This was my birthday lunch hosted by my friend Nancy. Our waiter was Steven and he was fantastic. We started with appetizers and had lunch, then they brought out a complimentary creme brulee for my birthday. It was a great meal, great service, and the bar drinks were exceptionally good. Great place and I would heartily recommend it. Will definitely be back.
Thank you.
This place is all about the location. The food is fair but not great.
The service was very good. The waiter was very attentive.
We choose this harbor side restaurant for dinner near sunset. Our table was window side and overlooked the harbor. Our server was excellent and enthusiastic. The brie and fig jam recommended was a great combination to start the meal. We then chose the salmon - served over a potato cake, with carrots, artichoke, and other vegetables. It was not the standard fare salmon, and tasted excellent.
We then closed by sharing an excellent keylime pie. What a wonderful dinner.
(The outside of the building does need paint, but the inside really is a great place)
Always very consistent service and food. One of our favorites over the past many many years
I really don't understand what people see in this restaurant. It's always packed so there must be something about it. But I just don't get it. It's totally overpriced. Lunch is a better deal than dinner though. We only go there when we have gift cards or some special promotion. This particular visit our food was not hot just lukewarm and just ok.
Food was definitely not worth the price. Seafood Pasta was overcooked. Prime Rib looked reheated. Waited 15 minutes before we got attention, even water. AC was too cold and blows directly above tables ... probably made it worse because very few people in dining room to generate heat.
This was a yearly dinner that we have for my father in observance of my mother's death. We started this about 5 years ago, so this was the first time we came to the restaurant on a Sunday. We enjoyed our dining; however, we had to remind the waitress to bring us the lunch vs breakfast menus and one of our diners did not receive the chowder they ordered. Two of us ordered the maui maui and both were dry. This doesn't keep us from dining, but just wanted to provide the feedback. This is the first time we have had something for which to complain.
Food missed the mark for the most part. Oysters on the shell were good but full of shell debris. Poke salad was mediocre. The final price tag did not align with the overall quality of the prestation.
Crab sandwich was great as was the service.
food, ambiance and service was great, prices are a bit high.
Food Was great as always, server was a bit inattentive and they were out of my first 2 choices of Tequila, but my girls and I still had a good meal.
The restaurant was nice and we were sitting by the window overlooking the estuary. It was quite cold as they had the air conditioning on but other than that, it was very enjoyable. Their parking lot is kind of crazy so you need to be careful of the one way arrows.
All employees seemed happy and service was prompt and friendly. Nice view. Pleasant experience!!
A great location near Oakland airport. We picked up friends at the airport and came here for lunch.
As always, Horatios delivers a delightful experience, with a lovely view of the boat marina, with good food at a very reasonable price.
The food was extra delicious and the waitstaff was excellent. Can’t wait to return. My steelhead was cooked perfectly.
Fantastic choices; all items were very delicious! We didn’t spare a penny and each bite was worth each of the many pennies. Thank you for an excellent dining experience.
My wife, son and I came in for Easter Brunch, The Lobster Bisque and Clam Chowder were good, we ordered Sea Food Louie also very good but my son and I each ordered Oysters on the Half Shell, one order had 7 the other had 8 and were so small there wasn't much to enjoy. The cocktail sauce is the best, just nothing to eat it with, sorry I didn't send it back and order something else. I should have also asked what kind of oyster they were so I don't make this mistake in the future.
Host and Waitress were Amazing. Food Delicious. Very, Very enjoyable Day, Thank You Horatios!
Came here previously for dinner and it was excellent. Came here on Easter for late brunch and it was mediocre. 3 out of five had just OK meals. The other two were better so I guess it depends on what you order. Big breakfast and Crab Sandwich were winners. Fish and Chips as well as Prime Rib Hash were losers for us. Desserts were all excellent. If I come back it will probably be for dinner or regular lunch menu, not brunch menu.
Service was great. Overall, food was good except that the lettuce on my Seafood Louie was soggy and tasted vinegary. For the price I expected more. Everyone in our party loved their meals.
group of 6 for Easter/Birthday all food was good but one of the meals was returned twice steak was overcooked both time very disappointing, server was nice but overwhelmed we had to request for additional drinks she claimed that this was not her normal working day but this was suppose to be a special day for my mom's 83th birthday and it was not soo good.
We had Easter brunch at Horatio’s. The menu had a lot of options...mostly breakfast and seafood, and a couple of steak options. The service was great. The food here is always good. Great for family get togethers, and they were able to accommodate us on a short notice.
Excellent as always. I have always loved Horatios. The baked chicken Dijon is my go to dish.
As always their fish is amazing, fresh and cooked perfectly.
I've been going to Horatio's for the last 30 years. Great place with good food. Of course the Roast Beef is great and the Pea salad is the best. Great place to impress your date...Worked for me...I ended up marring the girl...
Chad was our server and he was eager to please. Food was brought with panache. Our meal was enjoyable with timing of food and service. Our friend's fingerling potatoes were burnt and I'm surprised the kitchen let them be served like that. We were having too much fun to stop to complain about the meal.
The food and service was exceptional and it is certainly the reason we keep coming back. We have been going to Horatio’s for years. However, the decor is good but the furniture, linens, silverware, etc. have been around the block too many times and need updating. It also was a little dirty and there was a musty smell.
Enjoyed my birthday dinner. Waitress was really good and my food was cooked really well and delicious.
We celebrated my birthday with family. The food was very delicious and decorated the plate beautifully too. The service we received from our waiter, Chad was outstanding. He was very pleasant and on top of it all. It certainly is a place to be for special occasion when One wants good food and great service.
Although a bit disappointed we did not get the requested window seat, our waiter was hysterical and just lovely! We took his suggestions and he was spot on! Much better service than Kinkaids and friendlier staff. I love Horatios!
Managers, Christina and David, were very accommodating to me and my friend, who was celebrating her B.Day! And, our server, LeeAnn was delightful and very accommodating, as usual! The drinks and the bartenders, Brianna and Kristin, were also great, as usual!! However, a new dish - Halibut and risotto, although tasty was very salty - I kept mine but my friend opted to replace hers with the salmon, which was expertly prepared. We were offered free after dinner drinks to make up for the less than normally perfect meals. We went into the bar and had perfectly prepared chocolate martinis - YUM - thank you, Kristin!! The wait staff, bartenders and management at Horatio's are ALWAYS wonderful and treat you like family - I love it there!!
Nice location and good service. Food had nice flavors and pleasant presentation.
Great service and view for our mom’s 94th birthday!
Horatio's is always a great experience. I really appreciate the fact that I can count on that, it's also my mother's favorite!
Everything was good; however, the server did not pay attention to the payments and charged my credit card for the entire amount and kept cash paid as the tip...which was not the case...
Everything was excellent!!
I made reservations so we got a window seat! Service was very good and the food was even better. We were a group of four. Food ranged from the burger to Salmon to sole stuffed with lobster. It was all delicious. The pre meal bread was very good. We even asked for another plate of it.
A nice steady restaurant. Cuisine is consistent. Email from restaurant was not clear to me about Happy Hour. Only in bar portion and not entire restaurant.
Horatio’s is a staple in the San Leandro community. They have an excellent happy hour menu, with adequate pricing and service to match.
