Honu Seafood and Pizza - Lahaina

Great food, Airin was our delightful, efficient and helpful server, and the restaurant literally at the water’s edge is beautiful. The ambiance was nice though Really noisy.

Great ambiance and pretty good food. Get there early to eat outside and enjoy sunset.

Honu is our favorite spot in Lahaina, Maui! We come to Maui once a year for the past 12 years and we will make reservations in advance to dine here. Food is excellent, service is always great, even though it is a bit pricy, but for the over quality, Honu is much worthwhile!

We enjoyed our experience here. Sat at the bar while waiting for our table and the bartender was friendly and funny. Had the ahi bruschetta app (yes, order it!) Then seated for dinner Oceanside and the food was just terrific. Would definitely eat here again. Busy place for a reason.

We have been visiting Maui for nearly 20 years and dined at many local establishments from casual, take-out, fine dining, farm-to-table, waterfront, store front and food trucks. Last Saturday we wanted to try something new and local. We were able to easily make a reservation on the same day for a time that worked for our schedule. And we live supporting a family owned small business. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious, and we enjoyed a relaxing dinner on our last night in Maui. #Mahalo #grateful

Excellent dinner and service. Their Ahi Meatballs were unbelievable. You’d never know they were 100% Ahi. We will definitely come back to Honu on our next trip to Maui.

Food was excellent but quite pricey. Noise level very high. Waiter pleasant but inattentive. We went for good food and certainly weren’t disappointed there.

Second time there. Excellent food and service! We always recommend to friends and family. The owner was very nice and a great cap to the night. Keep up the fine work and you will definitely see us again.

Crazy, ridiculously superb experience. Possibly the best meal on Maui, or at least in Lahaina. Sit by the water, and let the waves soothe you while you enjoy some of the most incredible fare you'll find on the island. Absolutely outstanding.

Not as nice as it use to be

Weird! Weird! Weird!!! Strange menu with odd pricing. Who would pay $27 for Clam Chowder soup. And you are not in New England! Shrimp are $5.95 a piece! This place should just be a pizza joint as the interior environment is dated and the menu is a hodgepodge of poor over priced selections . There are better ocean views in Lahaina than this has been location. Save your money and appetite for somewhere that is worth it.

Our experience was absolutely fabulous

If you’re in Maui you can’t miss at honu. For the resort/tourist crowd you’d be hard pressed to find better food at this price. The service makes you feel like ohana. And if you’re lucky you’ll be dining about ten feet from the ocean. Make a reservation and do yourself a favor.

For our parting meal on this trip, Honu was the perfect spot. Fantastic sunset view and rolling surf. The Ahi bruschetta was recommended and exceeded the expectation. We had the seafood chowder which was rich and slightly spicy. The Greek and rock shrimp Verde pizzas were exquisite. We will be back the next time we visit Maui, likely for more than just our parting meal. Aloha!

Service was lacking in many areas - waitress never checked up on us after receiving our meal, Mac and cheese had 4 little pieces of crab...would expect more for a $40 dish. No bread pre meal or with meal. For the cost, it was not worth it. Worst meal experience of our honeymoon- would recommend many other places before this one. One plus is that the raw oysters were great, however $5 each!

This was a charming surprise that was recommended by someone we sat next to in our hotel bar. Great view of the sunset, exceptional food with amazing variety. The fresh fish was delicious! We'll be back.

This place is a gem. The Ahi Bruchetta is by far some of the best bruchetta I have ever had. The fish was amazing and the service was top notch.

We go to this restaurant the last night of every trip we take to Maui. The food and view did not disappoint for sure but we were rushed through our meal despite asking the take our time.
And it was not busy.

The ahi bruschetta is excellent! Incredible if you are lucky enough to have a table oceanside. It seemed every person I encountered working at Honu was lovely and interested in me and my experience. This is my third visit and it hasn't disappointed.

Inattentive and unhelpful server. Given poor table in the middle away from view, against a wall, despite my reservation for a special occasion and us pointing out better tables available. So-so food at high prices. Ocean view was nice though, as much as we could see of it from our tucked-away table.

Connie was great. We had pizza and it was great. Drinks were great also. Pleasant atmosphere.

This was one of the worst dining experiences that I have ever had. I had added extra notes on my reso that I was celebrating my anniversary and even dropped off a bottle of sparkling wine before my reso. We were sat at 8:00 and it seemed the restaurant was winding down and it was the last turn of the night. Our server Conrad seemed very busy and told us that he would be right with us. When he approached he asked for our drink orders and had to tell him that we had a bottle of sparkling that we had brought. I was making small talk with him while he was opening our bottle and I guess he wasn't paying attention but it kind of exploded everywhere. He went over the menu with specials and recommended the seafood pasta which was 50.00. We ordered oysters and oyster shooter to pair with our wine and he was a bit aggressive of getting our order in so we ordered the Ahi bruschetta, seafood chowder and then we wanted to split the fish and chips. The oysters arrived a couple of minutes which were great and shucked properly. When we were done with the oysters the ahi came about 1 minute after and I felt he was trying to rush us through our meal which I kind of could understand if there was a wait but there was no wait and he's section was emptying out. Our seafood chowder came with the fish and chips and I sent the fish and chips back because it was too much food and if I wanted an app with an entree I would have said so. When he came back to check on us I told him that I sent the fish and chips back because I didn't want it all at once. He seemed annoyed and then really annoyed when I told him that I just wanted to cancel it. Honu is a special place for my wife and I and always come here on our last night in Maui which we visit about once a year. The last time we came which was last September we had such a great time and our server was amazing. I was so disappointed on the service, the food, and how we were treated on our last night in Maui on our anniversary. We won't be back

First time eating here. Small menu with unique choices. Two of us had pizza, another the fish n chips and also the crab sandwich - ($$$$). Everything was delicious. Friendly staff with good service and free valet.
