Hudson Grille Ratings and Reviews
The food and service were excellent. The menu covers all the bases and provides a large selection. The prices are reasonable but the portion sizes could be larger. I ordered the tomato bisque soup and the salad with shrimp. The salad was priced like a meal, but the portion was appetizer sized. The sound level was so loud I could not hear the people I was sitting next to.
The Hudson Grille was an outstanding choice for us as we went there for dinner this past Saturday . They had a round table tucked away in a quiet corner that accommodated us all nicely. One reason we chose The Hudson Grille, is one of our party suffers from Celiac Disease and they have a varied Gluten free menu. The regular menu had many nice choices as well.
I had and would recommend; Fried Lobster Dumplings, Filet Mignon Kebabs and the Seafood Risotto. All were delicious. It was a beautiful place to have a delicious dinner. I started off with a clam chowder. Quite good. What stood out the most was how tender the clams were. Very rare, well done. Crab cakes also delicious. I ordered Filet Mignon. Wow. Butter tender with a crusty outer edge. Mine was cooked perfectly. In Sum, I will go back to the Hudson Grille. There's a decent amount of parking around back and also a municipal parking lot on the side street facing the back of the restaurant.
We've been here many times and usually are very happy with everything but this time we were a little disappointed. My daughter ordered pasta carbonara that she didn't like at all and barely touched it. My husband didn't care for the crab cake blt either. The bus boy just cleared her dish away and didn't ask if everything was okay. I'm sure if the waiter had seen that she didn't touch her pasta that he would have done something about it.
Great place in the warm weather as you can sit out back. Tvs to watch football on but not intrusive. A little noisy but not bad. Menu always great and specials quite tasty. Better if the entree came with a salad and not a la cartel but not a downer. Been here before and will be back.
This was our second time visiting Hudson Grille and both experiences were very enjoyable. This past winter we ate in the dining room prior to going to the movies. The food was very good and waitstaff pleasant. This Sunday we ate outside at the restaurant's very nice outdoor dining area and the delicious coctails and heat lamps kept us warm and cozy on a cool September evening.
Had never been to Hudson Grill but had heard a lot about it. Food was not out of the ordinary but the presentation was inviting, food was tasty and served as ordered (Steak was perfect!). Prices were fair. There were enough menu choices for myself, my daughter and a girlfriend whose birthday we were celebrating. Cocktails rocked! We sat on the terrace or patio on a very nice day. The service was attentive without being overbearing and after brunch did not feel we were being rushed to leave. Will definitely go back to try another menu item and more cocktails!
We went there for my birthday where my parents came to visit from Long Island. We specifically went there for Sunday brunch because it was so recommended by our friends. We were a table of 5 outside. The food was ok until my wife found a black hair in her salad which none of us had black hair. We sent back 2 mugs because they were filthy, and my wife ordered an Irish coffee and was given an iced coffee. Only thing that was good was the hash browns, and the birthday chocolate cake they brought out.
The ambience of the restaurant made it a worthwhile experience. I had a salmon salad but thought the salmon was overcooked. My father seemed to enjoy his burger so that made me happy and my sweet potato fries was good so I have no complaints there. The only issue I had was with the wait time between the appetizer and the entrée. I felt that it was entirely to long but other than that I am glad my father enjoyed his father's day.
