Homefire Grill Ratings and Reviews
We had a lovely dinner with three couples, sat right next to the Christmas tree, and received outstanding service. Food and drink was all terrific -- three of us had the chef's special, which was superb, and the other three ordered from the menu with equally delicious results. We will definitely be back!
Three of the six guests have been to your restaurant several times before and highly recommended it. So I thought we would meet there for a Birthday celebration. We were not disappointed and the live music was fantastic ambience. The hostess seated us in a quiet corner which was appreciated, the service was excellent, the wine and food were great. I would highly recommend Homefire Grill for great food and service as well as the atmosphere.
We were really impressed.
Very disappointed in this restaurant. We've been here before and it wasn't a great experience the first time so we gave it a second chance, but I'm not sure we'll go back a third time. Food was cold, bland and there wasn't enough servers on to meet the needs of our table which caused delays and unhappy people. There are many other good restaurants on the west end that we'll chose to go to next time. The live guitar player however was the highlight of the night!
The food was outstanding! I cannot say enough good things about how fresh and well prepared everything was. We asked our server to pass along our compliments to the chef when we were done, something I am not prone to do without very good reason.
We arrived right at 6:00 PM on a Saturday night and although the restaurant was very busy our service was excellent, our food arrived in good time, and the restaurant was not overly loud.
My wife and I will be back for sure the next time we are in Edmonton.
Gorgeous food, amazing ambiance, a cozy feel but still a hot spot. Fire place in the centre is wonderful.
We had our wedding reception, a small gathering of family and friends, in the private room. Fit 36 comfortably, the decor and menu were personalized and adjustable, and the food and service left us not worried about a thing. A "must look at" for smaller gatherings
You will not be disappointed!!
A beautiful fireplace adds charming ambiance to this restaurant, but be sure to dress lightly if you want to sit near it. It can be very warm! Service was pleasant and prompt, and we were allowed to linger over our wine without being pushed to order the next course. We were also very comfortable finishing our wine and conversation even after the bill was settled. Good portions, great selections, something for everyone. It was a most enjoyable evening!
My Brother and Sister-in-law took me to the Fireside Grill on the recommendation of my good friend. It was an absolutely fabulous evening! Our waiter was knowledgeable and just attentive enough without getting in the way of our conversation flow. The 3 of us, all seasoned patrons of fine dining, agreed that our server Matt was one of the best servers we've had. The food was phenomenal, steaks cooked to perfection. The menu has something for everyone with some unique offerings. It was a terrific birthday celebration. I highly recommend the Fireside Grill.
We have frequented this location a lot over the years, but have been shocked by the rude service of one person particularly and it seems to be setting a tone for the whole facility. We didn't even stay after we didn't get seated as per our request on our reservation and then treated with poor hospitality with regards to trying to make our experience comfortable and pleasant. This is not how this place used to be.
Although our service was great, our food was not very good(steak was tough and dry, chicken was dry, stir fries were soggy and it was very noisy with the open lounge/bar adjoining the restaurant. I was there for mother in laws 70th birthday ... so evening was not as planned I'm sorry to say!!!
Celebrated Mother's day brunch. Table service was great, prompt refills offered, friendly and polite. We were made to feel welcome. Great selection of brunch-like food with the unique offering of bison meatloaf with saskatoon berry sauce. Absolutely delightful and was definitely a positive memorable experience. Will certainly dine at this restaurant again.
I have frequent this restaurant often for both lunch and dinner, business or casual. Never disappointed with the meal and if you are, they will fix it. Very accommodating to changes to menu/meal choice. Wait staff is always smiling and friendly but no pushy. They respect you pace.
This was my first visit to Homefire Grill. I will definitely go back! I had the best salmon en croute I have ever tasted. My guest also really enjoyed the tortellini. The service was attentive and we were not at all rushed as we enjoyed the evening and the fireplace.
I booked a reservation for Valentine's day, upon ariving I was told that we would have to wait as there were 6 tables a head of us. Isn't the point of a reservation not to wait? The woman at the front was not the nicest about the situation either, she just kept repeating that there was nothing she could do as they let too many walk-ins in. Now in my opinion on Valentine's day when you know about reservations should you not save the tables? We ended up having to wait an extra 45 minutes before being seated. I don't know if I would come back cause of it.
we went to Homefire for Valentine's Day, We have been to the restaurant prior to this visit and as usual the food and the service were quite good..Two complaints unfortunately on this particular day. First of all, our reservation time was not met which I find very inconvenient... Second and probably worse than the first is that our appetizers were literally brought to us 10 minutes apart... These may not be all that important to some but when there are dozens of good restaurants within a stones throw from each other vying for your business and hard earned dollar the little things that are or are not met is what will be remembered... All in all and good restaurant with good food and good service..
