Very good food and atmosphere but very expensive for the portions you get.
We arrived early for our Thursday evening reservation, and the restaurant was clearly not super busy. The hostess made a huge deal of having to check to see if we could be seated early. High drama to finally be seated 10 minutes after arrival.
Waitress was rude and rushed. Brought us the wrong menu, and we had to nearly tackle her to get her attention. Food was good, portions small, and over priced. Not a good value for the money spent. My cocktail was wonderful.
Atmosphere was decent.
The blackened fish sandwich was amazing, it stole the show. The house salad was delicious as well. However buttermilk fried chicken sandwich was nothing special and we will never order it again..it didnt have any flavor, perhaps it just couldn't compete with blacken fish. Our waiter was EXCELLENT, he was very welcoming, friendly and ready to go over the menu with us.
They were serving a shrimp bisque that was absolutely the best I have ever eaten. It was wonderful. The filet was perfect, medium with a "push", and the mashed potatoes were actually real! The cocktails were luscious and our server, Christen, was very accommodating and pleasant. Such a great atmosphere. I'll be back.
When we arrived we were informed they were running 15 minutes behind for reservations, ok I understand it was Mother’s Day. I had reserved an inside table and was then seated at an outside table this was okay at first because the patio area is heated but the chairs are not comfortable and at some point a door was propped open which made the area cold on this damp rainy night. Our server was ok, she forgot refills a few times and needed to be asked by us to bring them. We needed to ask if there was a special and needed to ask about dessert. I’m glad I’ve been to Hudson 29 before to know this is not their normal service. This was a bit disappointing for Mother’s Day.
I need to eat a gluten free diet and both visits to Hudson 29 has resulted in wait staff being knowledgeable about the menu and just what would fit into my dietary restrictions. This is a welcome change to most restaurants I've visited. Food was excellent! We will be back!
We returned to Hudson 29 for a mothers day brunch. It was very good but not great. We have been there many times and it seems to have slipped a bit in the last few months. Service was fantastic, everything else was ok.
Filet was Next Level! Our server, Jeff, was too! The cheeseburger was the best I’ve had in Columbus. Sorry Thurman’s! Keep up the great work.
Overall, very pleasant even with a
Our food was wonderful! Our server was amazing. Even one of the buses (Ross) stopped and talked to us. It was a perfect 10 day!
The food was delicious overall. My husband had the French dip which he loved.
I had the Chinese chicken noodle salad. It was great except for the mint in it. It just didn’t “fit” the other flavors.
We ordered the pineapple upside down cake donuts. I remember them having more pineapple flavor before. The caramel dipping sauce was heavenly but overpowered the donuts.
Always a great place to celebrate! The food is always exceptional and staff are friendly and inviting. Special thanks to our server Kristina (I hope I remember her name correctly), she was wonderfully present. Thanks Hudson 29 for making Mother's Day a memorable one.
great food and service, but extremely loud and hard to hold a conversation.
Always love Hudson 29! Food and drinks were great and service was fantastic. We sat on the East side of the restaurant that was much quieter and more cozy than the rest of the restaurant.
Food was excellent. Really enjoyed pineapple upside down cake donut with caramel sauce for dessert. The blood orange margarita was also very good.
Another great meal at a Cameron Mitchell's restaurant!!!!!
Very nice dinner. The seared scallops were phenomenal. The pasta was good, but nothing special. Good portions. I felt like we were rushed - the soup came before we could finish the appetizer, and the dinner was close behind. It would be nice to feel more relaxed.
We had a quiet table, not too close to others which was nice. Our waiter was outstanding....shared a bit about himself and made us feel comfortable. He answered all of our questions and made suggestions as well. The meal was very good...better than almost any restaurant we have been to. The value was not as good as some other places. If you go, expect to pay. Our total bill was over $60 and my husband had a sandwich and we both drank only water. Lunch at Hudson 29 is a better value.
Thank you, David, for taking such great care of my grandparents!
Always terrific service, food, and cocktails! The patio was perfect for our lunch.
Very nice dinner outside.
Hmmm.....this was not our best dinner at Hudson 29. The NY Strip was just ok (grizzly) and the Brussel spouts were just bland. My husband and daughter felt the same way.....it was just "OK"
We celebrated Mothers Day a week early because the family was in town. It was a wonderful and relaxing brunch at Hudson 29.
Stupendous experience once again. This is one of favorite restaurants in a city filled with great dining options. The menu options are healthy, creative and dependably delicious. Whether we are hungry for fresh seafood, a salad, steak or just cocktails and appetizers, we’ve always found it here. The service clearly indicates that the employees care about every moment of your experience. I can’t say enough good things about Hudson 29. You just need to experience it yourself.
This is the second time we have had our anniversary dinner at Hudson 29. (We also frequent other Cameron Mitchell restaurants for our anniversary). The reservation was very easy to do online, the atmosphere energetic and happy, and the food delicious. All of the staff including our server were very friendly and efficient. It’s the details and staff at the Mitchell restaurants that make them special.
Delicious food! We thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Nice atmosphere and not overly noisy.
Consistently a pleasant place to dine while bvisiting our son at OSU.
Both the prime rib and Brussel sprouts were way over salted though cooked properly. I ate at Hyde Park last night and the Brussels sprouts and ribeye were cooked just as well but far more pleasantly seasoned. Hyde Park really got it right.
Great server, wonderful atmosphere. Food was incredible.
Service and food are always great!
We come there for lunch and can make it back to work in time.
We love the decor and ambience. It is a "go-to" place when we are in town. My hubby raved about the trout, and I especially liked the chardonnay. It was my daughter's birthday, and she could not get over her warm carrot cake dessert! We'll be back again.
Wait staff excellent.....attentive but not too attentive. Willing to make good menu suggestions. Craft beer selections limited in my opinion. Food presentation and quality exceptional
This place is WAY over priced....$19 for a French Dip that's just meh....nah....won't be going back.

Noise level was very high and detracted from the overall experience.
We were seated at the time we made our reservations (in fact, about ten minutes early) The hostess was very friendly. Our server did an outstanding job. We wanted to split a French dip. She took care of it and it turned out great. We haven't been to Hudson 29 for awhile, and we are wondering why. It was an enjoyable dinning experience. We will be back!
Thank you so much for choosing to dine with us and taking the time to leave us your feedback! We hope to see you again soon!
Surprising as been before not on there A game. Sat at the bar and the service was limited. Had to ask to order no check ins on another drink, hows the food it was disappointing. Also saw our food sit under the light for a bit so Luke warm but was going to a show so didn’t share not that we were asked anyways. Not to the standard of a Cameron restaurant that we are used to. 3 bartenders sure one was primary for the servers . Should have been more attentive next time will consider sitting at a table vs the bar if we return to this location
Thank you for taking the time to leave us your open and honest feedback. We pride ourselves on taking tremendous care of our guests and we sincerely apologize for dropping the ball on your experience. We would love an opportunity to make it up to you. Amazing staff and totally recommend it!!
Our first visit and definitely not our last one! The weather was spring like and we dined al fresco. Everything tastes better outdoors! The salmon was prepared perfectly: moist and slightly crisp on the outside. The couscous side dish was outstanding!
Easter Sunday dinner. When seated where we were, we had to steal a candle and still use phone lights to be able to read the menus because of darkness. Food was excellent though pricey. Service was wonderful.
Been to Hudson 29 on many occasions... never leave disappointed. Great food! Great service! Will be back again...
