FANTASTIC! Celebrates our daughters 26th birthday and couldn’t have chosen a better place! Food was phenomenal, service was exceptional and ambiance was beautiful. Overall fabulous and can’t wait to go back!

Very pricy for a mediocre food.

Excellent waiter. Really knows his wine! However, recommended the sea bass and it was fishy tasting and had a strong smell.

We both ordered the filet which was the best I’ve ever had!! Sides did not wow as much as the filet. Au Gratin potatoes would be better if they were thinly cut versus big chunks of potatoes. Fried rice was very interesting only ours was barely room temperature along with the mashed potatoes which were nothing amazing and also cold. Service was great though and I would definitely be back. Top meal of my entire vacation!!!

Quality of food was excellent. Staff were motivated and happy to be at this restaurant. Nice ambiance. Wine by the glass was excellent. Expensive but easily worth the cost.

We had a wonderful dinner at the grille. Our waiter Jackson was superb and went out of his way to show us the stairs to leave the restaurant and only went back after we had descended safely.

The value is so poor based on the lamb chop dish chosen it was $50usd and only had 3 small chops( meat on top of chop the size of a golf ball) and a small bunch of green beans
Cesar salad was a very plain chopped bowl of small
romaine pieces with store like shredded Parmesan the only interesting thing was a deep fried anchovy mixed in, for $18usd

The best part of the meal was the dessert, good piece of German chocolate cake

For 1 large beer, 1 appetizer salad, 1main entrée and 1 dessert, no cocktails, no wine, no tea; essential a meal for 1 person = $135 before tip

The location is nice. It has a direct view of the golf course along with partial ocean views.
The ambiance is nice. The decor is casual but elegant.
The food was not good or bad. It was edible, but it lacked flavor. Surprisingly, the food presentation was lacking which surprised me because the menu has 5 star pricing. The restaurant is known for steaks, but I ordered seafood platter. The lobster was under cooked, the crab and shrimp were over steamed, and the fish had no flavor.
The service was the most outstanding flaw of the restaurant. Our food was served cold. No one offered to refill our glasses, so our meal was eaten with no water or wine. The waiter did not come back to our table once after we ordered until he brought the check.
Our experience was very disappointing. The hotel is lovely, but the same quality is severely lacking in the restaurant.

We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. They made the evening special. The perfect table overseeing the sunset. Service and food was spectacular. The German Chocolate cake should not be missed. Magical evening 🌺

Beautiful location at Hualalai Four Seasons resort. Golf course views, and relaxing atmosphere. Expensive, yes, but service was excellent and food was delicious. Steak cooked perfectly was juicy and tender, Kauai shrimp cocktail and fried rice also excellent. Good wine list by bottle or glass. Will return!

Service is always great. The menu is overpriced, even by Hawaiian standards. The steaks were good, but for the price, probably wanted to be larger. The Kona coffee steak sauce, with peppercorns, was a miss. The other two sauces they make are good. Cesar salad great. Children’s menu very attractive. The view is nice, but the other two restaurants at four seasons Hualalai are superior.

We were a party of 10. It was our 50th anniversary celebration. The food was brought in drinks and drabs. Entrees arrived and sides were brought a half hour later. We were very disappointed

Great food however the service was poor. For the Four Seasons we expected to not have to request a passing by server to order another drink or ask what kind of wine was being poured into our glasses when they were out of the red we’d ordered. The understaffed service resulted in our bill being inflated by $75 US which we flagged to the server and it was corrected in the end.

We used to go here frequently when we lived on Hawaii and we loved it. This was our first time back in several years and it was a big disappointment. The setting is wonderful (of course, this is Hawaii). The salad had some items on it that were not listed on the menu - things I don't eat. My Husbands steak was very overdone; likely the servers fault since she didn't seem to listen or understand what medium meant. My vegetarian dish was not edible. The tempeh was dried out with a sticky sweet glaze and the vegetables were cold and undercooked. The worst thing however, was the service. It was too slow - not leisurely, slowww. The server was terrible. This was supposed to be a special "homecoming" dinner. Very disappointing. Not up to Four Season standards

Premium wine by the glass was served at room temperature which at the time was around 80 degrees F. When it comes to wine My wife and I admit to being snobs but we expected better from a premium dining establishment like the Hualalai Grille at the Four Seasons. It’s all about the attention to detail. They did rectify it right away after we commented. The tuna tartar appetizer was excellent renewing our hope in the restaurant only to be followed by severely overcooked fish in the main course. Very disappointing. On a positive note, the staff was excellent. Our main server, Mariana was extremely courteous and attentive.

The service and food were very good. When it was time to pay the bill the restaurant was having a problem with their credit card statement. Rather than solve the problem I had to pay cash that I was not planning on spending. I also had the feeling they thought it was my problem. I checked with both credit card companies and they had not received any payment requests from the restaurant. We did not feel well treated when we left.

My husband and I dined here on our honeymoon and had such a great experience - between the food and the service we cannot wait to return! Every course was delicious, and our waiter, Oli, was so attentive and provided outstanding service throughout the night.

Stay clear of the kale ceasar salad. Bernaise not the right color. Our server was slow to bring the check and my 25 dollar glass of wine was average. You can’t see the ocean from this restaurant. Steak and mashed potatoes were delicious 😋.

The hamburger that I had the next day at Ultimate Burger was more flavorful than the filet migon I had at this restaurant. I will not recommend this location to anyone. It wasn’t worth putting my makeup on.

Having just gotten married, we spent the evening at the Grill and MaLaina was our server
who made us feel SO special. She was amazing! And the food and ambience was perfect! I
would definitely recommend this fine restaurant to anyone. It was a 10 for sure. Aloha we are on our way tomorrow
for Idaho.

Not a whole lot to tell, it was my wife’s birthday dinner and we were on our last night on the island before heading home. The location is nice and very peaceful. Service was attentive and very good.

We had the spicy fried rice, which was my fav part of the meal, I ordered the 12 oz strip and Wife got the 7 oz filet. For additional sides I got the potatoes Aj gratin and she got the Hilo smoked corn.

The potatoes were good, corn was ok Idk what the smoke flavor was supposed to indicate but I didn’t taste it. The spicy lobster fried rice was great and had decent chunks of lobster in it, which was a pleasant surprise.

As far as the steaks ours came our wrong. Mine was well done and I asked for medium, hers was medium well. They got us two new ones very quickly and mine was much closer to medium. Wife’s steak was pretty much purple on the inside but she decided to eat it bc we were starving.

The manager apologized and took the sides off the bill which was nice. Overall I would not go back, for $200 I’d hoped for a better experience overall.

Always a great experience...we enjoy this restaurant when we come to Kohala Coast. Service was very friendly and responsive. We recommend everything!

The food is quite good. A number of the appetizers were unique as were the house specialty drinks. Two in our group had filet mignon and the other two had lamb and both were very tasty. We also enjoyed the side of au gratin potatoes, corn, Brussels sprouts & spicy fried rice with lobster. We also tried two of the desserts and shared amongst the four of us - mac nut ice cream pie & bananas foster and enjoyed them both.

The servers were pleasant though the food did take quite a while to arrive and the entire meal was well over 2 hours - hard to know if that was them or the kitchen.

Prices are high - we knew in advance but even so it adds up quickly. We had a $100 pp gift cert and with one drink each (no wine) and splitting deserts, we still ended up going over by $35 pp. Overall we enjoyed our dinner a lot but would limit going back to very special occasions because of the prices.
