Great meal all cooked perfectly and tasted really good, service excellent
I thought the food was excellent. I had the special and my wife had the scallops. The waitress brought me the wrong meal at first, and after I took a bite she showed up and said that it wasn't what I ordered and that she had picked up the wrong meal. After a few minutes, my meal arrived, and it was very good. We got a free birthday dessert, the Texas sheet cake, which was excellent. Unfortunately, however, where I paid the bill with Bonus Cards and Gift Cards, the waitress didn't bring back the gift card that still had $39 on it. I had to go up to the wait stand to ask for my Gift Card back. She checked to make sure I was getting the correct one, and we were soon on our way.
Excellent Food and service, We were seated near the doors to the patio area and also one of the server stations so the ambiance, including activity in the aria and the draft from the door was not the best.
Although it was two days past our anniversary, the restaurant still recognized the milestone and provided a fabulous carrot cake to boot. Service was great and food was superb.
Good service, great cozy, atmosphere but overpriced. $22 for a plate of pasta is a bit much. Especially without an including soup or salad.
My girlfriend and I went to Hudson 29 - New Albany for Valentine's Day and had a wonderful experience. Our reservation was for 8 pm, but due to our schedule we arrived an hour early. We sat at the bar for an appetizer and some wine for about 20 minutes and were then informed that we were going to be seated early. The bar staff, waiter and hostess were all incredibly nice, welcoming and knowledgeable. The salmon and kale salad was great as well as the Texas sheet cake for dessert. We will definitely be back for our next special occasion. Highly recommend.
Our waiter was spot on and immediately acknowledged our anniversary and offered free dessert right away. He was attentive and the food was brought out very timely. The food was so delicious! I don’t think I’ll be able to eat sushi anywhere else! The desserts were beyond good! We plan on making this our go to place for special date nights!
Thank you for making our evening special!
The food was excellent, we each ordered a different appetizer and each was meal excellent. Portions were nice, Aaron was very attentive to our table, very knowledgeable about the specials. We would recommend to others to eat at Hudson 29.
Had to wait 39 minutes for my table on Valentine’s Day even though I reserved it
We made a reservation for Valentines Day. We had to wait for an extra half hour after our reservation time. There was not a good waiting area and we ended up waiting next to the bathroom. Other than that, no complaints. I have read that this is an issue with this restaurant, they should possibly offer less reservations as a large amount of people were waiting an extra half hour for their tables.
Had reservations at 8:15p for Valentine's day. Waited 57 minutes to be seated. Learned from the manager they booked over 300 reservations in 45 minute increments - The management should have known that no one comes to a fine dining establishment and finishes in 45 minutes - it takes 30 just to get your food. We ordered appetizers as well (as I'm sure many do, they're delicious!) which extended our mealtime to almost 1:45mins.
This exact same thing happened on New Years; our reservation took OVER an hour on NYE. Management needs to be less greedy if they want to maintain client base.
We eat at Hudson29 nearly every week; sometimes multiple times in a week during the summer when the patio is open. We're now looking for another local location for special events, as it's not even worth bothering with Hudson29 anymore.
They were so overbooked. Reservations were for 8pm. Didn’t seat us until 8:35. Tried to seat us on the enclosed patio. Even though there were heaters, it was still cold. Asked for a table inside and they got one for us right away.
Food was undercooked. Table was 45 minutes late. This was on Valentine’s Day and first experience at this restaurant. We will not go back.
Service and food were amazing as usual. We had a dinner reservation for 7:45 and were not seated until after 8:30. That was extremely frustrating. Again the service and food were great - the wait was not.
We had a reservation at 7:45 but were not seated until almost 9:00! Yes it was Valentine’s Day but we had a reservation.
Food and service was excellent. Didn't like the fact that we had to wait 20-25 minutes after our reservation time, and we had an early dinner reservation.
Excellent food and service. Harry our waiter did an excellent job. Great variety of very tasty appetizers.
Didn't like were our table was located, and impacted our enjoyment of the excellent food and service.
Also 30 minutes delayed with our reservation, but it was Valentines day, so probably overbooked.
Never disapppointed at Hudson 29. Great food, excellent staff.
Valentines Lunch! Great food and nice ambiance!
Overall the food was delicious, our server was enjoyable, professional and did add to our experience in a positive manner.
