Always love coming here. Staff is always so accommodating and knowledgeable of their menu/wine. They take their pandemic precautions seriously and that is greatly appreciated.

The service was impeccable. The food was superb. Cal, the manager stopped by to check on us and we ended up having a nice convo with him. Rob was our waiter and was super attentive. The shrimp on focaccia was outstanding. The escargot was simply wonderful. I’ve never had it in that preparation and it was delish. The creme brûlée and blackberry cheesecake was to die for!

Next time I’m in McAllen I will be dining here again. We had a wonderful date night. Thank you for making it a beautiful experience.

exceeded expectations on every level .. food was delicious.. the garlic lime shrimp appetizer is so incredibly delicious and i highly recommend it. The service was point on and the ambiance relaxing and peaceful.. we were given a complementary dessert for our anniversary and that was a nice touch.

I thought the service was what stood out. Management made sure our experience was up to par. The server was on top of their game, never was a wine glass empty. Food was phenomenal and the wine menu was great. I wish liquor was an option but beggars can’t always be choosers. 10/10 would revisit

This was our first time back at House Wine since the pandemic started and it was good to be back. The food and wine were excellent, as always, and the service was top-notch. One minor nitpick - I had the walu, which was the catch of the day. The overall dish was very rich and flavorful. The fish itself was not something I would eat again. A different white fish would pair better with that dish, in my opinion.

Everything was great. Rob was a heckuva waiter even though we didn’t get our mushrooms because he said he didn’t hear us order that. But the Butternut squash risotto was amazing and the crime brûlée just made the entire dinner complete.

We often visit this restaurant. It was another evening of great, attentive service and quiet ambiance. The wine selection and presentation is unique and up to par. We ask for a reservation time and they restaurant is able to accommodate us as needed. Will continue to go to this restaurant for any occasion.

From the minute we arrived until the minute we left the service was great. The hostess recommended a great starter and it was delicious. The entree lamb chops were to die for. Our sever was nice and attentive. I’m definitely going to this restaurant again and highly recommended it to everyone.

Great and calm atmosphere for a late night date or family gathering. Food was very delicious and the wine was exquisite. Would definitely come back again!

First time House Wine Bistro has disappointed. Chicken on dish was chewy like it had been cooked partially in microwave. Sauce on pasta was way too much. Normally an awesome place, but they were off their game last night.

Good food, the GM was very rude and made us feel uncomfortable for an error on their part (sitting us at the wrong table!)

I love the wide variety of wines available socially the villa M which is one of my go tos. The garlic shrimp appetizer and homemade pasta is incomparable to anything else in the valley making it the perfect meal no matter the occasion. The staff is extremely attentive, helpful and friend particularly, Nick and Cal who always make sure everything is running smoothly. House wine is definitely a favorite in every aspect!
