This is an excellent restaurant with fresh selections and great service. As a result, the reservations can be hard to come by. We have had excellent sushi there, but my personal favorite is the clam chowder, amazing! I'm looking forward to returning.
Excellent Chilean sea bass and poke!!!!
Great job...excellent food
We come here every time we are in Beaver Creek. Great food, great service.
Absolutely outstanding food and service. Every. Single. Time.
Always a stop on our trips to the Beav
Super fish. Fun atmosphere. Whole food option is truly unique. Pricey but worth it.
Incredible options to pick a whole fish and then have it prepared in lots of ways. Super cool atmosphere. Sushi / sashimi was excellent
Our first stop when we are in Beaver Creek. Had the Dynamite Shrimp Nachos for an appetizer and sushi for dinner. YUM!!!
We were a little late (our fault) and the restaurant has a 15 minute policy before giving the table away so we lost our table. We were able to sit at the sushi bar though and, while it wasn't what we were looking for in terms of comfort, it was perfectly fine. The sommelier was very knowledgeable about the wine and our waiter was super knowledgeable about the menu. There are some fabulous dishes and flavours to sample. We didn't do the whole fish meal as we wanted a variety but the couple next to us did and it looked amazing. We had the ceviche of the day, which was one of the best I have ever tasted, and the shrimp nachos, which were really tasty also. We had about 6 small plates in total which was probably 1 too many, we couldn't finish everything. We will definitely be back though (we went for lunch the next day !).
The appetizers came out wrong. The meals came out at completely different times. One first, then several minutes before the next 4 (sushi on one platter) he had to go back to get us plates, , and finally the last meal was served. The waiter offered drinks when we sat down, but then only came back to re pour saki, but never asked the other 3 guests if they wanted another drink and left so quickly we couldn’t ask him for one. The food is good but quite pricey even for Beaver Creek! They show the lunch menu which has several non fish items but you can not order anything from it after 3 PM. How about coughing it up for 2 different menus so not to tempt the non fish lover with unavailable options. The only saving grace is the sushi is delicious! The other meals from shrimp scampi to a burger were average.. We’ve dined here several times, the service that night was just not acceptable for any dining experience anywhere! The ambience was loud, casual, and crowded.
We just ate sushi and all of the rolls were fantastic! Service was very good and nice fun atmosphere.
Great food, attentive staff, whole fish option is great. Always a great time. It can be pricey but certainly worth it.
Excellent service and food. Very creative and inspiring menu. I highly recommend.
Hooked has evolved into a truly outstanding sea food restaurant. Food and service are terrific. Highly recommend.
Love this place! How they get such fresh sushi in the mountains I don’t know, but it is always yummy.
The food was great! We went there for Valentine's day/anniversary and was even gifted a rose at the end! How cute! We opted for more Sushi choices this time and it did not disappoint.
BEWARE. Let me start by saying we were excited to try Hooked. We did read the reviews about the restaurant not being cheap so my wife and I were prepared and are ok with somewhat expensive meals. Checked the menu as well prior and during our order and it seemed about standard for an expensive fish restaurant.
The part we have an issue with and are now sharing with the public is that our waiter completely deceived us by not disclosing prices of certain items. As I stated we were a couple of 2 people. The menu is a bit confusing. We were prepared to order a couple rolls and an appetizer and a few drinks and that would have been more than enough food for us. Our waiter (Joel) than let us know if we wanted sushi they have the Omakase - chef's choice and pointed to it on the menu. The Omakase reads $50 for 6 pieces nigiri, 6 pieces Sashimi and 1 roll. We both agreed that sounded great and decided to go for that along with the Ceviche of the day. He then asked if we would like to choose the fish for our Omakase which we said yes. He brought out 4 fish to choose from and explained them all at which we point we asked can we have a variety? Figured that was Omakase - chef's choice. He said no you have to choose the whole fish so we ended up picking one we liked. Now at that point is when the waiter should have mentioned the price range of each and every fish he presented. At no point did he indicate an additional charge on top of the $50 we saw on the menu for the Omakase. As the meal went on and our fish started to arrive we could see it was nothing like the Omakase we thought we were ordering. It was much more food than a group of 6 could have eaten. Dishes kept coming. Not enough characters here - check my full review on Tripadvisor and Google. Bottom line our bill came out to just shy of $500 for two of us. We were shocked!!! The fish was $313 and no one EVER mentions this. This restaurant is deceitful, BEWARE patrons.
