Homer Street Cafe & Bar
Housed in two of Vancouver’s most iconic buildings, Homer St Cafe and Bar is a contemporary restaurant set in the historic Homer Building and new Beasley building in Vancouver’s Yaletown district.
Classic comfort cooking takes center stage thanks to a fire engine red rotisserie that roasts all manner of proteins. It’s chicken that’s the star here: served in quarter, half or whole portions, accompanied by classic sides basted in jus.
A decidedly adventurous wine and cocktail list rounds out the menu. The restaurant features two spaces that consist of an open concept kitchen “Chef’s Bar” where one can get up close and personal with the culinary team, a semi private dining room with reclaimed factory windows, and bespoke seating complemented by antique tiling.

The service was very prompt, the food was excellent, but we felt very rushed - rushed to decide, rushed to order, and rushed to finish our meal. The prices have gone up considerably and while the food was excellent, it was expensive.
Service was spotty, lamb was over-cooked and lukewarm and lager was mediocre.
Food was ok.. the ribs and chicken were delicious, but the sides were a bit underwhelming. The server was very sweet and accommodating
It is a Very loud restaurant...I would come back if it was a quieter place. The music was so loud I couldn’t speak with my dinner companions
A great place for a celebratory dinner. I love the seasonality of the menu. I wish there were more meat options.
The Homer St., Café is the epitome me what a café or bistro is all about! The cocktails are well-crafted and the food is delicious! I love the combination of a vibrant, modern atmosphere with a building that has old school charm! Honestly, there is nothing about HSC that I don’t love!
Food was ok. Waiting for 15 minutes to be taken the order, and 45 minutes to be given the food after the order was not ok.
It was noisy for sure, but fun people watching and excellent but simple food.
Cobb salad plus fries equals happiness.
This was our first time at Homer St for brunch and it was fabulous. The menu featured elevated standard brunch fare and the service was just spectacular. No idea how they manage it when every other restaurant in town seems to be suffering from staffing issues, but it was a pleasure. Great spot, great decor, great food and great service!
Exceptional good quality, kind service, beautiful restaurant. I highly recommend.
The service could be a lot better but I'm a foodie and the food is just so amazing, I don't come for the servers. The kitchen staff in the open kitchen are very hard working and perfectionist and you can tell. The brunch is just amazing you have to go!!
Brunch was amazing, the drinks were great (Try the Jitterbug) and our server was super friendly. The only issue was the number of people sitting on the street side patio that couldn’t keep their dogs under control.
Food was fine but nothing special.
Exceptional service. Server was fantastic and the food never disappoints
Food was excellent and staff were friendly. Beautiful building and cute patio. Will definitely come back!
Highly recommend the halibut!
Food quality and service are top notch at the Homer Street Cafe. Always an excellent dining experience.
Steak and eggs were just amazing, great staff and atmosphere.
Good food, great atmosphere and service. Quite pricey.
We always enjoy coming to you but - wow - it was really noisy, almost uncomfortable. You might consider doing some acoustic work in the kitchen/dining room as the noise bounces off that tin ceiling and from the kitchen.
Otherwise all good.
Great, fast service and atmosphere. Heated patio :)
A great experience - will certainly go back! Excellent meal :)
Another beautiful birthday dinner!! Thank you for always going above and beyond Homer St :)
I have complained about before about a particular chef screaming at the other workers and servers. He is SO LOUD, he has ruined my dinner 2X. I verbally complained this time to the manager this visit.
I have always brought all my business associates, friends and family to Homer Street for meals—I will need to sit outside or in the bar area in the future—this guy needs to go!
Had a great brunch! Food and service were excellent. The decor is also beautiful!
Brought my parents here for the first time, was a great experience, love the food. Will definitely be back!
As always, Homer never ceases to amaze with the phenomenal service and fantastic food!! Fast becoming my regular haunt!!
Love the latest brunch menu - everyone loved their choices . My Lil Homie Breaky Sandy was the perfect breakfast sandwich ! Service was great as usual the servers are engaging , and professional . On my list as a primo brunch spot in the city.
Our server was amazing and the food delicious.
Very hot inside. Food was slow. Gotta sit outside.
Celebrating two weeks since our second vaccine shots
Delicious, casual vibe, great service. Highly recommend.
Service was fantastic! My husband loved the seafood options, I would have enjoyed maybe one main that could have been made vegan (I thought the Gnocchi could have been but it's made with cheese gnocchi). The Quinoa Salad was still quite good but lacked variety in the salad so it was quite a bit of quinoa to eat in one sitting.
Cocktails are fantastic here and this place likely knocks it out of the park for meat eaters.
A great little "french bistro-esque" place with good food, attentive service and a cool but not overly pretentious vibe. Just a touch off the beaten path, but easy to walk to from just about any downtown hotel.
It is a touch loud, especially when seated near the bustling bar, but the experience is otherwise fantastic. Nice sized patio, too, as another option. Really like that this location takes reservations, unlike its sister restaurants. Recommend!
The food was amazing and our server Shay was fantastic. I will go back again
The staff are so lovely. The ambience is really nice and the food was incredible.
Service was amazing and great atmosphere. One of our favourite everyday dining places
One of the best brunches in Vancouver. The Cobb Salad and burger are both outstanding.
Food and service were wonderful as ever! I realize that times are tough for the industry right now and we appreciate all that you do ensure your guests are well looked after.
Staff accommodating and friendly. Service was prompt and the food was delicious. Love the house made fries!