Our problem was that several weeks ago we made reservations at 6:15 in order for us to enjoy our meal and drinks and able to make a performance at the McCoy Center on time with friends. When we arrived at Hudson on time we were told they were running behind. They were waiting for the people at a table who had already paid to get up. At 25 minutes late we said we had to be seated somewhere, which was outside on the enclosed patio. Not awful but not our first choice.
Yes, restaurant gave us a choice of an app on the "house." And yes it was delicious. But we had to hurry through dinner, pay while eating our main course and still late to meet our friends.
When is it professional to offer the people a gift certificate for a free app or dessert on their next visit and ask them to get up so that we did not have to be rushed through an evening we were looking forward to with friends. The "free app" for us did not take away from what could have been a lovely evening to a stressful evening and time spent with friends cut short.
My wife and I had a very nice steak dinner along with a fine bottle of wine. Excellent service, and the food was outstanding. Could not have been better.
Good food and great service and the patio was warm on a cold evening!
The food and service was exceptional!
We love ALL Cameron Mitchell restaurants. Cannot go wrong w any of them
Exceptional dining experience. Great food & service
I made a reservation to celebrate a friend's 40th bday; plus the arrival of her new baby for 6 of us. When I arrived there must have been an issue w/the bathrooms because there was a horrible smell at the entrance. The host was great; he took me to our table promptly; friendly. The table was in eyesight of the kitchen. I really don't like when I make a reservation and I have to look at the kitchen where the servers are going back and forth. The server was very sweet; but very SLOW. One of our guests ordered a water glass - because we were missing one - and it took over 10 minutes for it to arrive after we reminded her. I pre-ordered a gluten-free dessert (as a surprise) for the bday girl; but it arrived after everyone signed their checks; and we all had to get going. It also came w/out a bday candle. Another server recognized that there wasn't a candle and brought one out after we were served. My sushi was just okay; but the shrimp omelet was excellent. For the prices you pay at Hudson 29 I expect a lot better.
Food seamed to be prepared for fancy eye appeal and not taste and value.
Always dependable service and culinary quality. My favorite place to eat, in a booth for some quiet conversation after a long day.
The service was excellent from the moment we walked in the door. I had the Sea Bass recommended by our server and it was excellent. My husband had the Prime Rib which he said was good but had quite a bit of fat. He is ordering the Sea Bass the next time.
As a loyal customer of the CMR group Hudson 29 New Albany has always delivered in all points of operating an upscale restaurant. We just hope some day that there will be a CMR restaurant in Granville.
Been twice and both times meals were really good and service was terrific. Dessert is toffee pudding, and it is delicious !!
It was MUCH quieter than last time. So glad I gave it another chance. Love the dark cozy feel.
Great meal cooked just right service was good atmosphere is great, good place to go for a great dinner.
Excellent everything. Love this place - especially the ambience. Quiet for conversations. Never rushed.
We ended up on the patio which was somewhat warm even though it was frigid and snowing outside. It was loud out there! Inside seemed to have a good ambiance and the noise level was definitely different between there and outside. I had the Bourbon Homey cocktail, which helped to keep me warm! We tried the trio of dips, which was definitely worth it for the smoked trout dip alone. Our server was friendly and attentive to our needs. Our dinner was excellent. I had the Jerk Chicken special and my husband had the Surf and Turf. Both meals were delicious. I would definitely go back given the distance from our home, the service, and the food. I would definitely make sure I was not on the pat iou o again, unless it is a sunny and warm day, not in winter. Thank you as always for the wonderful cocktails, food, and wonderful service expected at all Cameron Mitchell establishments! Well done!
The food was excellent as always. I tried the scallops for the first time and it was delicious. Loved the preparation and combination of flavors. My only complaint is the long wait to be seated in spite of arriving on time for our reservation, and then waiting again to retrieve my checked coat. At the end of the evening, there was no one at the hostess stand for several minutes - I finally had to ask the bartender to go find the hostess. You can do better.
This was our third time to Hudson 29. While our server was very nice and professional, the food lacked in quality, especially for the price. There were four of us at the dinner table, and no one had an exceptional experience. The sushi roll was room temperature and mushy. Each person ordered a different main course, from Salmon, to steak enchiladas to chicken sandwich; okay flavor and the food was slightly cold. Dessert (chocolate sheet cake) was most definitely the best part of the meal.
