Our waitress (we can't remember her name but it was unique and she told us her brother got to name her) made our visit an absolute joy. Food and drinks were sublime.

The best thing this restaurant has going for it is the physical restaurant itself, including its location. You would not go here solely for the food on offer. I do not consider it to be on par with other restaurants on the the Michelin "recommended" list we have tried. We started with the cornbread and for entrees had the brisket & macaroni salad and the filet & frites. The corn bread was fine, but nothing more interesting than what we have regularly made at home. The brisket was reasonably flavoured, but nothing you would not find anywhere else and probably less flavourful than what I have had at sandwich shops in Montreal. The macaroni salad was uninspired and not unlike what you get at the deli-counter at Thrifty's. The filet was a nice steak, but was ordered medium rare and came medium to medium well. If you are going to serve steak, be absolutley sure you can cook it properly. Otherwise, just don't. Neither entree was particularly creative or particularly flavourful. It is what you would expect from a thoroughly average restaurant. Not bad. Not exceptional. Just fine. Would I go back? Perhaps for drinks and appetizers, again largely because of its physical plant and location. But definitely not because of its food. For dinner there are simply too many other more interesting options in the area, with more creative and better-prepared offerings.

Great menu, and very accommodating to slight revisions for dietary preferences. Delicious! The patio is lovely, just a bit noisy.
