Shawn (server) was great. These folks do Tuna steal sandwiches right. Business conversation was easy, without fear of being overheard. As a local, this place is great.

Lunch specials @ $9.95 are a great deal. Servings are plentiful. Two meals worth in my case.. Ginger mushrooms soup was WONDERFUL.

Celebrating our son's 25th bday which I noted in my reservation. Was disappointed that the restaurant didn't put candle in our dessert or anything even though it was mentioned. Regardless, the food was delicious and our son loved it.

The appetizers came out cold and the steaks were tough. I had the pork chop, it was ok, but my colleagues told me about the stakes.
The server was very good. His name was Chris.

The food was so disappointing! We were there at 11:00 for Sunday brunch. Couldn’t get near the omelette station...too many people waiting and only one pan/cook available. We were all going to have omelettes because most of the other food being offered was sub par. The Frittata was rubbery; some kind of chicken dish which I decided to try, the chicken was dry! I could go on but for the sake of brevity I’ll just say, none of us will go back.

This was my first visit to Hondo's and was really looking forward to it after hearing so many positive things about it. However, after having dined there I felt rather underwhelmed by my experience. We had 2 glasses of wine, one appetizer and two entrees. The bill was well over $100 which I felt was a bit excessive. The appetizer had a total of only 5 shrimp on it. One of us got a seafood trio and the other the prime rib. The seafood dinner was pretty good except there was so much cheese on the shrimp it had to be scraped off before eating them. The smashed potatoes were excellent! The prime rib was cooked very well however the side dish of the augratin potatoes had so much of an overpowering cheese or spice in them they were totally inedible! This was for a birthday dinner, which I indicated when making the reservation, but that was never mentioned while we were there dining. Overall, this is not a restaurant I will return to in the near future or recommend to a friend.

Going away party for coworker. Service was very slow; but food overall was good. Our server was pleasant. Tuna cooked perfectly.
