Hit or miss and this visit was a miss. Service was not as good as usual. Steak was not as good as usual. For what is being charged, especially when you are in and out in an hour or so to get to the game, it should be better.

Spiros our server was excellent in guiding us through the menu and was attentive.

I would go back the only thing I was disappointed in was overall cost was expensive 50 bucks per person with tax and tip should not be that expensive to take a family of 5 out for fish and chips burgers and soup with soft drinks.

I was worried about service when everybody shows up at the same time and especially for Leafs Habs on a St.Patricks Day Saturday night. Thinking sort of a Hell’s Kitchen nightmare. However, the service was second to none and food fantastic. We had time to spare before the game started. Cant recommend Hot Stove enough.

Overall a bit disappointing. It’s been a few years since I’ve been. The service has fallen significantly. This used to be a very special night with exceptional service. We were pressured to order immediately. Our appetizers were prompt and delicious. But the steaks took 45 min and we almost missed the start of the game. The steaks were excellent and cooked perfectly but overpriced. We had a medium valued wine and the bill was well over $300 for two people. The place was packed and noisy, which I don’t mind, but I guess popularity leads to complacency. Our server seemed distracted and insincere and had no idea what was going on in the kitchen. It’s a fun experience eating so close to the action with the option of returning at intermission but I sincerely hope improvements are made. The Hot Stove used to be a memorable evening and a reprieve if the glorious Leafs didn’t happen to win

I've eaten here several times prior to the Raptors game and it has always been a great experience. This time around .... Not so much.

Rack of lamb was chewy, server didn't know his alcohol offerings, and service seemed to be spotty at best.

Really loud restaurant. We were yelling at each other by the end of the meal. 3 out of 4 meals were good. The fourth meal was just a tough steak especially for a AAA Striploin. All the meals were tasty.

Delicious food, great ambiance (nosy and busy but up-beat). My husband and I had dinner before a Leaf game and we split the 14oz rib eye. It's pricey but it's upscale so it's expected. The steak and sides (mashed potatoes and garlic brocollini) were very good. We would go back.

The restaurant was late in opening the doors, so we were not seated at our expected (reserved) time. Our actually server was just fine, although not outstanding.

The food was great - the bacon-wrapped filet was AMAZING and cooked perfectly, but it was quite expensive for the 2 of us.

As for the ambiance/atmosphere, it is a nice, cozy atmosphere, but the fact that we were seated with tables on each side of us within arm’s reach was awkward and uncomfortable. And it was difficult getting out of our seats without bumping the person at the next table.

This was my first visit to the Hot Stove Club. We made reservations for 5:15 pm — plenty of time before the 7 pm Leafs game. We waited almost two hours before we received our main courses and missed the first 2/3rds of the first period and the Leafs’ only goal of the night. I will never return.

First impression was very good, great atmosphere and obviously perfect location if you're catching an event at the Air Canada Center. However the food was underwhelming for the price. In particular the caesar salad and the crab poutine disappointed with their lack of creativity and portion size, for the price. The mains were pretty tasty though. Service was uneventful - took our order, brought our food, took our money. Glad I tried it, probably won't go back.

Calamari appetizer badly overcooked and/or reheated. Twice-baked potatoes were at least thrice-baked and embarrassingly mediocre for a restaurant of this calibre. Excessive mark-ups on wine list, together with lack of low and moderate cost options. In fairness, the steaks were good. Waiter pushed and pushed us to place our orders, since the kitchen gets overwhelmed on game nights. But isn't every night a game night? $400 for dinner for two including tip - nope, no next time for me.

The fact that you can return to your table between intermissions is priceless. The staff is very accommodating. While the price may seem high it is inside the ACC so that is to be expected. Very nice experience and we will certainly be back. Oh and when the GM of the Toronto Maple Leafs stops at your table and shakes your hand, well thats priceless.

I loved this place! I am a raptors season ticket holder and this is a great pre-game spot to enjoy good food before the game. Not the perfect spot for game viewing as there is no court view but there are televisions everywhere and good entertainment .. The decor is really cool and the food is delicious. I had the lobster pasta and to my delight it was al dente ... my mom had the trout and it was fantstic. I would most definitely visit again and am looking forward to my next visit

Overall great pregame dinner. Price is high, but as people report, to be expected. I give the food a 4 star as they missed the mark on the steak this time. They offered to re do it, but I just declined.

Only thing I can say is .... bring back the donuts !!!!

Service and staff were great! Quality of food was less than we expected given it boasts its meat locker and hand cut steaks the quality wasn't to par. It might have been a Hit and Miss but we had to send our meals back for not being cooked as requested. Would give it another try as it could have been an off night in the kitchen.

I was late by 45 minutes for my reservation (Toronto traffic getting ridiculous) and was greeted respectfully by front staff. Sat down right away, attended to quickly ordered food and received it all before puck drop which I thought was incredible...I will come back everytime I have an event at the ACC...

I used to go to the Hot Stove quite often, before most Leaf games that I attended. However, last year, I found it simply took too long-from the time we got to order, to when we got the food, to when I was able to pay and leave. So I switched to E11even (another great place).
Thought I would try the Hot Stove again for the Leafs home opener last week. Noticed a few changes to the menu as well as management of the restaurant.
Service was noticeably better from the moment we sat down. Food, as good as always, arrived much faster-just as it does as at E11even. Noise level is high but it's to be expected given the number of tables in that space.
Was impressed with the changes. Will be back in November.
