Whether your home is on the beach, or in a high-rise in the Big Apple, you'll find yourself asking how fish can be this fresh in the middle of the Rocky Mountains. The answer: Our passion for great food, along with hard work and mind bending logistics.
Join us to experience the freshest seafood this side of the beach, and GET HOOKED!
Food was outstanding! However, the entrance was suboptimal with the glass door blowing open and creating a massive cold breeze to customers eating right there. Also they need to relocate the loud glass bottle recycling receptacle.
Unfortunately, we were very disappointed in the service, food and value. The tables were jammed together, and it just felt awkward at every step, including apps came out after main course.
Overall, this was a good place to eat. The mood is upbeat and its a good variety to the fine dining options in Beaver Creek Village. Sushi is fresh and drinks are different.
We plan to make it a regular stop when we revisit.
Delicious, fun and unique experience. What paying for a more expensive food is supposed to be like.
A truly great experience if you get the whole fish. These guys are very creative. A little loud and not over fancy but very fun. We ate at all the best restaurants in Beaver Creek and this was by far our favorite.
Service was terrible. However our waiter was sat two eight tops at the same time. The other table was spending lots more money (multiple bottles of wine, champagne) so they got the attention. Our table was four adults and four kids so...The food was decent but not great because the service was not there. This was our third time at Hooked but we won’t be back. We love Beaver Creek Village and there are MUCH better restaurants.
Sat at the bar. Great bartenders. Helpful in suggesting dishes from the menu. Food was delicious.
Hooked is a regular stop on our ski vacation. We especially like the whole fish selection. For two of us, a 2.5 to 3.5 pound fish is more than enough and with the Chefs choice preparation, no need for ordering appetizers. It’s sold by the pound, so you can control price by selecting a fish that meets your budget. The restaurant has been renovated this season and has a larger bar now. The table seating is still limited and very close together, so if you need a lot of room when you dine, I would tell the hostess when you make your reservation and avoid the sushi bar tables as the bar stools basically touch your back if there occupied. Over all this remains one of our top choices for a unique food experience. This year the wait staff presented the fish selection in lieu of their “Fish Monger”, which was fine by us as last year the Fish Monger had no idea what he was talking about.
My husband and I , and my sister and her boyfriend dined here on a Saturday evening. I had been very excited to take everyone here, as I have been in the past and really enjoyed dinner! This was a rough dinner...our reservation was for 8:15 pm and we were not seated until nearly 9:00 pm -this is normally not that much of an inconvenience, however, this restaurant (even with its recent expansion) has no room to accommodate anyone that is not dining -SO we had to leave and have them call us once the table was ready. We know Beaver Creek well so luckily we were able to find somewhere to have an appetizer and wait. Once we were finally seated and our order was taken, the food that we received was delicious. Unfortunately, several items were forgotten and we just had them removed from the bill. I am unlikely to be back as this was not the best of experiences.
They need to improve service. Waitress are slow and not kind
Excellent seafood but costs an arm and a crab leg! They even charge for a measly slice of bread! Quality fare, however
The atmosphere of the restaurant is great. The restaurant was not busy but the service was slow. We ordered the special whole fish experience and deferred to the chef for the preparation. One of the preparations was so spicy no one at the table could eat more than one bite. Upon mentioning this to the waiter, he stated he would tell the kitchen and that was it. For a $250+ meal for three people, I was underwhelmed.
We love this place! Always beyond delicious. All of the sushi is to die for, but I highly recommend doing the whole fish! You get several raw and cooked preparations, and they are all divine. We try to go every time we are in BC!
Amazing all the way around.
Had a reservation seated 30 minutes late. Service slow and portion size small. Presentation of sushi poor ..
Great fish options and preparation choices. The CO Bass with coconut crust was delicious. The sushi was fresh but pricey for the amount served.
The food was spectacular. Wonderful presentation and without a doubt some of the best cooked seafood I have had. The sushi and sashimi options were also amazing.
