Decided to address our seafood crave head on. Blackened Scottish salmon served with broccoli and Brussels- fantastic. Hubby had the seafood jambalaya. Great service, nice ambience here. I had one glass of Rose and hubby had two beers, $84
We had an excellent dinner. We had a party of 7 for a birthday celebration. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The food and service was great.
Many of us are on weight watchers diet and it was very easy to find a great meal
We love Hugo's but it seems to be louder and more difficult to have a conversation each time we are there.
Bring back the “debris’ part of the Roast Beef Debris. New version is dry and lifeless.
Tried this restaurant a couple of years ago.....was not impressed but decided to give it another try. Equally as disappointed. Have been to C&S Seafood several times as well as C&S Chowder in Alpharetta always excellent quality of food, expected the same here but not the same, both had to send our fish back. Server and management acted quickly to resolve with a different fish and a complimentary dessert. Still.....probably won't go back.
Not nearly as good as every other time I've been here. Unfriendly hostess staff set tone for a disappointing night. Manager tried to make it right to her credit. Just too late at that point.
Server(Tyler) was great, food great love to go to Hugo!
Everything was great, except we felt rushed by our server. She was literally taking my plate as I was putting the fork in my mouth. Seems she was anxious to turn her table and we felt it all evening.
I always enjoy my experience at Hugo's. I found out about this place a few years ago, and return every few months when the craving hits. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars for the food is bc I wasn't a huge fan of the Voodoo mussles. They were over cooked and in my opinion overly spiced. Not heat spice, just overly spiced. It's the only dish I've ever ordered that I didn't love so I can't hate on Hugo's for that. Highly recommend to eat there, male a reservation on the weekend.
Terrific food and service as always. Great wait staff and outstanding manager.
Enjoyed the pet friendly outside seating. Great oysters and seafood. Service was good too. The light traffic noise outside is tolerable. I will return.
Good food. Great waiter. Great oysters.
Nice time - fab and fun Bloody Mary bar. Great for a lazy Sunday afternoon.
We had the raw oysters which were served on a bed of ice but the oysters were room temperature. They quicky replaced them and they were somewhat chilled. Raw Oysters should be served chilled. The other food we had was done perfectly and was very good.
Oyster Rockefeller was awesome as usual. Service was very good and checked back often. Fresh oysters were also very good. We will be back
Evening somewhat disappointing because of a very large networking group in the restaurant. The noise level was very loud and distracting.
Disappointing....chaotic, non-professional service.
Excellent as always. Love the red fish on a half shell.
Hugo's is a great restaurant for seafood and oysters. They also have a full bar with a good selection of wines and craft beers. We have eaten here several times and have not been disappointed. Recommend reserving a table in advance, this restaurant is generally busy. The food is served on a timely basis and wait staff is very good as well.
Food and place were excellent!!!our waiter was really kind of slow but maybe he was overwhelmed by the big parties that were there. Anyway we will be back!!! 😊
It was extremely warm in the restaurant. One of the bus boys was getting sick from being so hot. Food was very good. Our waiter was very good. Just cool the place down. Also the Bloody Mary bar was out of a lot of ingredients.
So it was Father’s Day Brunch and it was packed. Took a good bit of time to get seated even with reservation. The Bloody Mary bar was awesome. Our server had very little personality and forgot a good bit of our order. They had special Benedict’s for this special brunch. 2X my eggs came out cooked all the way through on the Hugo Benedict. We would like to try again when they are not so pressed. The menu looked very cool.
all but one of us is from Louisiana so it was very important that we get authentic Cajun /creole tasting food and if you like the spices that most Louisiana food is prepared with, you will like this place.
Food was fantastic. We had several appetizers including oysters on the half shell and grilled oysters. All were delicious. We had fish dish and stuffed shrimp for entrees. Both were really good. The beignets for dessert were amazing with caramel praline sauce. Service was great. It wasn't super crowded but our waiter was really good. No long waits on anything. Drinks were also good.
Busy place, be prepared to wait, regardless of reservation.
Average seafood, heavily season
Absolutely amazing!!! Will definitely be back very soon!!!
Only place we know how f to get blue crab fingers and they don’t disappoint! Bloody Mary bar is amazing too. Loved it all.
Went on a Tuesday. Live music. Great atmosphere and excellent food. Although this was not our first time in, we celebrated a birthday. Place and food gets better and better every time we go. My parents live in IL and this is one of their favorite places on the planet! We will be back soon.
Server was nice, but she was slow. Food was average at best. They ran out of the only steak they offer leaving my special needs son with only one option for a meal. The valet boy was a super nice young man. We tipped him extra. He sat in the pouring rain and was just as nice as when we came in.
This was our first time to Hugo’s and we will be back! We had a great meal and a fantastic server Pat who made great recommendations. There were 5 in our group and we tried a variety of dishes. I highly recommend their oysters rock and the redfish on the 1/2 shell.
Our waiter really was quite slow. No drink refills, our order did not come out all at the same time, the tables around us seem to be getting a lot more service from other waiters/waitresses during our time there. For the money, I was hoping for better service. We will try it again one more time and hope for a better waiter / waitress.
Bday great oysters
The food was just okay. The chargrilled oysters and the grilled shrimp were the best thing we had. The rest of the food lacked seasoning. We had to borrow the Cajun seasoning off of the bar. Would I try it again? Maybe
My wife and I dine at Hugo’s at least once every month and the food has been very good. This evening my shrimp was over cooked and my wife’s dinner was not as good as usual. For the cost of our dinner was not a value and question returning anything soon.
Sadly our experience there for Mother's Day was very disappointing! They were out of several things on the menu, it was so hot in there we were sweating, the service was ok, not great and the manager stood about 4 feet from our table doing absolutely nothing! When we left we told the hostesses how disappointing the experience was and they just said "yeah we know". The issue that we are most disappointed in was the lack of customer service and because of this we will not return or recommend this restaurant to others! =(
Arrived 10 minutes later than reservation for Mother’s Day lunch to find our table was given to other guests. Manager, Jonathan, resolved the mixup and we had a great lunch.
I’ve been to Hugo’s on a regular Sunday for brunch. It was delicious. I went today for Mother’s Day. It was absolutely horrible. The service was great - the food was terrible. 2 people got Crawfish Eggs Benedict - there was no crawfish on the plate. 1 got overcooked shrimp and grits with no grits on my plate - sent it back - it came back undercooked, again with no grits. The shrimp po-boys were terrible (7 shrimp each sandwich). The noise level was extremely high, could barely hear the person next to you. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience.
Great place, We love the Bloody Mary bar!
