The reservation was not available when we arrived for a party of 5 at 7:15, we waited about 30 min. The table they gave us was for 4 and small. After speaking with 3 wait staff we finally got the manager. We were given a bigger table away from the water where it was louder, but comped 2 apps, which is nice but we didn’t eat until late. I like this place, but I’m not sure I would open table them again.
Wait staff was excellent. Food arrived in a timely manner. Nice view from our booth.
One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time ... the food was remarkable, the atmosphere was beautiful and the service provided by JC... was incredible... if you’re in Waikiki I would say it’s a must!!!
Excellent service. Very attentive staff and prompt service. Food was delicious and large size. Great for kids too. Possibly just a little too cold.

We really enjoyed the Hula grill. We had a nice table on the terrace. Our waitress was friendly and helpful with the ordering. The wine list was good and had a range of wines to suit all budgets. Our food was delicious, we would definitely return again if in the area.

Great casual spot right on Waikiki. Food and drinks good. Don’t miss the hula pie for dessert.

Excellent beach and pool views if you’re sitting next to the window. Macadamia pancakes were not as over the top as other places but still great. Fried rice was incredible!
Overall, excellent value. We spent twice as much the previous day somewhere else for a huge letdown. Would come back to Hula Grill 100%
Fantastic! Despite the rain blocking the view, our server, Valerie, was great. We had the mahi and the marlin - it was awesome! Get a mai tai and enjoy one of the BEST restaurants in Honolulu!

Granted, it was Easter. But, the food and service are mediocre. Steak was undercooked and cold center. Loco Moco had barely any gravy. Overall, pretty underwhelming.
We LOVE this restaurant and make it a point to eat here if we are vacationing in Oahu. The food and service is always great. The ambience is perfect.... truly feel like you are on vacation! You are dining right on Waikiki Beach, couldn't ask for a better location. Don't forget to order their fresh papaya or pineapple (as a starter), it's so good!

I really enjoyed Hula Grill. I went there for breakfast and dinner, on two separate days, and both times the service and food were excellent. For dinner I requested to be seated by the railing outdoors so I would have a view, which was really nice being that it was my last night in Hawaii. I would definitely recommend dining here to my friends and family.

Pork belly was very bad I couldn’t eat it , over done and very very tough
The food was wonderful and our server was excellent. We had to turn down a few tables before getting a nice balcony sunset table, but it was worth the wait.

Hula Grill never fails to be a highlight of our trip. Great food and great local community orientation/ stewardship. Our server was excellent and the food was just heavenly (we all had swordfish from the tasting menu). Watched the sunset on the beach as we ate. I love this place.
I booked this for my husbands birthday breakfast and asked to be seated somewhere nice. We were greeted and sat in the nicest area. We later had a surprise french toast delivered for my husbands bday! Great attention to detail, lovely staff, and even better food!!

Hula Grill is one of our favorite dining spots when visiting Honolulu. The food and service are consistently good and the view, depending on the table, nice. Can be crowded and a little chaotic, but worth the challenge.
Everything was fantastic! Favorite place in Waikiki. We eat here every time we visit the island. We had the same server this time that we had in September. Kat remembered us! She is a fantastic server and made our dining that much better!

Although we were seated one hour after our reservation time. The Hostess were very apologetic and very nice. Our server was apologetic as well, he was very attentive, very informative and very personable. The food was solo good and when we were done eating, he brought us desert, even tho we didn't order any, he said because we had to wait so long for our table. They definitely made what could have been a bad dinner, and made it a very positive evening!!!
It stunk. Stuck us in the dark. Couldn't see what you were eating. My wife ate something she was allergic too. Couldn'T see it. Wasn't listed on the menu. Service was patronizing. Would never go back. Aficara. Can'T stand such places. All fluff. No substance.
Really bad service, my coffee came after my meal...never could find our waiter....had to track down through another waiter to get our bill, then waited 15 minutes for our change back.
Our food was wrong, but couldn’t tell our waiter as he never came to check on us.

We booked this lunch reservation based upon the rating and reviews (4.5 stars with over 3000 reviews). Perhaps we caught the restaurant on an off day...the food was rather mediocre and certainly not worth the price paid. On a good note, our server was moderately attentive and very pleasant.
We are in the city for vacation and are self proclaimed foodies. We will not return as there are many other eateries that offer much better food quality.

We got many appetizers, one entrée and a bottle of wine. All related to sea food. Everything was delicious! The Mahi mahi was de-li-cious! We also had excellent service from our waitor. Thank you!
