Hugo's Cellar - Four Queens
I've been in the past and had food that was amazing. Not this time. Hope it improves.
Must do while in Vegas. Great service and excellent meals!
We celebrated our anniversary. They were awesome. They met my wife with a rose and lead us to a nice booth where they explained the menu. The waiter warned us the portions were big and we could share if we chose. He also helped us pick our food, which was cooked to perfection. Then came a salad waiter, who treated us like royalty. He was a fun side as well. Then we had other waiter being us bread and drinks we ordered earlier. Everything was wonderful. They even bought us a celebration dessert. It was an atmosphere of the Sinatra era, where they knew how to treat people. You will love it.
The Prime Rib at Hugo's was fantastic, as always!!
Super fun, special place!
This Restaurant has definitely changed over the last few years. Food and service quality borders on poor. Service is so slow and it wasn’t that the restaurant was packed. There were some empty tables. Was very disappointed in our meal. To take a cab from the strip to eat at Hugo’s isn’t worth it. Save the cab fare and eat in the many quality restaurants on/ off the strip.
I've lived in Vegas for 25 years and, although we've heard great things, never had gone to Hugo's prior to this visit. The overall experience was nice (throwback to old Vegas) and the food was okay. We're a bit of foodies, so we really focus on the food. Hugo's is more about the experience. Dimly lit old steakhouse in the 'basement' of the Four Queens. Takes you back to a 1980s Vegas steakhouse kind of feel. The service was great, drinks were good, food was good. Wife got a seafood plate (3 types of seafood). Her fish was cold, other food was satisfactory. I ordered a medium-rare Ribeye and it came out raw. Now ... I really like my steak on the rare side of medium rare, but this was so raw I had to send it back. Instead of throwing the steak back on the grill, I could tell that they just put the whole plate (veggies and all) under the salamander/broiler to heat it up, as the plate was about 1000 degrees when it came out and the top of all the veggies were heavily browned. Not quite the culinary experience you want at a 'fine' steak house.
Again, if you are looking for old-Vegas feel and have the appropriate expectations, Hugo's would be a 'go-to' place, but as far as the food, there are a ton of other places in Vegas you could go for better quality at a comparable price.
Love this place!!!!! We will make a dinner reservation for Hugo's every time we are in Vegas...
Great food, great service, great ambience. Such a wonderful way to end our Las Vegas getaway. Very unlikely location for this quality restaurant, but it just added to the evening. HIGHLY recommend.
Really lived up to expectations. I had the crab stuffed filet. The most tender and flavorful steak I’ve had for many years. No question it’s expensive, but the service plus the food adds up to good value.
The crew at Hugo’s were fabulous. The food was outstanding as always. A big shout out to John who recommend our wine and Dean at the bar with our pre dinner drinks. Our guests enjoyed themselves. Thank you again. Look forward to our next visit.
The food was good but pricey. Service was poor from our server and we flagged down the guy making salads numerous times to get our server. We were there for 2 hours total. It's a beautiful place, but don't have anything planned afterwards that would make you pinched for time. Ambience is very nice.
Servers were good. Overall for the value, however, you can do much better in Vegas. Wine list was paultryand awlwction wasn’t that great.
The place came highly recommended by friends. The waiter was practically non existent. I had to constantly call someone for service. It was my daughters birthday and the staff forgot all special requests that I had made prior to the reservation. Food was decent, but I'd rather go to Gordon Ramsay or mon ami gabi to get a better steak for the price. Atmosphere and ambiance were excellent, and the roses are nice.
Great food, great service. Same as always. I have been going to this restaurant since 2000. Still great.
Just ok, to be honest our server mark was kinda rude and made us feel like we were an inconvenience and he had an order of doing things meaning every customer was the same which is what ruined the experince for us
Everything was really great, we were just a BIT surprised at the $26 sharing charge.....a little steep, it was expected but not that much. Our steak wasn’t as great as the last time but it wouldn’t sway me from going again. The place is great, service exceptional.