The food was great and worth waiting about 15 minutes after the reservation time for our table (we asked for a 7:15 seating and the first seating had to finish up). I saw more than a few "walk-ups" turned away so I was very glad I booked in advance. My only real complaint is that a wonderful wine list didn't accurately reflect what they had on hand. The first couple of bottles we ordered were on the list but not in stock. We finally told the manager (who'd gotten involved after the second "sorry we don't have that one either") to pick a white wine at the same price point and just tell us what they did have...it was very good, but not the sort of process we're used to. A true highlight was our server. It was his first night at the restaurant, so he was a bit of a novice with the hand-held ordering device. What he lacked in facility with the high tech ordering device, he made up for with a wonderful personality and a real excitement for the food at Hooked. Despite the wine issues, I'd still highly recommend this restaurant to any true foodie who visits Beaver Creek.
Great food. Server tried very hard but just lacked the experience to be what we expect from an establishment in this price range. The only other problem was the lack of space, as tables, the sushi bar and the bar were literally on top of each other. In fairness, both negatives, the service and the lack of space, can both be attributed to the location of the restaurant, Beaver Creek Village. We have eaten here before several times and will continue to visit.
This place is way overrated! New England style clam chowder should be named “ New England potato chowder milk with clam garnish “ and calamari was soaky , salty and sad. Cioppino broth was thick totamo pasta sauce with dried shellfish.! And they charge $27 burger which was nothing special , not even coming out fries ! Nothing was right. I don’t even understand how this place has great reviews! There are way better places in Vail /beaver creek valley.
Always amazing fish in Beaver Creek
Always our favorite restaurant in beavercreek. The only challenge was they sat us right at the front door and every time it would open we froze and many people would not close the door as they left.
So no issues with food or service - just uncomfortable environment to eat. Still doesn’t take away how good this place is
Great food. The dining area is a bit tight so people are constantly maneuvering around your table-mostly waitstaff. A bit pricey so prepare yourself.
The best option in BC. Fish extremely fresh and well prepared
Best sushi in BC/Vail.
Great experience! I would definitely eat here again.
We (2 adults /2 kids)had a great time and the food was all great! The adults had one of the whole fish prepared in a multitude of ways... sushi, chiveche, coconut crusted and grilled. All ways were fantastic. The only thing I had that I would not recommend is the $20 pineapple manhattans.. which I questioned the waitress on but she told me it was “totally “ worth it. The drink was smooth and good just overpriced... maybe should be under $15 to not regret it. Everything else was well worth it!
3 stars for ambiance. This place is always busy and the seating is really tight. Food was good. Would go again.
The food was delicious with lots of fresh choices. A little surprised at the portion sizes - the fish entrees were tiny, but the salads and sides were large enough to share. Very good wine and saki selections. This is a great place to go pre or post theatre events. Not sure the food is hearty enough to satisfy after a hard day of skiing. NOTE: seating is TIGHT here. Not necessarily a bad thing, but be prepared to make friends with your neighbors and to be jostled around a bit by the waitstaff (who provide excellent service). Not a place for intimate conversation, but lively and fun.
Used to be much better in last few years. Apps and rolls ok but not great. Lighting is too bright.
The fish was delicious and super fresh!
The food is generally excellent. My wife ordered fish and chips which were “OK”. Probably not the best thing to order in a fresh seafood restaurant.
We had the whole fish experience. Food was delicious. Fell a little short on the sushi roll. Received just a plain roll with the fish rice, cucumber and nori wrap. Expected a cool sauce over the top with some roe or micro greens. Roll, nigiri and rice came after main coarse. All very tasty.
Had reservation for 8pm and did not get seated
until 830pm. Should have left then. bartendor
was rude and slow. Food came out very slow,
had to leave because of terrible service and
go to Blue Moose Pizza.
Very disappointed, it will be a long
time before I go back.
Way too overpriced for what we got. $300 spent for a dinner for 2 people, and I came home hungry(( big disappointment
Awesome food! Service was hurting and cold night made sitting near the door a bit chilly.
I love Hooked. Have had better experiences in the past.
The layout of this restaurant does not allow for an enjoyable dining experience. We were seated in the major thoroughfare between the bar and the sushi bar. We were constantly jostled and bumped by both waitstaff and fellow customers. The food was fresh and delicious, but could not make up for the lack of atmosphere and space. We may return for a happy hour snack at the bar, but not for dinner.
Excellent service from Ann! Recommend the ceviche
A charming sushi restaurant was remodeled into a bar with poor seating and bright lighting. Food is still great although drink pricing is absurd.
We are Hooked!!! Dinner was delicious. Definitely a Hot Spot for a fantastic dinner experience in The Village!! Do not miss it!!!
