It was pretty good. We never had a waiter. They made an extra effort to fit us in but we did not know who to tip because multiple people served us.
Worst dinner experience I’ve ever had. 1 hour elapsed and we never received our food. Waiter asked us what our order was THREE TIMES! Had our 2 drinks and app comped and we went next door to Gloria’s and had a wonderful meal. I will never return there again. Period.
It was clear to us that this restaurant was poorly managed from the moment we walked in. Our reservation was at 8:15 and we didn’t sit down until 8:50 after we spoke to the manager twice. Once we finally were seated we didn’t get water or our drinks until 30 min after when we spoke to the GM. Our entire section had major issues and were loudly complaining to management. Two tables ended up walking out because their food took so long bc the waiter forgot to put their order in annnd they spoke to management three times. The GM ended up serving us our food but customer service still was lacking and our concerns weren’t acknowledged. I always try to give grace to ppl in the restaurant field bc it truly is a hard job but this restaurant has terrible communication and poor management. needless to say I would never return or recommend anyone to eat here.
The food is just okay. Ordered soft shell crab (okay), mixed vegetables (okay), sea bass (pretty good) and hot and sour soup (not good at all).
They were very slow that night, but the food was outstanding and the service good.
When we walked in, the lights were dim, and they weren't busy at all for a Wednesday night. We sat in a corner and had a refreshing waitress that mentioned happy hour without us asking. The night was so low key, and the food was absolutely amazing. Make sure you valet park, because with dinner it is only $2 and it is so worth it. A place to visit if you want to sit and have a conversation, enjoy the night, and be with someone special.
Overall good, but I think there are better Chinese food choices in Dallas for a lower price. The staff were all very attentive and nice. The calamari was excellent as was the fried rice. The duck and spicy crispy beef were underwhelming but not terrible.
New Years Eve dinner. Good food but service was poor. Have been eating here off and on for several years. Always good quality food and first time for poor service. I’m assuming not prepared for high volume of customers. I will give them one more chance.
Food was not great .. egg foo young was extremely salty.. could not eat !!
Maybe it's because I've eaten Chinese food in the Chinatowns in NYC, LA, and San Fran, but this was THE WORST Chinese food I've ever eaten. Flavorless, not hot in temp, small overpriced portions. I am appalled that this got good reviews online. It was a real rip off.
I don't particularly like Chinese usually, but everything was really great.
The food is always outstanding here and so is the service.
We have 1 complaint.....we need a HW's closer to us in Plano!!!! Ha!!!!! We love this restaurant so much. Everything is amazing...the food, the service, the yumminess!!!!!
Dinner on the way to theater. Service was exceptional, food different and delicious, even good desserts. We will go back
Food was disappointing. Sauces were very sweet. Filling for open faced dumplings unappetizing -
Our Party of 18 turned into 25 , they were quick to accommodate us , The Manager spoke spanish and helped translate the menu to majority of guests, She recommend us of many dishes to share. The waitress was a sweetheart!! Sunday night and it was busy all around , it was a wonderful experience.
We had cake and she did a great job cutting our cake into 25 pieces. We will definitely be back.
Overall everything was great - especially due to our waiter; he made it a great night - very personable and caring and attentive. The crab appetizer was the only item - we didn't like it very much as it was not stuffed with much and so it was like a fried wonton...but the waiter kindly took it back and didn't charge me. Otherwise food is high quality - I had the eggplant dish and it was fabulous. I would recommend for dinner and celebration purposes. It was my friend's birthday and they gave her a complimentary mango dessert!
Delicious food, great service
Good food with wide variety of choices. Happy hour drink specials are good. Dinner portion size gives you enough for a second meal at home!
Always great food and service!
They didn’t do anything special for my birthday. 😞
We had a great Father’s day Brunch very accommodating!
Father’s Day / Anniversary
We really enjoyed how energetic and bubbly our server was. The food was yummy and the pear cocktail she recommended without the ice was delightful!! We’ll be back! Thank you!
With all of the great restaurants in and around uptown, I don't know how this one stays in business. The shrimp lettuce wraps were bland. The vanilla shrimp was flavorless and so over-battered that the shrimp looked like hushpuppies. The drinks were yummy and the service very attentive. The restaurant could use some cleaning.
Fantastic food, great service. A beautiful and extremely clean restaurant.
Manager was extremely rude to us. I do not recommend dining at Howard Wangs.
Great food and service. Pricing is reasonable for the quality delivered.
Always quality service with Dallas’ best Asian cooking. Great experience!
Group meal for a competition
Very enjoyable...service was great and the food was yummy!
Uninspired traditional American style Chinese food. Not authentic Chinese food. Flavors were boring. We ordered two different dishes which should have tasted different but the both had gobs of the same sauce and they tasted the same. Boring. Blah. Yuk. Won’t go back.
Service was prompt and attentive. Drinks came quickly. Shrimp toast was dry, seemed over-cooked. Entrees were generous and very good.
Great first impression. Definitely will come back to try more food selections.
Good food, slow service for the fact that there were only three parties dining other than us. Friendly and accommodating otherwise.
Service was very slow. Dim Sum was good but everything else was average. Restaurant didn’t seem inviting because it seemed a little run down.
Food and service were good. Nothing was great. Nothing was bad. But it was good and worth a try if you’re in the neighborhood.
The food was so absolutely great, the seating was perfect. Our server was a little too busy at first but she turned it around and was a great waitress to us.
Sunday ! Busiest I have seen . The staff is hands on , always alert of all tables and very friendly . Food was amazing !