Love, love, love this place. It never disappoints.
Grant place. Awesome fish and prep
Love this place. Food is excellent. But next time I'll ask for a table away from the front door.
We had a great waiter who brought excitement about food & menu. Very different experience than other restaurants- you could order fish w/ many different sauces. Everything we had was delicious ! Would definitely go back
Service was great. Food was good. Noisy neighbours made the experience less pleasant. Chatty sommelier.
We very much enjoy Hooked, although being its the only game in town, they seem to be on the high end of pricing.
I know the restaurant is small but we were seated next to the door which made our evening seem less than relaxed.
We also felt rushed as we hadn’t been there so as we looked at the menu we all if a sudden we’re shown the whole fish choices. We did take that option, plus a delicious citrus salad and 3 sides, so the evening was fun and different- but we were in and out in an hour. That is quick service- plates removed before we were done, lots of different waiters coming from different directions- maybe give me a little more time to relax next time.
Service was underwhelming. Food arrived sporadically, so we did not eat together. Music was so loud we could not talk nor hear the wait staff. Very disappointing.
Muy bueno, porciones chicas y algo caro
We have diner here in the past and had s great experience. Wow - tonight completely opposite. The hostess couldn’t be more unfriendly. She gave our table away so when we arrived we had to wait. We finally sat and it took 20 mins to get anyone’s attention.
The waitress was unqualified and incompetent. When asked to check on our food status she said okay but then never came back. I had to call in the Manager to get an update and she was surprised after 75 minutes we had not been served food. Good food but really poor service and overall customer service. Disappointing
Got a resy on Open Table which surprised me because getting in here has been hard to come by. We immediately asked for the fish monger and got a superlative description of the fish just arrived from Tokyo Fish Market broker and New Zealand. We selected a Kin Madi (spelling may not be right). It is caught as deep as 2000’. Also a NZ Bream. Had the Madi raw and the break half raw chef’s choice and the other half chimichurri grilled.
Service was fantastic. We were greeted upon arrival, our coats hung by the heater and seated. Quickly acknowledged by our waitress, sent the fish monger and the sommelier. The som gave us a great review and comparison of the available sakes. The Soto sake had a pear flavor that came out with the light fish.
The presentation from the chefs was unique, delicate and flavorful in the way the tiny accoutrements complimented the different fish presentations.
Thank you Hooked.
Portions for entries were smaller than even a normal appetizer. Fish was bland and not cooked well
Server had two many large tables. Service was a little slow but they did a good job.
Fun dining experience. Friendly wait staff. Worth doing.
The food was good, they were hard selling the whole fish dinner which we heard was quite an experience and quite expensive, but for two people an entire fish didn't make sense. As with most things in Beaver Creek, it was very good quality, ambience was very nice and it was a bit overpriced for what you get.
Hooked is consistently the best place for innovative sushi and sashimi in the valley. Certainly not cheap, but it’s always a treat.
The sushi was good. Our entrees were nothing special. We ate there a few years ago and it was outstanding. We were so disappointed with our entrees and our waiter.
As always the sushi is fantastic
Our reservation was at 8. We were seated at 8:50.
Service was bad
The sushi bar staff were great.
The whole fish option was just amazing with half of it being cooked standard fashion anywhere you want and the other half raw. I wonderful experience
We love Hooked. We go there almost every day of our skin trips to Beaver Creek. Such a unique experience and always is enjoyable, and tasty!
