It's perfect to meet friends, have a drink and have fun. But the food was not as good as expected.
Excellent location and great food.
It's a great location. Service was good. The barbecue was just "ok".
Nice work with weekend brunch :) and the outdoor picnic tables make for the most four-legged-furry-friend friendly restaurant I've ever been to.
Food was great. Server was unattentive after taking and delivering the order.
Fun and energetic vibe, Saturday lunch with live music. Food was decent bbq. Overall good time!
Decent food but could work to get some new ideas on the menu. Also how about some healthy options
My first time at a bbq restaurant, everything about it was great!
I arrived and they told me they weren’t honoring open table. This started the night off great....
I made a reservation for 8 pm and when I got there it was closed. I tried calling three times and no one answered which then prevented me from making another reservation at a different restaurant. Very upsetting as this was my birthday dinner. There was nothing on the website about the restaurant being closed. If they are going to be closed they should not allow people to make a reservation.
Amazing experience. Food was amazing. Great place for Texas style Bbq and the dueling pianos night was an awesome surprise.
Really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere, but the music was just a bit too loud for an 8 pm seating. If you enjoy tour BBQ with dueling piano's, this is the place.
Came in an hour before dueling pianos. Had a good meal of pulled pork, frito pie, and beer, then stuck around a bit for the show. They are so good and so much fun! Quite noisy, not a good place to have a conversation but a lot of fun.
Never sat down. Wanted to sit us 2 ft from hostess with an open door I said it was too cold there and place was empty! Couldn’t give me another table so we walked out!
Made a reservation for 8 for lunch. No one told us it was Family Fun time. 8 adults seated in middle of kiddie birthday party. Super loud. Almost lost it when Elmo made an appearance. There was no where else to seat us when we asked to move out of kiddieland. Food just OK, but server was very nice and responsive and apologetic for kid birthday chaos. Would not go back.
Another excellent meal. Their brisket is exceptional.
The peach cobbler was very nice too.
Que was just...OK. I've had much better barbeque (heck, I've MADE much better barbeque), but it was fine for what it was. Happy-hour drinks were cheap and cold if a bit weak. Sitting outside with a view of the water made it worth the trip, but I wouldn't make a special effort to go back.
Dueling pianos, great food, great service, wonderful time!!
For the first time in my dozen visits, the ribs were overdone. Crispy and dry.
The pulled pork was outstanding, and the brisket was cooked perfectly.
I'll be back for sure.
Food and service are good but the view is really great and just a beautiful street to sit on and people watch!
Waitress a little slow but bbq is awesome
Fun and delicious!
The trainee couldn’t remember a lot of our requests so had to repeat the request or remind him of the previous requests.
Authentic Texas BBQ in Hoboken! Real low and slow BBQ. Ribs, brisket, Chicken. sausage, pulled pork, burgers, salads and sandwiches. Great sides, drinks, appetizers and desserts. Kids Menu, Dueling Pianos and friendly service.
Went on July 4th. Service was horrible. We were seated for three hours and got our food after 2.5 hours. Brisket was stringy and dry. It was a fun environment but maybe just for drinks.
I was really excited to try this place and was really underwhelmed. Maybe it was just the food we got. We got brisket and smoked chicken as mains. The brisket was nothing special but the chicken was delicious. It just shouldn't be the star of a bbq place. For sides, we got cole slaw, potato salad and curly fries and they weren't good without the exception of curly fries which are difficult to ruin. They also had this awful live act happening. I love live music but this band was awful. If you want to check it out, make sure Dueling Pianos isn't playing unless you want seagulls shrieking while you eat.
Great food, value and service. Definitely will revisit.
We live in same building as House of Que and have been there many times. Consistently very good food. Good change of menu to include more items such as the nachos and the chicken fingers. The live entertainment is great. Of special note - Jessica Rose was fantastic - very talented, great personality - performed variety of songs and was really entertaining! We all loved her - and the food was fun too. The waitress was a bit frazzled - seems like it was very crowded and she did her best but why have guys standing around just clearing tables when they could take drink orders to help out? Only other suggestion we have is to get some decent wine glasses. Drinking wine from a plastic cup or a mason jar is just gross.
Good food and good entertainment
The lunch platter offers a trio of meets with 2 sides. Tasty, filling and reasonably priced.
Hometown, country, & rustic BBQ joint. There is a variety of seating booths, bench with picnic and high tables.
We had -beef brisket which was tender, moist & delicious
- BBQ wings sweet and surprising spicy sauce - Hamburger, we requested medium well. However is was dry cooked to a crisp
Extremely disappointing. We were greeted with an attitude. We were unnecessarily lied to about a table we requested to sit at. The manager Dino and hostess Estefania stated a customer specifically reserved a window seat we requested. Turns out that was a lie, as I asked the customer. He then backpedaled and stated “customers that make reservations 2 weeks in advance gets preferential seating; we made our reservations ~2 hours before arriving. When I asked him why he lied to us. He stated he does not want to be interrogated. We were given 50% off our bill. However my mother’s day was already ruined. Discounts don’t make up for poor service.
Great food, very tasty but a little pricy on the cocktails
PROs: Great food with big servings. I love the cornbread and the slaw. Very laidback atmosphere.
CON: little bit slow on the service. Our server took our orders, served it and we never saw her again until we had to go up to the counter to ask for our check (that is, after flagging her for several times).
Our waitress was very friendly and so was the rest of the staff with the exception of the hostess. The hostess was not only unfriendly, she also did not acknowledge my reservation in the system. While still at dinner I received an email from OpenTable inquiring about my no show. I spoke with the Manager who was very apologetic and he rectified the mistake but it will be a while before I would go back to House of Que given the hostess incompetence and demeanor.
We had some friends visiting from Texas and took them out for bbq. Everyone loved it!
Presidents Day. Had a Rez— didn’t need it; only 10% occupied. Pickles were good. Chicken was dry. Ribs n brisket were fair. Waited a long time for the bartender to pour a beer because he was busy—-I did say it was empty, right? The chipotle bbq sauce was good but they ration it, then upcharge it on the check.
My first time in Hoboken & at the ‘Cue. The food was outstanding. I’m still dreaming about the ribs. Can’t wait until my next visit.
If you are looking for a sports bar with smokey BBQ this is the place. Great location with roll up garage doors for warmer weather which overlook NYC skyline and Hudson River. Food it good, atmosphere is casual bbq-bar.
We really enjoyed House of Que. The BBQ was very good considering it's in NJ. The brisket was fantastic. Ribs were Good.
Frozen Mango Margaritas Bonus was they were 1/2 priced on Thursdays
Brisket was mouth watering and delicious
Corn pudding...better than mine!
Waiter was great. Absolutely no complaints. Answered our numerous questions.
I've heard the dueling pianos is phenomenal.
Dueling pianos were the highlight after the brisket and corn pudding of course.
