Ambiance fun. Food excellent.
Parking is tight. Service ended up being good. We waited 10 to 15 minutes for service upon being seated. I called from our table as no one came by to greet us. All ended up well. Julia, Brea & Mikayla took great care of us after all. Good job Ladies.

I absolutely love this place! We went from a fiasco oyster festival to some of the best oysters I have ever had in my life. I have definitely made this my go to spot!!

This is our 2nd dining experience at Hugos and once again, it was great. Their oysters on the half shell are huge and the rest of the food was amazing. My husband had the parmesan crab crusted trout special and it was amazing. I went for a half and half po boy and it was great as well. All the food - when applicable - was nice and hot and the service was 5 star. Definitely will be back.

I grew up in New Orleans and this place reminded me of home. Great oysters and innovative dishes. We will be back asap.

This was probably my sixth visit to Hugo’s. All the others were fantastic. This last visit was a disappointment.
I started off with an appetizer of mussels. One bite and I knew there was an issue. I sent them back as you could tell these mussels were turning and close to the end of their shelf life. I seldom send anything back unless there is a quality issue. One would expect a manager to come by and check on this but one never dI’d. Several minutes later that same smell of mussels could be detected around my table. A pungent smell of mussels that should not be served. I was shocked to say the least.
For entrées, my date had amberjack which was a little overcooked and dry. I had a gumbo and crab Louie which were very good.
The service was good and we enjoyed our evening there. But I will have to say I was disappointed with how they handled and issue with food quality that should’ve been addressed and apparently never was.

Get the beignets. We had seafood gumbo which was not quite warm enough but a little on the spicy side. Crab Stuffed shrimp was very good. Oyster po-boy was good and had plenty of oysters. But the beignets with praline sauce was divine.

First time to Hugo’s, we had a great meal. BBQ shrimp appetizer; Gumbo; several oysters and Po-Boys; not to mention the chocolate pecan pie for dessert. Service was good and prompt... atmosphere had a nice “local” feel. A musician began part way through our meal and added a nice feel to the dinner. Plan to visit again.

Did not realize that there was not a lunch menu on Sunday. So a little pricey for a casual lunch. Food as always great, service a little shaky .(perhaps a new employee)

Hugo’s is always great. Love the Bloody Mary ba. I was so disappointed when pickled okra and bacon were not available at the Bloody Mary bar.

Seafood Gumbo was to die for! Service was slow with our waiter, but once the server's assistant started tending to us, it picked up. The server's assistant was attentive and polite.

Even though we had a reservation we had a delay due to other customers. The manager handled it perfectly and made it a very enjoyable evening. I travel and eat out more than most and have run into theses delays before but have never had the management handle it as professional as here. Great evening, great job & great food!!

We started venturing out to new places, and this one was great. Food was delicious, but a bit pricey. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was wonderful - small, but private where we sat. I definitely recommend.

Went for dinners on a Friday night. Has a reservation. Service was friendly and prompt. Food was very good. Loved everything we tasted. Do not let exterior fool you, inside is great. Will definitely return.

Hugo's was great. Took a group of 6 from work. Oysters from the east coast MA area were spectacular as was the red fish and the fish gumbo. Park was tight but they had free valet and the valet was great fast and helpful. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly and fast but respected the flow of our night and did not rush and timed the courses well. Rae to get that. Casual place with great seafood and great service. Way to go Hugo's.

As always, Hugo's is a great local place for a casual dinner. Their Fat Tuesday specials -- with raw oysters at $1.00 each -- is a real magnet attracting me and my friends; and they are great oysters. And don't forget to finish off your meals with their bread pudding for dessert. It is heavenly.

We had the BEST time and meal at Hugo's! Our food and cocktails were outstanding, and our server, Peter, was awesome. Even the valet guy was the nicest valet guy I've ever met. I can't wait to go back again!
