooze, Breakfast Republic, the Fig Tree
Food was great but the $50 is a little overpriced. The restaurant is beautiful but it was very loud when we were there
I enjoyed my time , this my 3rd time being here the atmosphere was incredible Love it . RB
My husband and I had a wonderful dinner at Humphreys earlier this week for my birthday. I had the Chilean sea bass and he had the scallops. Both were perfectly prepared and not overcooked. Our server, Gweedo, was attentive, even though the restaurant was busy. Beautiful setting, perfect dinner.
Ambiance is great. Food was well worth it.
Took our daughter for her 16th birthday. We really enjoyed it.
beautiful views of the= bay. good for large groups
One of the best buffet brunch es
Amazing as usual, excellent service and great food.
Nice Location, good food. We arrived early and enjoyed some live music in the adjoining bar.
I chose this place for a Valentine's date night. Although nice, it was not what I was expecting for the occasion. The food took longer than we expected, and it was bland. The server was great though. She apologized for the food delay, and gave us a round of free wine and dessert. I would give it a second chance, but not for a special occasion.
Service was phenomenal and I really enjoyed the food definitely will be back
The atmosphere at Humphreys is elegant and comfortable at the same time. The views are stunning , the food is outstanding and the services impeccable. This is one to remember when you want to impress people.
Romantic, but yet perfect for any occasion!
This was our second visit to this restaurant. It was good - but I would not say great. The wall surfaces are pretty hard so the live music from the bar invades the space. Both times the dining room has been less than half full which adds to the noisiness (no bodies to absorb some of the noise). The view of the yacht harbor and Point Loma is nice. This time the restaurant was using Sea Bass in lieu of halibut in their macadamia crusted fish - not as good. The scallops are excellent. Weird to have to pay for bread when you buy dinner..... The Corn Chowder was good but needed to be hotter - when the Cajun shrimp is cold - it cools the soup down too fast. Server was attentive.
Amazing service for buffet. We had new cutlery every new plate. Even had a steak knife when we got roast beef. Everything was fresh and delicious. Would definitely go again
Our waitress was great. Our dinner was good. Brussels sprouts were ok.
My wife and I , had dinner on a Saturday night at about 9:00 PM for her birthday, the restaurant was isolated so were sat by the window. The food and service were excellent as well as the food very tasty. We will definitely be returning and would recommend this place to any one who wants to experience great food and live music (entertainment).
Everything we had was delicious. Lobster Bisque and arugula salad were perfect. The braise short ribs were tender and the sea bass was combined with rice to perection. The Poke appetizer had a little too much mayonnaise, so the only area to improve. Service was good and attentive. best dinner I've had in a while
The service was impeccable. Our servers kept my water glass full, even after we had paid the bill. Food was great too, seasoned well, and reasonably priced.
I took my wife here for her birthday on the last weekend of San Diego's restaurant week. It was well worth it. We had reservations for 5:30pm and were immediately seated. There was a live Jazz show scheduled for the night so the crowd was lively. We were immediately attended to by our hostess and the meals came out of the kitchen surprisingly fast. We started with the Seafood Ceviche for my wife and Lobster Bisque for my son and I. The ceviche was extraordinarily wonderful. The seafood was fresh and the mango, lime, and cilantro matched perfectly. The lobster bisque was equally delightful. Creamy texture, and perfectly seasoned. Simple and fulfilling. For the main course, I ordered the red wine braised short ribs, with seasoned vegetables on a bed of seasoned mashed potatoes. This was equally delicious. My wife had the Salmon. This was by far one of the best salmon dishes that I tasted. Overall this was a really great experience and we will be going back!!
Service and ambulance were nice. Food was just average. We expected more during restaurant week. We also happened to be seated next to a very large loud and obnoxious group that really should have been asked to leave. Otherwise it is a nice place. Thankfully there was a good band and dancing next door to make it worth the visit.
We took advantage of the Restaurant Week lunch special and it was wonderful. Everyone enjoyed their meal.
It was a little on the noisy side but there was a good crowd which accounts for it.
The only thing we take exception to is that bread was not served with the meals. If you want bread, you need to order it and pay.
good food and good service. We had a good time.

Some friends and I went in for restaurant week.....food was okay, service was outstanding
When we have a morning flight, we drive in the night before from Borrego Springs and always eat at Humphreys. We have never been disappointed.
Best brunch ever!! Quality food and fantastic view!
What a delight! My best friend and I went to Humphrey's Restaurant to cut loose at champagne brunch after a hard week. We greatly enjoyed all of the options at the buffet (Shrimp and oysters? Yes, please!), not to mention the bottomless mimosas. They had a nice champagne-to-OJ ratio (read: more champagne than OJ), and Cherree, our server, was such a sweet lady. The manager who came around to check on us was also very nice. The ambiance, food, and drinks were fitting of the price of the brunch. Highly recommended!
We have been to San Diego many times and found this awesome place with a marina view and Sunday Brunch and mimosas. The service, food and music was awesome. Don't miss out on this hidden secret.
Went to the bar, ordered a drink, which was overpriced and small. Ordered a second drink and there was only cranberry juice in it, no vodka. Asked the waitress about it and she said it was just like the first drink then would not look at us for the duration of our stay. Terrible service will never go back and be ignored again
A great place for view and quite conversation. Good for any special occasion or date night.
I feel the price was a little high especially for lunch.
Was satisfied all around and surprised the restaurant was not busier for a Saturday night dinner. Both service and food were good and a great place for a nice dinner date (that was my occasion).
The waitress, Joanne was outstanding!! She knew drinks, menu and the area !
It was our 3rd date and so special.
We will be back
Restaurant great. Time available per Open Table off as restaurant virtually empty and I would have preferred earlier seating.
Salad was simple and great. Liked my steak too. Server lady was extremely nice and also offered us extra macaroons cookies for the desert when our kid wanted more. Restaurant setting is elegant and quiet.
I hadn't been to brunch there in over a decade and I'm pleased to say it was just as amazing as I remembered. The food, service and the ambiance was spectacular! I think I'll make it my New Year's Eve tradition every year.
Great location and super friendly staff
We hadn't made plans for Christmas day and called Humphrey's to inquire about brunch asking if it was ala carte or a prix fixe and were told the former. We made reservations just in case and headed over glad to be able to get in. We were seated and told that it was actually prix fixe and something like $69/person. When we told the hostess she essentially implied "tough luck" the person didn't know what they were talking about. We acquiesced and decided to make the most of it. The buffet had an impressive variety but the food was just mediocre especially for the price. The buffet staff seemed to have been treated poorly so they were stressed out. Our waiters were stellar at our table though. The turkey on the carving station was pink and the seafood table reeked so we avoided it altogether. I might try this place for ala carte dinner or lunch but never a buffet again.
I went for Sunday brunch. The buffet selection was great. Good selection, something for everyone. Friendly attentive staff. Free flowing mimosas, best dessert selection I've had in a while. Will definitely recommend to my friends and family.
Excellent special occasion diner place as the food is delicious. Great for lunch too. We always get the dinner package when seeing Concerts by the Bay.
Had a lovely holiday dinner with friends and family
