Hugos is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. I have food allergies, and they always take good care of me by making sure I know all my options and making substitutes where they can (like vegan cheese). Not only that, I can have almost the entire menu. Usually I get 1-3 options, so it's wonderful to have so many options.

The service is always excellent here as is the food. The only thing that is a little difficult is that the main room can get a bit loud, especially if there's a large party in there, so try to request the sun room if you've got 4 or less.

Six of us, five of my friends and myself, came to enjoy a quick bite at Hugos tacos to celebrate a friends one year wedding anniversary. Hugos was absolutely slammed and had a limited amount of servers. Despite this handicap, they managed to keep a smile on their face, provided excellent service (Eric), and only ruined my one dinner! Ha ha ha They eventually got it right and having eaten there was certainly well worth it. As always…

We have eaten here repeatedly and like the diverse menu. I realize it was a Saturday night but we were seated right by the front door and waited 25 minutes with no service. Asked a busman for help. Nothing. Asked the hostess for help. She finally took our drink order and 10 minutes later hailed our waitress. Service ok after that. Food decent. Orange chicken pretty blah. Blueberry cobbler for dessert was dried out, weirdly seasoned and cost $8.75!!! Less than a thrilling experience.

Hugo's is one of my favorite go to spots for breakfast. Their high energy almond pancakes are amazing and they have great coffee! The waitstaff is always welcoming and pleasant. They have lots of options for health conscience people as well.

While the food is just okay, I don't feel like it's worth the money spent. Nothing was like, "wow" I need to come back here again. It does have many gf, vegan, and vegetarian options which is nice however.

I like Hugos because as Vegan Hugos offers a large selection for me to choose from which is not the case in most other restaurants. I can go with a non-vegan and we're both satisfied! The food is good, service is good, prices are reasonable, and I like it there for all of the above reasons. I tend to stick with dishes i like and "create a plate" which is a wonderful option.

As always, high quality and very tasty food prepared deliciously. The sauces at Hugo's are especially tasty and noteworthy. And also as always, not matter if the restaurant is busy or slow, the wait service is variable. Tonight it was only average.

The service was adequate; the food was subpar. We heard good things about Hugo's; however, although the pasta carbonara was adequate; the turkey meatloaf had to be sent back as inedible; it looked like the two slices of meat loaf were pulled out of a refrigerator and then grilled and topped with a salty corn-starch thickened gravy. The server suggested that we replace the second entree with orange chicken, one of the restaurant's featured item, and when it arrived, that dish, too, was problematic. Rather than chicken breast, Hugo's uses chicken tenders, or rib meat; one of three pieces of chicken was not cooked thoroughly, and the orange juice-based sauce, which also may have contained corn starch, was overpowering; and the brown rice was lukewarm. We asked for a check and left disappointed.

Our server was really nice, I enjoyed the vegetarian & gluten free options but the ambience was bland and when I tried the Apple Pay service through OpenTable the waiter had no idea what I was talking about or how to do it which was a bummer because I wanted to surprise my date and pay for our dinner in secret but because I had to explain to the waiter out loud my date the surprise was blown and he ended up paying.

A friend recommended I visit Hugo's while on a business trip in Westlake Village for one night. I am so glad she did! My server, Giovanni, was so helpful offering his favorite selections from their almost entirely gluten-free or GF modifiable menu and incredibly attentive throughout my meal. I wish there were Hugo's around the country and can't wait to go back on my next trip to the Los Angeles area.

This was our first time eating at Hugo's restaurant. We went out with another couple to celebrate our anniversaries. The food was simply delicious and the ambience was perfect in the patio room. We especially loved the freshness of the food and the fact that you have so many vegan entrées. Our server couldn't have been better. He was so friendly and nice ( I only wish we knew his name). We will definitely be back to your restaurant.

Very disappointing overall. They seem to be understaffed in terms of waiting tables and bar-tending. We ordered drinks and appetizers. Half the drinks arrived before the appetizers, the other two sat waiting to be picked up, then came just as the meal came out. One martini wasn't cold and was sent back. The replacement took a long time and was also not cold. I would have liked to have had another cocktail but couldn't be sure how long it would take to get it, so didn't bother. Three out of four of us were satisfied with our meals. The sides for the fourth meal were not hot. We suggested they comp the drinks, but they were still on the check. When we complained again, they did comp them. I wouldn't be in a hurry to go back, which is too bad because they have an interesting and varied menu.

I ordered my mojitos and appetizers with my entrees all in one order to help our waitress from making several trips back to our table since it took her 15 minutes to even arrive at our table. Got our appetizers and 2 minutes later our entrees. After about 15 minutes in to eating our meal our mojitos showed up(which I don't think there was any alcohol in them and at this point I need some to calm me down). Some of the veggies on my plate were cold....don't think things are made from scratch and already have items sitting in kitchen under heat lamps or all prepped in the morning just watering to get a quick heat up. The restroom was clean as well. All around the service was not impressive and the prices were more than should have been for the quality of the plate that came out of the kitchen.

We had high expectations for our first time dining at Hugo's. The menu had tons of vegan and vegetarian options which was a huge plus. The food was good if you like trying new things and want to eat healthy. The service was terrible!!!!! The server was clueless about the menu. She never checked on us or fulfilled our drink orders. We went during happy hour but never received our drink orders. We had to go up to the bar each time we needed a drink or track down another server to make multiple requests for drinks as our server seemed missing in action. We were there for over an hour and the majority of that time was spent wondering if our server was ever returning. Would not recommend or go back again!!!!!

Service was excellent , meal was very appetizing. This was my first visit and I have many food allergies that makes it tough to eat out. However, through opentable notes I was able to provide my list and pre-order giving the chef a heads-up. They were able to accommodate fully and still managed to make the food very appetizing. Very satisfied with the whole experience!
