We were back in L.A. and went back to one of our favorite places. The pasta with salmon was great and the drinks were outstanding. Their happy hour special is great!
We had the best brunch celebration for my daughters 11th. Day. Thanks
Great local restaurant for brunch and lunch. We've eaten here for years and the new social distancing requirements have not taken away from the quality of service or food.
The charge for the meal just appeared on my Amex, & it appears that I was overcharged. I had asked the waitress for a copy of the receipt, but she didn't. If you go here, INISIST on getting a paper copy of your receipt before you leave!
I've lived in West Hollywood for many years but had never been to Hugo's for dinner until a few weeks ago. With the pandemic the choices have been limited so I thought I would try Hugo's. What a pleasant surprise. I've been every week for over a month. It's very convenient. The service is good and pleasant.
Great last minute booking, good food and friendly staff
Our waitress Alana/ Elana was amazing ! Kind caring and thoughtful !!! She cares about her job you can tell and we loved it !!!! Not to mention to FOOD was so delicious and full of flavor, nice hidden lil gem!!
Great food, super friendly personnel! Highly recommend it
The food here was AMAZING! All of our party was so impressed! The outdoor seating set up in the back removed the noise of the busy street and their umbrellas and lights made it very cozy. Our server was great and very attentive. Really great spot!
Hugo’s did a great job adapting for safe distancing, so we were really comfortable, which unfortunately has not been the case at some of out other favorites.
Love this place!
This is commentary on the dinner and dessert selections only. I’ll start with the good stuff. The Salmon Picatta, Turkey Meatloaf, churros, and sticky buns are all fantastic! All are great options at Hugo’s! The fries are also good. Now for the bad. Avoid the Vegan Mac N Cheese. It was runny and had almost no flavor at all. No amount of salt and pepper could save it. I also had a Green Pasta dish that is not listed on the online menus. The dish arrived literally swimming in olive oil. The dish could have great if it were not for the excess oil. I asked for a ramekin in order to pour all of the oil out of the bowl. I would request that the kitchen goes light on the oil when ordering this dish. Lastly, the vegan gluten free chocolate cake was not to my liking at all. The texture was gummy and grainy. The flour alternative used had a sediment mouth feel. I would discourage anyone that is not suffering from Celiac’s Disease from ordering this. I hope to return to Hugo’s and try other things. I also hope that I don’t have another mixed experience
Good food with lots of customization options and plenty of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. You're bound to find something you love.
My second time at this location and the service and food are top-notch. Had the Cuban sandwich which was too much to eat so brought half home and got two meals put of it. My server, Spencer, was in the ball and actually directed one of my party away from a dish he said you could really get anywhere. We appreciated his honesty and upbeat mannerisms.
I love Hugo’s but the prices are way too high. Still I will continue to support because I know and appreciate how tough it is to stay open right now. So I’m happy to pay but know that the costs should go down if and when you’re able.
They did a great job during these very challenging times.
Always reliable and doing a nice job with COVID protection efforts.
We went for Dine LA and the food was deliscious, and there was a lot of it, we had a great time.
Perfection
Loved the environment and the food even more! Great first time experience!
Great food and service. Salmon Piccata was awesome.
Hugo's is one of our favorite neighborhood places. We have visited it often. Recently, prompted by the pandemic, they changed their menu and moved to outdoor seating only. The ambiance is not great but, given the circumstances, it's good enough. As for the food, it continues to be excellent. The new menu features a dish they call salmon piccata and my partner declared that it was wonderful. For my part, I stayed with an old favorite, the pan roasted salmon with garlic spinach. It is served with fingerling potatoes but they are very accommodating of special requests and I have it with their fried plantains. Beautiful!
Destiny was outstanding
Brought my friend to Hugo's for his birthday and we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. I had the salmon, he had the trout. For dessert, he the sorbet, me the chocolate mousse. The food, drinks and service were all great. I rarely go out on weekend evenings but this was very pleasant. In addition to the food and service, the noise level was low, the atmosphere not too frenetic and it was easy to carry on a pleasant conversation. I have visited the restaurant several times and will certainly go back.
With a restricted diet, I can always get something delicious that meets my dietary needs.
Consistent, reliable, and walking distance.
The selection, quality of ingredients and incredible flavors of Hugo's offerings keep us coming back regularly, despite the very energetic noise levels which can make an otherwise very enjoyable meal less than relaxing. I wouldn't discourage anyone from trying Hugo's, because the food and beverages are really worth a visit.
Overpriced for the quality of food. It was okay. There are way too many cuisines on the menu, so everything was bland.
Our kid shave multiple food allergies, and Hugo's is one of the most accommodating restaurants we've found anywhere in the country. The staff excels across the board, from chef to servers to hostess. It's one thing to be aware of allergies, and it's another to actually accommodate them. Hugo's gave my kids lots of choices, and they all found options that they loved. It was such a hit that we went 2 nights in a row.
You can always count on a healthy and delicious meal. I go frequently because i also like the variety of choices.
Food was clearly well sourced, organic, fresh and sooo full of flavor! The beet salad, trout and chocolate mousse were outstanding and such an awesome deal during DineLA! $29!
Food is always good at Hugo’s, if a little pricey. Service was great, though, and the choices are especially good if you’re a vegetarian.
Good food in a funky atmosphere.
I have celiac and they have the most extensive gluten free and delicious menu around! Love the food and the friendly staff! A+++ in Weho!!!!
Parking is scarce.
Be careful parking behind Hugo's. Very tight spaces.
Food was great and dietary concerns were easily addressed. Server was excellent!
Wonderful- so appreciate that they have an extensive gluten free menu for those with celiac disease. We will definitely be back soon!
This was a nice restaurant with a very friendly wait staff. Only complaint would be that the bartender was a bit slow
The food was great and our server outstanding. They are very skilled at modifying meals based on dietary needs. My wife and daughter are celiacs and, for once, didn’t have to worry about the food. A fantastic place! Highly recommend!
This was a great place for a group of six -- a wide range of choices and everyone was super happy with what they got. Very quick and nimble service. Really reasonable prices. Totally a keeper!
