smoked 4 hours
The food was kind of cold by the time we got there. The recommended pulled pork sandwich was very flat didn’t have much on it and didn’t have much flavor.
Excellent food and service! They have done a wonderful job in setting up safe and social distanced tables to make the dining experience enjoyable!
Staff was very attentive. Beer towers and their amazing 48 hours marinated chicken wings are what I take my friends here for. Outdoor seating is lit right by the waterfront. Amazing views of NYC. Prices are on the mid side. Two beer towers, 4 orders of wings and 2 orders of fries run you up for ~$200+tip for 6 people, YES!
This place gets packed very quickly so reservation is recommended if you have a large group. Try their beer towers nice to show them off on your table.
We got a nice seat with a great view. Our appetizers came very quick and once we finished the appetizers our food came out. Perfect timing. All of the food was delicious. Our server provided excellent service as well.
The outdoor dining area is pinick tables its not the sexiest or most romantic. Food isn’t bad but nothing to brag about. Staff moved quickly tho
Food was horrible. My chicken was so dry it tasted liked wood.
The food was great. Was a little hesitant given the other reviews, but we all really enjoyed what we ordered. I'm only giving this 4 stars because we did feel rushed. There was an hour and a half time limit which I understand needs to be enforced during this time, however we felt like we were rushed out of there. I understand rushing people along if they are just hanging out, but we had just finished eating and not even ordered dessert or asked if we wanted dessert when the server finally came over and told us we had 10 minutes left. With that being said, they did allow us to stay longer when we ordered dessert.
We went here to try something different. BBQ is never at the top of my list. COVID restrictions had us dining outside along the street. Very windy not good. Food was okay, service slow ad the beer warm. Not a great combination. I’m checking off the House of Que box as there is no reason to go back.
The food was just alright. The pork was super dry and hard to swallow so we had to ask for BBQ sauce. The fries and onion rings were great. The burger was overcooked, the chicken was alright.
Great service and beautiful view made for a nice night out
Fantastic service and pleasant experience overall.
The food wasn’t great, the deviled eggs were bland and baked potato was small with very little meat. The nacho are good, but they should have meat. The wings were the best thing on the menu. Also the chicken was unseasoned, and ribs weren’t great either. Which they put alittle more effort into the bbq.
The service was great! The outdoor tables were also spaced out.
One waitress for many tables, food is claimed as smoked but it is not because the wings were fried not smoked as well as brisket not smoked. Not sure why they would claim smoked and food is not quite up to par.
Great location. Drinks are good. Sausages were good. Brisket was a bit dry. Ribs were ok.
Server provided the worst service ever. It was my wife’s bday. I told the server we would be ordering desserts, she acknowledged, but brought the bill. She left us without refills for extended periods and the runners helped us more than the server. Additionally, the apps were great, but the brisket was over salted, not very tender, and more fat than not. Potato salad is dry. The food and service was not worth. We won’t return.
Came during COVID. Great food and drinks came by fast and worked out pretty well without a long wait.
great space with very friendly and fast service. I made reservations for 4 and needed to add 2 more a few hours before my reservation, they accommodated us without a problem.
Fathers Day lunch
Food wasn’t that hot but it was Delicious we had grilled chicken sandwich chicken tender fries basket and wings . Best fries I ever had !!
The management thought of everything here to account for social distancing and being sensitive to having less contact form patrons to employees. There’s a sticker on every table anyone can scan with their smartphone that will bring up the menu on your phone. The food was yummy and the atmosphere is perfection (helloooo - you cant beat sitting on the Hoboken waterfront looking at NYC)
The atmosphere was amazing, the food was solid, and our waitress was so friendly. Ayallsa.
Decent food for a fair price.
House of Que was great! Their wings were a great appetizer and actually filled us up before entree. Their burgers are so good and fulfilling I actually couldn’t finish mine! Only issue with the restaurant is that it was kind of cold inside and on a night where it was like 20 degrees outside, that was a bit of a bummer. Other than that, great food and great atmosphere! I’ll definitely revisit during the summer time
Nearly empty on a Monday night.
Went to watch a giants-jets game
Food was awesome. Our server was excellent. I will definitely be back. I highly recommend House of Que.
The manager gave away our table.
Awesome chili and onion rings. Outdoor seating was very relaxing with a perfect view of the Hudson River and New York Skyline. The only negative I have is non-service dogs being allowed in the dining areas and their owners letting them wander to other tables.
I'm a Lyft driver & based on customer's reviews & my friends, I decided to come there with family. We enjoyed everything. Service was VERY good & attentive. Food was on point......not bad at all for a NJ bbq place!! I'll be back....💯
The reviews online for this restaurant appeared good however our experience was poor. The burgers we received were inedible
Bought a milkshake and it was also poor with cheep chocolate syrup
The service and food were mediocre at best. The place was pretty empty son a Sunday afternoon- and despite this it took forever to take our order and the order was wrong. The meat was chewy and the BBQ sauce tasted old and rancid. The only redeeming quality is the location right on the waterfront.
Good food could of came out a little hotter seems like it might of sat out and cooled down before it was served to us. Waitress was very good hooked us up with 2 sweet shots for our anniversary and our first time there. Would go back again
Overpriced fast food Lousy service. Never again
It has a simple decor/ menu selection is minimal. The service was excellent & food tasted great. I ordered corn bread was no good at all. The prices are reasonable was a little disappointed that they didn’t offer the restaurant week offer for dinner.
Excellent Smokey bbq, very good value and cannot beat the views from Hoboken.
I felt like I was back home in Texas. Food was very flavorful and delicious!
Our dinner was perfect!
Great afternoon with family at HOQ. Good food, and great service. Only complaint was that the AC could have been better.
Our service was great and food was amazing!
