Excellent lunch experience enhanced by the high quality and freshness of ingredients sourced from local farmers.
Recommendation by our waitress, (she is from Dallas. Sorry, forgot her name.)
was spot on for dessert.
We arrived with ample time, our Reservation was 40 min late. Placing table cards for reserved parties would alleviate this. Hostess didn’t take time to read reservation thoroughly and almost sat us in an unrequested table. Wife’s food was well and my food was dry / lacked salt as well. I honestly only ate because I was hungry at that point. Manager was very thoughtful of the situation and our server was attentive / courteous. Overall disappointing considering we come here often.
Have been here many times and always a great experience!
Service is consistently great with great attention to detail. The quality of the food remains first rate.
Great food. Great selection of wines.
Amazing. Food was unbelievable.
Waiter Alfonso was very informative and attentive.
Thank you for a great evening.
Wonderful atmosphere. The staff was very helpful, the manager is outstanding and the food is delicious. Absolutely worth it
Delicious food and great wine! Love the environment.
I love HW yet this time it was very empty. I was surprised. I hope they don’t have to shut down.
Very limited brunch menu. Was looking forward to more brunch options. Ended up ordering from regular menu.
Our waitress Karrie completely made the evening for us. Her bubbly personality, menu knowledge, and hard-working ethics will have us going back! A great experience! Thank u Karrie!
The food was very good. My server, Kayla, was exceptional. I’ll ask for her next time.
Excellent in every way and I plan to go as often as time allows!
Great food and great service. Our waiter gave us great recommendations we enjoyed.
We have been dining here for occasions and business since it opened it has progressively slid down in food quality, service and ambiance...this place has the capacity to be a constant top performer but based our experience the fact that after our entree was served and we finished our meal no one from the staff came by to check on us but was finally prompt to bring the ticket? Really??? Second time this happened...short of the owner calling me directly I will never dine here again and will not recommend it...sad as this place seemed to “get it” but the staff is complacent....I was so disappointed I did not leave a tip and I normally leave a 50%tip at higher end establishments
I love the atmosphere,i love the service.
I really enjoy how I can make reservation from website without any hassle. My husband and I have been having our usual dates here.
Cute local spot in an unassuming area. A find for sure
We had an amazing experience. The food was delicious and our server took her time to describe each dish. It was a great experience!
Had a wonderful dinner. Excellent service. Great wine selection. Of particular note, the pork burger was wonderful. Would also highly recommend the Brie appetizer.
Food is always delicious. Service was on point. Great place for a nice dinner with an upscale urban feel.
House Wine is our favorite restaurant. Their menu, prices and service are ALL great and we are very picky diners!
We were celebrating my mother in law birthday
Great service beautiful place, outstanding and delicious food.
house. wine. & bistro. was absolutely delicious. My husband and I choose this place when we want to have a special dinner or evening out.
Great service by Richard, Chal, and Nikhil. Elsa and Victoria were attentive as well. I loved the Sargria a la Rosy and thoroughly enjoyed the McAllen Burger. My mom really like the Strawberry Bellini and her steak. My brother and father liked the butternut squash risotto. Also the appetizer of the Pomme frites and Panela were awesome. The hostess also helped us by taking our photo. Overall a great night.
I wouldn't travel 2,000 miles to come here, but If I did (and I did) I'd come here. The Quack and Cheese, a pasta dish with duck, was the best I've ever had.
I have the great pleasure of rating my last two visits to House. Wine. & Bistro as 5-star experiences. During my first visit, Chef Tony Lopez was very open-minded and accommodating of my dietary requests. That evening, I was accompanied by Dr. Caldwell B. Esselstyn Jr. from the Forks Over Knives Documentary and Dr. James Gavin who is one of the nations leading diabetes researchers. Chef Tony designed a three-course, whole food plant-based dinner for us without using any cooking oils! It was absolutely amazing. Both of my guests were very impressed and gave Chef Tony high praise for his work that evening. The service staff and house manager were very attentive and made sure my guests felt right at home.
This past weekend, our friends threw us a surprise wedding dinner at House. Wine. & Bistro. True to form, Chef Tony was accommodating as ever and prepared a beautiful arrangement of plant-based whole food dishes at the request of several attendees. We can't thank him enough for his dedication to his craft. As always, the house staff were kind, attentive, engaging, and ready to provide our (very large) group with excellent service.
The food is well prepared, quality steaks and chef. Pleanty of wine to choose from.
Amazing as always. We missed Laurie and our “box car special”.
Hopefully next time.
The food and service were some of the best I’ve had in the valley. I found the restaurant through google maps and browsed their menu, but the pictures online don’t do the flavors justice. The ambience was classy and relaxed. Every interaction with the personnel was pleasant. Plus all of the beverage and food suggestions were spot on.
The food was very good and the waitress was excellent
We had a great evening. Food and service was good
Everyone's food was GREAT... except for mine. I ordered a steak well done and even the was still blood on my plate I asked for it to be cooked a bit more. It came back charred.
This was our third Valentine’s Day dinner at house wine. The only thing that was disappointing was our table, they sat us down next to the kitchen. The service I have to say was excellent and the food was great. We tried two different dishes that we had never tried before and both were great. We had sangria as our drink, it was fair I have had better sangria at other local restaurants. We kinda expected the noise level to be high due to it being Valentine’s Day so that wasn’t disappointing. I think overall we had a good experience. I will probably not go back next year for Valentine’s and try something different.
Great food however those with dietary restrictions such as vegetarians might find menu options limited
Excellent service and selection of wine! The desserts are wonderful as well.
We were so impressed!
Our waiter was was amazing.
Laurie, thank you for the info!
We will be back!
I am so pleased that you enjoyed your dining experience here! I will look forward to seeing you all again very soon! (Did I happen to mention that I am here this evening if you feel compelled to indulge again and visit?) Kind Regards, -Laurie
Wish the menu had more entree selections.
This was our first time here. The service was great. I felt like we were being catered to. The food was tasty, wine selection wide. The only negative point i can make is that it was extremely loud. I expected something a little less "bar" noise level. Overall experience was very good. I would go again, maybe not a Friday night though.
