Hugo's West Hollywood
What Insiders Are Saying
One of the original "healthy" restaurants.
The service was impeccable. The staff made us feel so welcomed. It was a birthday dinner for a friend and the complimentary cute dessert with the lit candle was a great touch.
I'll return there soon!
Service is always great, food is healthy and the quality is great!
One of my long time favorites. I’ve been going to Hugo’s for years & have never been disappointed. They happily accommodated my baby’s stroller parked next to our table.
Fantastic place for a group with varied food preferences. Gluten-free options were amazing!
This was our first time visiting Hugo's and what a great find! The food was fabulous and the staff was helpful and super friendly! This will definitely be one of our stops when visiting the Hollywood/West Hollywood area
I had the vegan Reuben sandwich. The vegan salami is made with mung beans. Sounds a little odd, but I couldn't believe how good it tasted. I'd have it again. Hugo's always has plenty of vegan and vegetarian options, as well as plenty of options for the meat folks. There's something for everyone.
Great food as always, Our server, Matthew, was fantastic.
Great place that has plenty of options for vegan, vegetarian and gluten free people. Interesting mix of cuisines but good overall. Reasonably priced.
Great menu. Very Celiac-friendly!
Our server was awesome, the food delicious and the cocktails/sparkling wine top shelf
I am Coeliac and I did not get any bad reaction from their food and I am super sensitive. I rarely eat out because lots of restaurants say they have gf options (and they do) but they don't understand how vital it is to avoid Cross Contamination. I trust these people. I definitely recommend for those who are genuinely affected by gluten. I don't care about GF fad dieters, they can eat wherever they like...For someone like me with a genuine medical need, I highly recommend Hugo's. 5 stars. Thank you so much for caring about us.
Food and service were very good. Waiter was very nice, but got my order wrong. Had to wait for a remake.
Very disappointing shabby atmosphere.
Staff very unhelpful. Not a pleasant experience at all. We did not stay for the food.
Been to Hugo’s many times. Almost always great. Today was sort of off a bit.
We went to Hugo's because of my food allergies, no wheat, no dairy, and they have a lot of options that fit with those restrictions. But, the food was awesome. We'll be back next time in LA.
I hate to write this because we have enjoyed this restaurant many times. Tonight my husband’s chicken was raw near the bone. We pointed this out to our server. She spoke with the cook, then brought the chicken back to the table. The cook said that because it was dark meat it was cooked correctly. We pointed out that serving undercooked chicken is dangerous. Our server asked if we wanted her to do something about it. We declined. We never ask for free food if there is a problem with a restaurant.
I fear that if they think that under cooked chicken is acceptable they may be violating other health concerns. I am truly sorry to say that I won’t return to Hugo’s.
Love the place. Very bummed that they ended their great Happy Hour. Will not go as often.
Great for a casual brunch!
Small portions and outstandingly unremarkable food. I have not been to Hugo's for many years and while the interior is much cleaner and modern than on my previous visits, the food was so boring that I cannot see ever returning. My server was excellent!
The server dropped an entire glass of iced tea on me & even though she apologized, she should've comped us something!
Sarah was great! Hugo’s has a great team and wonderful service
Selected Hugos because it was close to the event we were attending. It's an excellent day to day restaurant. A tad noisy, so if you're looking for something more intimate, this is not the place for you. Service was quick. Almost felt like they wanted to turn table too quickly. Granted we were there for an early dinner (6 pm), and maybe the late dining is more aligned to the celebrity of the area. I would go back, but may not be my first choice
Restaurant was average. Menu selections offered routine choices. Nothing was exciting or unique. The food was tasty and fresh quality. Fair price for the dinner meal, but desserts are too expensive. Noise level was awful. A table of eight people were loud and disruptive. Waitress was attentive and pleasant.
Variety of unique, delicious, foods at surprisingly reasonable prices. The very green casserole was healthy and filling. Good selection of drinks. Seems to be a big brunch place but we went at dinner and the ambiance seemed to be elegant yet casual.
This West Hollywood institution is as close to a Sure Thing as you're going to get for good, comfort food (Pasta Mama rocks!) and friendly, attentive service. We had breakfast on a Sunday morning, with friends from out of town -- we could hear each other speak, the food was great, and the service couldn't be better.
Kim Frankie Christian Spencer escador patrick Christina F are the BEST
Handled our significant food allergy challenges extremely well. Even had a list of ingredients for all menu items! Highly recommend!!!
We had a great breakfast and the food was so good we dined there 2 days in a row.
We have been to Hugo's many times by now but this qualified as the best yet. The chef had prepared chicken mole - to my knowledge, the first time on either the menu or specials list - and it was simply fantastic! The main attraction was accompanied by rice and beans, which also were better than the standard fare slopped onto so many plates. I sure hope this isn't the last time the item appears.
Hugo's West Hollywood is great. The service, food, atmosphere and Anthony were superb.
our server wasn’t very sincere, and she took away our
bill while we were still at the table
Hugo's continues to be my go-to for business breakfast, lunch and dinners! Excellent food, gracious staff and calm, respectful vibe! AND Hugo's supports non-profits I work with! Always a win win!
We have really come to appreciate Hugo's. As we have become more health-conscious in our food choices, it's great to have a restaurant in our neighborhood that offers a pleasant dining experience and healthy menu options. This particular evening we had the Asian stir-fry and Indian bowl and each of us loved our choices. We preceded our main course with the ginseng chicken soup, which was also quite nice. Hugo's will likely see more of us.
good food and easy parking. near shows so nice location.
We were five friends getting together to visit and have dinner, so, they sat us in the back where it’s quieter. The waitress was friendly and attentive. I had the very green casserole, which I’ve had before, and it was delicious. The others had a Mexican salad, the super green salad, steak and mac and cheese with chicken. Everyone enjoyed all their dinners.
The place was just ok. But the salad i had... OUTSTANDING! I would be back there only for the salad:)
It was actually terrible. And I never say that. The menu is misleading, the staff don't listen to your requests and it's terrible value
Food and service were very good. I like that you can design your own dishes.
