What a fantastic place- service was fantastic, food amazing and ambiance was perfect. In town for a college graduation but will be back!!!
Great evening at Hudson 29. Service was exceptional as well as the food. I would highly recommend.
great Mother’s Day dinner
Great food and service. Plan to return often in the future.
Our Mother’s Day visit was not as good as previous times. Our meals were tasty but for the price the two prime rib dinners and the salmon dinner had only one side included and no bread. The roasted chicken salad was delicious as always. We ordered the yummy Texas sheet cake for two of us to share, but our server didn’t bring flatware. We had to ask the bartender. Other than that, our server was very gracious and attentive.
Reserved a table in their outside dining area yet they sat us at a table in the middle of the main dining room. Then it was almost 10 minutes until we were greeted by our server. I had to ask the bus boy if he could check on who our server was. The food was excellent. I had the prime rib and it was fantastic, cooked to perfection. When we were finished the server gave us our check immediately, never even offered us dessert. Good thing there is a Johnson’s ice cream location almost next door. I don’t think I will return, too manny other good choices near by!
It was ok, not near as good as the first time my wife and I went. Was a little disappointed based on our first visit. Wait staff was too busy and we weren’t taken care of for the price we spent (for two adults and two kids, almost $200). I wanted to love it since we loved it the first time...but it fell short. We will probably try again, but not sure. Sticky toffee pudding was great, however. Definitely get that!
Reservation on Mother's day was right on time!
Went for Mothers Day, 3 of 4 of our meals were good the wife's was cold. We all had the prime rib. She also didn't care for her Bloody Mary. Deserts were very good. Overall a tad pricey but all but on eof our table enjoyed it.
Typically a great experience, however this visit the food (3 fish meals) was way overcooked and bland. Spent over $300 for 4 people, would have expected more.
Seated immediately, but waited 20 minutes before our server came to our table. Multiple tables were seated after us and severed immediately. That was frustrating. Otherwise, the food was excellent. Feel as if we overpaid based on the service.
Reception was especially nice and seating was very nice for our anniversary visit.
Great food and atmosphere, service is excellent. This is a great restaurant does cost a bit more but worth it.
Our waitress was excellent! The Sea Bass was fantastic, the Blackened Snapper was ok. My only complaint is they don’t serve any bread. We ordered the cheese stuffed bread as an appetizer which is $10 for 3 rolls with cheese and marinara sauce. I would maybe pay $5 if I had to, but thought it was over priced.
2 out of 5 meals were fantastic. 3 were mediocre. This is our fifth trip and we experience inconsistent quality of food. Nice people. Good service. Great atmosphere.
Nutritious quality food, good and prompt service. Friendly and professional staff.
Server was great. Wine pairing with seafood outstanding. Noise level higher than wished for long conversations. Pricey but tasty. CM knows how to do seafood right.
Fantastic service from Jeff and the food was incredible. One of the best filets I’ve had.
Best experience yet at Hudson 29. Two different salmon preparations, both excellent. Cantonese salad fresh and delicious as usual. Cocktails, sides, and desserts all wonderful. Clean plates all around! Service in particular was excellent this time - welcoming, attentive, and authentic.
This was my first time at Hudson 29, and I will definitely be back. Incredible atmosphere, amazing food and great service. I had requested to sit by a TV in order to watch the CBJ game. I didn’t realize the restaurant only had them by the bar, but sure enough, our request was obliged and we were able to view the game perfectly. Be sure to save room for dessert - the Texas sheet cake is to die for!
With exception of 20 minute delay in being seated, everything was great.
Not a lot of people in restaurant but the service was slow.
The best place in Ohio. I have never had as yummy food as they have to offer. Honestly just a 11/10 place.
Though the service and dining area were lovely, the meal left something to be desired. I got the prime rib and there wasn't a ton of flavoring and the au jus was definitely different. The mashed potatoes contain scallions and onions so I left those be. My husband got sushi (volcano and Hawaii 5-0 rolls) and all he has to say is that it was good. I got the French 75 yummy drink and it tasted just like a mimosa... A $10 mimosa. He got a beer that be enjoyed as well. All in all, our bill was just under $100 before tip, and we both agreed that though we don't mind spending that much for a meal, it just wasn't up to what we think it should have been for the cost.
Great meal everything cooked to temperature and tasted great. Service is to notch, great place to go for a great meal and great atmosphere.
Just moved to Ohio and went to Hudson 29. Great atmosphere, super service, and the food was outstanding! Very fresh! Our server answered all our menu questions and we loved her suggestions. We will be back!
I take my family here for early dinner at least 4 days a week since Hudson 29 first opened. The staff is amazing and food quality is superb.
One troubling note. I was told that that they will be getting rid of the craft brew bottles and replacing them with Bud, Bud light, etc. My point is, if I want a craft can of this or a bottle of that, we will have to go elsewhere.
Not your greatest idea.
Easter Sunday dinner with family and a friend. Awesome place, great food, fine service and good environment.
Small menu so limited selection. Foods we ordered were good and well presented. Patio was covered and heated but it was difficult to hear others in our party. Front desk staff seemed inexperienced but server was great.
This was our second time at the restaurant and a very positive experience both times. The food and service were excellent.
We made our first visit to Hudson 29 to celebrate our 40th anniversary. They were aware of this. Unfortunately, we were seated in an area which was centrally located for the wait staff to conduct their business. It was a disappointment not to have a quiet, romantic setting. Continually, throughout our visit wait staff hustled from place to place and we were right in the center of it. It was a disappointment. We will think twice before returning.
One of my go to places to eat. I’ll be back. Service and food was delicious.
Server, Greta, was great. Very helpful without overdoing it. Meal was excellent.
Would recommend and will return.
Great food & service! Hudson 29 never disappoints!
Hudson 29 is our 'go to' spot in New Albany. Hands-down!
Very nice restaurant for a casual dining evening. Service was outstanding and the food was exceptional.
Server was personable and gave great suggestions. We ordered our dinner and enjoyed the filling but yet not over stuffed feeling. We got dessert too and it was delicious! Recommend the scallops, filet, and Texas chocolate cake for dessert!
Our favorite place to dine!
Wonderful service and food
Great service by Carly and the food is extremely tasty
