Highly recommend this place for brunch. Pork belly + applewood sausage + potatoes + toast + eggs = the only breakfast you'll ever need to eat.
Had a good meal on the outdoor patio. Service was very good and would recommend this restaurant
Awesome food and great service, VERY attentive staff. My second time there and I will be back again, cocktails were perfect! I never order chicken at a restaurant because I make it so much at home, but I ordered it this time and it was so good, the au jus makes it (requested dark meat a few mins after I ordered and it was no problem). Everyone at the table (6 people) ordered different dishes, and everybody was very happy. Appetizers were fantastic too, the pork belly, hummus, and seafood corquettes were super tasty!
Also,I didn’t realize they have a patio until we left, next time!
This place never disappoints. I go here all the time and just keep coming back!
Excellent food and service. Noisy so harder to carry on a conversation.
Went here to celebrate a graduation. Delicious food (maple pork belly!!) for a reasonable price with top notch service!
We had a small family gathering and really enjoyed the service, food and nice ambiance. The charcuterie board was small, but tasty. We’ll definitely keep the Homer St. Bar and Cafe on our list of great places to meet for good food.
Everything was good, except I’m a bit disappointed that although I mentioned in my reservation that it’s for someone’s birthday, nothing was done to acknowledge this. Not even a small candle on a free dessert. Maybe this restaurant doesn’t care about ‘special occasions ‘.
It used to be better I’ve been here several times. Service was great, ambience is unique but the food menu and taste has deteriorated I left feeling unsatisfied and hungry after paying $70 for two people.
Homer Street Cafe is my favourite restaurant in Vancouver. It is where we take any out of town guests and it is where we do family dinners. Its beautiful and relaxed atmosphere and excellent food made from quality ingredients never disappoint. The service too is impeccable and friendly. We love the halibut, steak and rotisserie hicken dishes. HSC is great for brunches too.
Always a favourite - food and service is consistently great.
My boyfriend and I like going there for our special date nights. Food is delicious and well priced. Friendly and attentive service and one can actually talk!!
It was great! Service was amazing and the food was delicious
My husband and I really enjoyed our first experience at Homer St Cafe & Bar. My husband said the rotisserie chicken is some of the best chicken he's ever had. My lamb dish was pretty good. Our cocktails were fantastic. I am a celiac so the fact that most of the menu was already gluten-free was awesome. We sat in the little raised room with the roosters on the wall, which was particularly nice once the noisy group of 6 left, as we were celebrating our anniversary, so we appreciated the intimate, quiet setting.
Was wonderful, Jay is an amazing server and the rotisserie chicken is always fantastic. Just too loud in the lower room to have a conversation.
I am a frequent diner at Homer Café.
Always one of my "go to place" in the neighborhood"
The warmest servers!
Absolutely wonderful! Such a sweet place with amazing food and wonderful service! First time in Vancouver and it was a yummy start to the trip!
First time visitors. Loved everything about this place. Rotisserie chicken and secret garden cocktail was better than imagined. Going back againN
Real great food
First time there and I was surprised at how chic it is inside. Reminded me of an authentic French bistro. The menu was interesting... the smells and the food were very yummy. The service was excellent and the value was terrific! We'll be back.
Never disappointed with this restaurant. The meal was delicious, and the service was attentive and engaging. Had a wonderful time.
Food was great. Only gripe is, having informed the restaurant that we were celebrating an 80th birthday, and having asked them to make a bit of a fuss about this lovely older guy, nary a fuss was made. They did put a candle in his dessert, but that was it. Also, we had to stand and wait for 15 minutes and not because we were late. We were a bit early. I thought that given the age of the star guest, we could have been seated immediately. It was a 5pm res. and the place was mostly empty.
Amazing Restaurant, one of the best in Vancouver . Will be back again for sure!!!!!
The food was great and our server was exceptional. Looking forward to dining here again!
Great place for brunch! Highly recommend the orange ricotta fritters!
Unfortunately it was unusually noisy with a table of 6-8 loud patrons next to us. When they left they were replaced by another equally loud group! We realize that there is no way for the restaurant to control this however it made it difficult to visit with our friends and partially ruined the ambiance that we love.
The staff and food was fantastic. Highly recommend Homer St Cafe.
Fantastic service on the patio for happy hour! Booked a last minute group reservation to surprise a friend on his birthday. Staff were happy to accommodate us, and treated us like royalty. Amazing chicken and burgers!
Great food. Great service. Great coffee. Always stop by for brunch when I'm in Vancouver.
Great service. Food was fabulous. I've always come back with friends and never a disappointment.
Was the last night to get together with a long time friend before he moved to Toronto. The servers were lovely and the food was tasty. Always a special treat to go to Homer Street.
We came for an early Easter dinner celebration. Had the Sole fillet and their famous rotisserie chicken. It was very good. The sole fillet was just ok, planned to have the Halibut BUT the actual menu did not have this anymore. Anyway certain items on the On line menu is different from the actual. Place was stuffy and it was a Saturday night, was crowded. Tables layout was quite close to each other so can/may be feeling congested. Had two soft cocktails, were very refreshing, did not order dessert as nothing special. Just chocolate pudding, peanut butter pie, tiramisu, did not have the lemon Curb as stated on the on line menu so we gave dessert amiss.
The daily fresh sheet/special were sold out so couldn't get to taste them. Overall a good dining place as many option available.
Service was good, not great. Food was excellent. Nice ambiance!
Not a great brunch experience:
Long wait for a table even with a lunch reservation that we were on time for.
Two of the five dishes ordered arrived either cold or Luke warm (quickly resolved, and with fresh eggs).
Nice room but the music is so loud.
Quality of espresso is disappointing.
We booked a table for 6, before a show on Granville street - and asked to be in and out in an hour. The team at Homer Street was great! Beautiful spot, delicious food, knowledgeable team - and we were all wrapped up in an hour. Will definitely return when we have more time to enjoy!
Eric was so nice and knowledgeable! Will come back with large group and sit on patio.
Great dinner before the symphony. I was impressed by the quality of food/presentation and service. Will be coming again!
Great food in a beautiful setting. Bravo. We hadn’t thought about the Homer for brunch, but we’re glad we did. Brunch menu is not extensive, but everything they do have is great. Would recommend it to anyone.
Great spot for a friends get together. Did not get to try the chicken as the server recommended the daily special. Meat was cooked well and just a tad bit under, but understandable as the window of perfectly cooked and still juicy is very small. Flavor wise the appitizers was good, the rotisserie pork rib was on the bland side and needed much extra sauce. Desert was decent by the books, and can benefit from having a more sophisticated touch.
Chicken skins were the only disappointment everything else was fantastic. Skins were oily and too salty.
