Hugo's Cellar - Four Queens Ratings and Reviews
We are locals who celebrated our 42nd wedding anniversary on Valentines Day, as we have in the past. As usual the dining experience was outstanding. We had the Chateaubriand steak with Lobster for Two! The steak was incredibly tender. The lobster was disappointing. But not because of the preparation, rather the flavor. We hoped to taste a signature sweet lobster flavor but it just wasn’t there. It has been years since we have liked the quality taste of lobster. Service was excellent. Price was a little high...overall it was worth the memories made.
Food was great! This time we were sat over to a side corner by ourselves and kinda forgotten about most of the time. It took 30 minutes to just place our order. But we still enjoy the food and atmosphere, even with the service not being all that wonderful this time.
I have been eating at Hugo's every time I am in Las Vegas for the past 40 years. I have never been disappointed. The food is the best, the ambiance is super and the service can't be beat.
We especially like the little tray of chocolate covered fruits and whipped cream that come as a special treat at the end of the meal.
My friend who lives in NA recommended me this place and he was correct. Classic environment, decent food and gentle services from those gentle waiters and waitress. All of those elements made a wonderful and juicy night. I will come again with my wife and order a seafood trio as my entree if I will visit Vegas some day in the future.
As always, Hugo's Cellar was a fabulous dining experience. We went during the Super Bowl, so it was VERY quiet. As the game ended, the restaurant began filling up. It still was at a comfortable noise level. The food was exemplary, and I highly recommend the Kona Coffee Experience for two at the end of the meal. Eric and Teddy were attentive, knowledgeable and very friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant, whether for a special event or simply a delicious meal.
Amazing experience! Saw great reviews about Hugo’s when I was looking for a romantic place for us to enjoy our night out together and couldn’t have picked s better place to dine, from The rose they gave my date to the outstanding service throughout our time there we felt like we were their focus and made the night memorable.
And the food? By far the best we had in Vegas, by far our best dining experience and we were at other more expensive restaurants on the strip. We definitely will return and highly suggest other couples to go here
Refreshing to find an old style steak house where the whole meal is one price. Most of Las Vegas has went to an alacarte style menu where you order each item separate and it is very expensive. The service was the best ever. Our waiters were very professional and nice. I will go here again if I come to Vegas.
Have eaten at Hugo’s several times over the years and while the food was superb as always, we were sat next to an access door to the bar which made for a noisy atmosphere. Wait staff was not as attentive as in the past the coffee table service for their normally wonderful Kona coffee did not work properly which resulted in us watching the wait staff work on it and re-light it for 10-15 minutes while they told us it will start working any minute, which it never did. We will likely eat here again in the hope this was just an off night.
Thank-you to the staff, I made the reservation and showed up the wrong night. They were helpful and we were there for 3 birthdays, my mom turned 75, my daughter turned 25 and my son turned 21.
Micheal our server was fantastic and a nice touch with the birthday dessert. When I return to Winnipeg the first thing I tell everyone is my excellent experience at Hugo's Cellar!
It’s our second time to this location. ( 4 person party) Tried it a second time because we thought we just got bad luck the first time. It took 2hr 15 to finally get to the end of meal. We got seated at 7:25 at 7:55 pm we waved down the staff to get in our wine order, 8;15 they finally took our food order. 8: 30 got our salad, main course came to us just under 30 min after the salad , got asked if we wanted dessert at 9:30 finally finish with the meal at roughly 9:40 way to much to sit around for a meal. Hey the water boy came around alot, we sat there so long we went through 2 bottles of wine because no matter how slow you sipped. We don’t mind Paying almost $50 for Chicken if the service is efficient. Never again, will go back to Echo & Rig steak house in Summerland.
We found this place through a family member. It's downstairs, you enter from inside the 4 Queens casino.
First time we went, we went back a second night on a 5 day stay
We get the Filet Mignon and Lobster tails and usually 1 1/2 bottles of Red Wine.
Thoroughly enjoy it and the staff is accommodating and great.
We were only in town 3 nights, so we came here for the last night.
It is now one of our go to places when we come to Vegas.
Would definitely recommend to anyone.
When we arrived, I was given a rose, which is different. I thought the atmosphere dark. I think they were going for romantic, but it was a little too dark. The wait staff was great, made good recommendations. The Sommelier recommendation was spot on. The filet was really good, perfectly cooked. They made our special occasion dinner stand out. This is an old school steakhouse that seems like it hasn't changed in decades. That could be good and/or bad, but in our case, we enjoyed ourselves and would dine there again.
Each year at an annual convention, four of us go out to dinner. This year the meeting was in Las Vegas, so we had our dinner at Hugo's Cellar. The entire meal was very successful. Presenting a rose to the woman in the group was a nice opening touch. The food was great and the service was excellent. We picked Hugo's in part because of how long they had been in business; we figured that a restaurant that has lasted for decades had to have something working for it and indeed it does. Thanks to all of the staff there for a wonderful evening.
I have dined here several times over past few years and it has always been great. Ordered the prime rib on last visit two days ago and it was sub standard. It is supposed to be one of their signature dishes. I don’t agree. Big fan of Hugos though and I will always return when in Vegas
Very disappointed in Hugo's. Had been there previously and enjoyed a wonderful meal with fantastic service. On this day, it was very noisy and difficult to hear and speak to others in our group. It took 20 minutes to get our cocktails and 45 minutes to get our food. The icing on the cake was the 45 minutes it took to pay our bill! No explanation as to why everything took so long, just an off-handed apology. The food was delicious and perfectly prepared. However, we were so tired of sitting and waiting we could not wait to get out of the place. We were there a total of 3 1/2 hours; I was embarrassed to have taken business associates.
My husband brought me to Vegas for my 70th birthday to see Celine Dion. The day after we arrived we found out she cancelled her show due to illness. I had been wanting to see her for over 15 years. Needless to say I was very disappointed. We had heard about Hugo's, believe or not, from one of the security guards at the Mirage where we were staying. So we decided to try it and also to see the old Las Vegas section. Hugo's was quite wonderful. So wonderful, that it helped make up for the disappointment in not seeing Celine. We were so happy to experience the fine dining and intimacy of the restaurant. The food was exquisite and the service top notch. We really enjoyed the all inclusive menu, from the salad being prepared at the table to the sorbet to clean the palate, the main course and finally to the complimentary assorted chocolate covered fruits. My husband and I would definitely recommend Hugo's Cellar to anyone going to Vegas.