Fabulous restaurant downtown Las Vegas. In the Four Queens which used to be an interesting
place decades ago when they had live music. The lady gets a rose when seated, very romantic
with brick walls downstairs. The waiter staffer is great and many of them have been there
over 10 years. Great bar with huge cocktails for the price of one. The wine list is superb with
the sommieler (Jon Simmons) being there over 30 years. Don't ask him nothing about nothing
he might tell you the truth. Food is very good for the price and includes the salad made at the
table. A small dessert tray is also included. Highly recommended.
We were disappointed with a cocktail but were never asked how the drinks or food was. We didn’t drink it and they didn’t even ask why.
Very nice dinner at great prices. Food was excellent and the salad was one of the high points of the dinner.
A true hidden gem in Las Vegas. Ignore the dated decor and enjoy an outstanding menu, old world charm and great service. Do not be fooled by the locale. This is a diamond in the rough. You truly can’t judge this book by its cover.
First time and will def not be the last. Everyone there was amazing and the food is beyond words. Check it out if in the area...
Very special dining experience. Have enjoyed for many years. This time, though, our prime rib was not up to par.
The atmosphere continues to be the same warm cozy nostalgic feel. The service overall was relatable to normal. The food quality seems to have fallen off a little bit. Preparation was not as good as previous visits. Quality of food not as good as previous visits. It is still the same Hugos just not as good as I know it can be.
This is my favorite restutant in Las Vegas and has always been. It is old Las Vegas, the food is amazing. The only thing is that our waiter wasn’t as friendly or old Las Vegas as I have usually had. Our busboy was more attentive and interactive than the waiter. One of my faviorte things about this restaurant are that the waiters are very freindly and know about how Las Vegas use to be. I think with younger new staff they should be educated on the old Las Vegas history of downtown. It is a good conversation piece for locals like me and they should know the history of the restaurant they work at and the way downtown use to be. Las Vegas has interesting history and so does your restaurant.
Had dinner for my mother’s 70th birthday, from the long stem rose presentation, the recommended wine, the amazing table side service we all left with a very positive feeling. My mom had scallops she loved, my sister and I had fillets that were seared perfectly and seasoned to a tee. Can’t wait to take my husband back for dinner.
Visited many times service and food always phenomenal!
A perfect dinner after our wedding!! The staff was very attentive!! Wonderful experience!!
Steaks were excellent. Table side salad preperations added to the value of the meal. Prices include the table side salad and choice of vegetables, so cost is reasonable.
Great food, great service and accommodating of groups.
We go to Hugo’s every time we go to Las Vegas. In the past everything has been excellent. This time, however, the service was a little slower and the food was not as good as in the past. My steak and shrimp was smothered in sauce which took away from the taste of the food. While I would still recommend it because it is a classy restaurant, I’ll probably try someplace else to try on my next visit
Always an Ace in our visits to LV
Go! This is an awesome meal and will be back.
What a treat this place is! Great service amazing food added up to a perfect dining experience. Cant wait to come back!
Have been there many times. Always a great meal. Got the strip steak instead of the fillet. Was terrible. Total garbage.
I haven't been to Hugo's Cellar in MANY years. But I wanted a nice, romantic spot to take a date and decided I'd been away long enough. The place is fantastic-from being greeted at the entrance (and I always like that the woman gets a long stemmed rose). The service was great, as was the food. I would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone, and hope to be back again soon!
We went for a birthday celebration. Food and service was impeccable. We did find the atmosphere to be very loud and not as intimate as expected due to the HUGE convention in Vegas. Sounded like a sports bar. We were unimpressed with the restaurant allowing people in wearing shorts and flip flops.
Overall it was great, the food and our wait staff were great. The only complaint was the matridie He sat us at a table and then came back and accused us of moving tables. He even pulled my chair out for me. I told him that and he did apologize for accusing us. He was rude!!! Everytime we come to vegas we come to this restaurant. I will still go because of the food and our waiters.
Best time ever! Food, wine and service was spectacular. Celebrated my wife Lorrie’s 60th Birthday and it was very memorable.
The Hugo's experience is wonderful. The wait staff is professional and attentive, the food is excellent. Will return.
