If you are looking for some Dimsum and chinese food that are not expensive, then visit this place. Equitable to PF Chang's in terms of food items and taste; as well as ambiance and cost. We stayed in The Palazzo for a week and looking for great taste at a reasonable price and found The HK Cafe. The other is Grimaldi's Pizzeria which we went to for a late evening snack before heading back to our room.

Enjoyable meal, but pretty pricey for this type of cuisine. Food arrives quickly and service is top notch.

Had the king seafood Vietnamese noodle bowl. Had absolutely no flavor. Things came out so quickly could tell they weren't made per order. Would eat there again in a pinch but order differently.

The food was really good! The beef dish we ordered was really tender and had no gristle. The fish was delicious and the pot stickers were great! The only thing is that it seemed very overpriced. There are other places with even better Chinese food that would warrant the price. Overall, we thought it was good, just a bit pricey.

Beautiful décor and high quality food. Lovely break from the casino floor. One point off for smoky atmosphere, but that comes with the territory (inside Palazzo).

So good we returned for lunch the next day. The $99 Peking Duck menu is well worth it. Pays for full use of 1 duck, feeds up to 4, although we were 2 so skipped appetizers. First, sliced Peking duck on pancake sliced and served tableside, then they shred out as much meat as they can and make bean sprout/duck stir fry, then drop bones in a tasty noodle soup. Outstanding.

Fairly quiet when I was there for lunch.
Quite an extensive menu, portions seem large.

Service was ok. No complaints but in a place with so many great restaurants this one was good.

Probably very different in the evenings when very busy.

Eating at the Hong Kong Cafe was a disappointing experience. I started by ordering a cocktail, but they delivered the wrong drink. On their fourth attempt to get it right, I gave up. Some of the food was served cold. And, overall, we left dinner thinking that they are many better places to eat in Las Vegas.

It took 45 or longer to get our food then I had to ask the waitress where our food was then when it arrived it was all cold. I had to find the manager and let her know the food was cold...Michelle the manager immediately took our food and had new hot food done and she delivered it to our table personally and checked on us the rest of our time there.

Food is good! Was actually surprised given it's location. The rice that came with the Hainanese chicken was so tasty. Service is quick, polite. Would definitely return.

The food was very evidently fresh, however, it lacked depth of flavor. Staff could do a much better job engaging the guest and helping to craft a dining experience. We were not disappointed but the meal was not memorable either.

Pretty much overpriced. I understand the need to price high since at a casino location and lease could be higher, but felt Nicole and dimed. Even a small bowl of whiter ice wasn't included and was overpriced ($4)!

Old school Chinese like when I was a kid 50 years ago, every bite as delicious as I remembered it, even though prepared by different hands! Bravo (and when a roomful of Asian customers are eating happily that says something positive about the Hong Kong Cafe!)!

Staff was great as the size of our party evolved by the minute! Cocktails were lovely and the food was hit and miss.....I wouldn't recommend only because Vegas has so many great places to try and I found better while I was there in the Wynn hotel. Not bad though if you're booking before you get to Vegas for a larger group. It was fine just not memorable

I'll start with the positives. Our appetizers were tasty (the pot stickers and Siu Mai). The entrees were absolutely delicious. The Honey-Glazed Walnut Prawns were huge, creamy, with a perfect walnut sweetness. The Pepper-Crusted Beef Tenderloin was moist and savory, and I highly recommend.

The staff, though not mean, seemed uninterested in service or the guests. They had no concept of time or sense of urgency. Over 10 minutes to be greeted by our server, with the entrees taking just short of an hour to arrive. The food runner did seem slightly concerned as he stopped by the table about 50 minutes after ordering to tell us the food would be out shortly, which resulted in the delivery of the Prawns a few minutes later, followed by the Tenderloin about 5 minutes after that. The manager that was standing at the front desk for much of our experience did not seem concerned with his inefficient staff and kitchen, nor about the less than satisfactory guest experience. Check retrieval took an abnormally long time as well. When asked where the restrooms were, one staff member simply said "casino" and walked away, while the other said "over there" giving a general wave of her hand that encompassed the entire casino floor. A day or so after the experience, I was notified by Open Table to explain why I "missed" my reservation, as the hostess never confirmed we arrived despite only having 2 other tables in the restaurant. This incident was cleared up by sending the check-in time and items ordered along with payment method and check price.

In short, don't go if you're on a time crunch or expecting the top notch service promised/expected by The Palazzo Hotel and Casino. However, if you have a few hours to spare, the above mentioned dishes were absolutely delicious, and well worth a return trip.

Be wary of the chicken curry as it is HOT and not a word about that on the menu. The satay soup on the menu said it was hot but it was not.
The appetizer sampler plate was lovely to start our meal.

I was expecting colorful garnished plates and a more upscale experience. For the 2 of us it was $108 for something I could of been served at a PF Changs which as a much better ambience and beautiful garnishing for half the price.
