Friendly staff. Manager checked in on our dining experience. Awesome chow fun!
One of my better dining experiences. However, the egg rolls were lacking chicken and the japanese whisky I ordered was overpriced (12/shot when it's a $40 bottle). Other than some slight annoyances with the children that were sat w/ their family past 8pm on Friday night, the food and service were well above average. I'll be back.
First time. We were impressed with ambiance, food and modest price. Would highly recommend it.
Food was great...really fresh. Probably the best Chinese I've had around here. Service is friendly but a bit slow, so don't be in a hurry. I had the MuShu Pork and give it 5 stars. My husband chose Spicy Crispy Pork, also delicious. Our friends raved about their dishes as well. Really good menu choices for all tastes...Sichuan, Hunan, Mandarin. Good wine list. Nice atmosphere. We'll definitely go back
The thing we liked least was how dirty the floor was. The food was nothing special. Just an ok restaurant.
We’ve dined there many times and The food is always prepared as ordered and succulent. Service reaches from good to outstanding depending on who you get as a waiter. Overall the food, ambiance and friendliness of the staff makes this restaurant a great value for the experience. Highly recommend it.
We came early even though our reservation was at 7:45. They were able to seat us in 30 minutes outside on the patio. Everyone from the ladies in the front to the manager, to our waiter, our experience was great.
Quite disappointing Mother's Day lunch. We were greeted and seated in a somewhat less than enthusiastic and warm manner, despite there being only one other waiting party in the lobby. As we were being seated, we noticed many empty tables in the main dining area (including at least two booths). When we expressed our preference for a booth, we were offered the option of a booth in the bar.
The one positive aspect of experience was our server, who was actually the bartender. Her warmth, attentiveness and responsiveness was a breath of fresh air.
Our excitement for the food was stoked after tasting the appetizers. However, the rest of our meal proved to be a let down, ESPECIALLY in light of the price.
Needless to say, we will not be returning.
It is a beautiful restaurant with great food that is priced well. They were a little short staffed the day we were there, but the staff pulled together to make it work.
The food is delicious. Service was kind of slow. We were there at lunch. There weren't many people, so the slowness of food coming out was a puzzle. But once we got it, it was great!
Enjoyed the food and service. Visited twice in one week.
The food always superb here. Never hard to get a table even at weekends. Better than PF Chang’s and I think slightly less expensive. Also less noisy. Never had a bad meal here...and the Chilean Sea Bass is a deal!
Always a home run! Consistently really good quality food and great service.
Service was excellent and food was top notch.
Great food, but guests who are eating dinner and paying a lot of money should be granted the privilege of ordering discounted items from the bar. ;-(
Overall a good experience. Will return next time I have business in Southlake.
Excellent food and service
Nice service and food
Friendly, comfortable atmosphere paired with great tasty dishes. Serving portions are generous. Bar area is engaging.
We love Howard Wangs. Such amazing food, drinks...one of our favorites!
Lighting was too dark for eating dinner.
1/2 Fried Duck was more bone and fat than anything else and hard to see what you were eating.
this was for our 59th anniversary. food was quite good but service was the worst we have ever seen.
We always enjoy. The only thing this day that wasn’t nice was the table cloth was not changed and had crumbs and coloring on it.
This was our first visit to this establishment. We found the food, service and ambience to be outstanding. The Wednesday night wine 50% off is exceptional. Will be returning soon.
Our server was a little slow initially, but ended up doing much better toward the end of our meal. The food was very average Chinese food.
The food exceeded expectations but it was New Years Day and they may have been short staffed because the execution was not on point. Soup arrived very late for example. In any event, we were very pleased.
Food was good. We were seated right away. Service was okay - nothing spectacular but no complaints.
As always a great dining experience Service and food is as good as it gets in the area
The egg roll was very traditional made with chicken. The duck sauce and noodles are very good. The wonton soup is something we will pick up to go when we need comfort soup. I mistakenly ordered a dish that had fried chicken. I wasn’t a fan but it was good. The happy family was very good. We look forward to going again and trying something different.
Great food and service as always!
Not what it used to be. Dirty table, weird harsh lighting above our table, and sadly mediocre food. Not worth the drive. So many better choices.
We were a party of 8 with 2 bring small children. The service was excellent and the staff was attentive without being too much. The facilities were very nicely done with a modern flair but comfortable. We ordered the bulgogi, Peking duck, pad thai, and chicken lo mein. The bulgogi is a smaller portion, despite being a dinner portion with half the plate being vegetables. The Peking duck is dry and not cut by an experienced duck slicer. It was not good. The pad Thai and lo mein were good and my children enjoyed it. Overall, the restaurant is a good place to go to, but stick to known recipes and don't order the duck.
Food was ok and service was ok.
Food was great. Service was poor. The food took forever. Then, one meal (of 8) was served 15 mins before the rest. Irritating. Had to remind waitress several times for refills. Served appetizers with no plates and dessert with no utensils. Had to ask - and wait for both. Brought us check with no pen. Had to ask - and wait for that too.
Service was outstanding. Food was served hot and as expected. Everything tasted very good. Waiter was courteous and made no mistakes on the order. Checked back often to see if we wanted anything else. Ambiance and lighting was very relaxing. Overall a very nice restaurant with great food. I’d call it a price performer as well. We’ll be back.
I thought the food was pretty decent here. Nice variety . Some things were better than others but mostly a matter of what people prefer really. I liked their general tsos chicken but others were disappointed by it. I liked their Peking duck too
It's a hip vibe, but the food isn't outstanding and the service was very slow for a work lunch
We had awesome food. Best wonton soup and hot and sour soup we ever had. Really enjoyed the beef tenderloin, moo goo Gia pan, and orange chicken. We will definitely be back. Sarah was a really good waitress!!!
Food is decent, but if you're looking for is real Chinese then this might not be the place. This is more like PF Changs, i.e. very mild and Americanized. Not bad, though. Service is so-so.
