A light dish of garden spinach whipped with fresh cream and pieces of bacon.
Excellent food, outstanding service. Still the best creamed spinach I’ve ever had. Thanks again!
Wonderful service, great food. Would go again and again.
From beginning to end, the service was wonderful. Had to change my reservation but they fixed it with no problem. Everyone was very helpful and attentive throughout the meal and took the time to explain everything to my date who was a first timer. Delicious food and great value for what you actually get. We were in a room with two big tables celebrating birthdays so it got loud but was still fine. Would definitely continue going and supporting this awesome place.
Classic S.F. restaurant doesn’t disappoint. Large portions. Professional servers. Wonderful prime rib.
Food is excellent as always!
Food was good.
Prime rib was jus ok.
Not as good as past years.
WAY SMALLER PORTIONS! Prime rib cuts were tiny! So disappointed. For $55+ the King Henry VIII cut was probably 10oz without bone. Everything else was great and the flavor way great but their portion sizes are embarrassing for the price.
The food is good but it feels like a production line and the presentation is not very appetizing. Service is good as well as value.
Love this place! The food is great and the servers are friendly and awesome! Will definitely be back! Thank you.
Excellent service, delicious food, noise level very very high.
Best prime rib! Meat so tender and sides equally delicious. Wait staff so friendly and didn’t miss a beat.
Our server was so friendly and polite ! He made my boyfriend’s birthday special. He even offered to take a photo for us. Loved the food too!
Food was fantastic. Server was on point, very fast and was engaging with us compared to the other times we ate here. Everything came out super quick and we finished in an hour! Highly recommend.
Prime was awesome. Our server Matt was amazing. All the food was piping hot and delicious. It’s a must when visiting San Francisco
I think HOPR has fallen in quality. The sides were incredibly salty. Unfortunately, they've also started trimming the slices (personally, if I go back I would ask them not to do this, fat is flavor!). The meat was not as tender or as rare as I've experienced in the past. However, the service is still excellent.
Not really following covid spacing and such--that is disappointing.
Very good food.
Excellent wine list.
Bar is slow.
Hostess is rude.
I haven't been to House of Prime Rib for many years, and it was as good as I remembered. Great food and service in an awesome environment. Timeless!
Best restaurant in SF based on quality of service and food, value, ambiance and overall experience.
Our waiter Blue was fantastic
Fab fab fabulous as always...great food great service great prime rib
Once again a fantastic dinner!
You can Never go wrong with a meal at the HOP! This is our family favorite! The service is amazing , the menu never changes for a reason!
Waiter Kris was amazing!! Food great as usual!
As always the House of Prime Rib is excellent! Great service and great food! Can't wait to go back again!!!
Birthday dinner it was great
DELICIOUS! We had an outstanding time at the House of Prime Rib. Had reservation in Feb but it was cancelled due to CV. We finally made it in July and it was worth the wait! Service was great from start to finish. Our waiter Matt was the best with a wonderful personality which made our dinner even more enjoyable. According to the men in our party, the House makes the best martinis! Sourdough bread was so good it was hard to stop at one slice, salad was delish, prime rib was melt in your mouth, Yorkshire pudding was so yummy, creamed spinach/corn was tasty, potatoes were fab and loaded up just right. And the desserts! Went with Matt’s recommendation and it was the perfect sweet topping to our fantastic dinner. Strawberry shortcake was to die for and it made you want to eat more and that tiramisu was so light and airy. Like tucking into a soft cloud. Matt didn’t rush us out so we had a nice leisurely dining experience. It was the first time for two of our guests and they were so impressed they started looking for a future reservation! Valet service guys were so sweet when we told them we wanted to take a walk to settle our full bellies that we went and got them fresh donuts from Bob’s to thank them for their kindness. Best night we’ve had in a VERY long time. A truly memorable evening.
We asked for medium well and received well done. Twice. That was a little frustrating
Amazing. Been wanting to try for years and it did not disappoint. Good ole service with feel of the golden era and amazing food and service. Will be back for sure. Left stuffed and had a great time with friends and took our time. Never felt rushed
Chris our server was awesome and his service was on point
1st time here food was great staff was great worth the money
Change of staff due to COVID had an impact on the service received. Server not up to caliber
Best place in the city to have prime rib. They do it right every time.
First time here. Waited 10 years to come. Had in the 8:00 reservation. My table ordered two of the prime house cuts and one San Francisco cut. The dishes came out wrong mixed up we got charged for three prime house cuts two of the cuts had bones in them and were overcooked and nothing but fat as the server stated when he dropped my plate in front of me oh you're so lucky to have a bone. In my opinion I think people should be asked if they want a bone in my experience with prime rib is no bone in the San Francisco cut was perfectly cooked so overall the spinach was pretty gross the pudding was more of a pancake than a traditional pudding and it tasted burnt and the salad was extremely overdressed the wine was good the ambulance was good the room was way too loud we couldn't even hear each other talk I left with a migraine and $200 less in my pocket I felt like my experience was definitely not memorable. I will not be returning.
Noisy dinning room, negligent service, but good roast beef.
Food was excellent but table was stuck against a wall and very noisy.
Been enjoying this restaurant since 1970 and have never been disappointed. Missed GUS, however COLLIN has just been a charm and was very pleasurable to meet. Although it is pleasurable to get specially dressed for this occasion, it was noticed that most of the other patrons do not have the same "attitude towards a special occasion". Getting to be too casual.
We had a 8:30pm reservation but arrived at 8:15pm.
Upon checking in, we were told our table would be ready at 8:30pm. We weren't seated until 9pm and after repeatedly asking how much longer.. When it was finally available, 6 of us were "sardine" into a booth. It was so tight half of my rear weren't on the bench during dining. NOT acceptable.
Other people arrived much later than we did, were seated before us, same number of people in the party...
However, the waiter and the rest of the serving staff were great! Our food were served very quickly since we were starving from waiting for so long....
The service was a bit slow but the food was excellent!
