Holsteins - The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
Had a great experience at Holsteins. Chocolate shakes lobster macaroni and cheese and just super great burgers. If you can afford an $80 lunch it's the best! On another note we had our anniversary dinner reservation at Zefferinos in Venetian. Reservation for 2 at 7pm on a Friday night. When we arrived completely famished we found that the restaurant had closed. This obviously ruined our anniversary as we had trouble finding a table anywhere at a decent place. It would have be nice to have been notified by Open Table that the restaurant had closed. For this reason I will not used their website again. Very upsetting and disappointing. Do yourself a favor and just call the restaurants directly. You can be assured that you actually have a reservation at a restaurant that is actually there. Very unhappy customer!
I was disappointed that the vibe was not very fun. I also did not care for the cartoon cow art but I did like the rest of the decor. My waiter was amazing and friendly, helpful and fun. He was the best part of the experience. I believe a manager brought a drink to my table and asked if it was ours and he called it by the name, when I asked "oh,what's that?" He ruled said a drink as he walked away. I have lived and worked on the strip for 28 years and I have to say that he just topped off my already low opinion of the restaurant.
5:15PM.. IT WAS BUSY WITH ALL THE TABLES TAKEN IN THE LOUNGE. WE ORDERED THE GOLDEN BURGER, MEDIUM RARE, NO BUN, NO FRIES, CHEDDAR CHEESE INSTEAD OF GOAT CHEESE, TOMATO JAM ON THE SIDE, EXTRA AIOLE SAUCE AND EXTRA ARUGULA. $18.50. IT WAS OK. BEEF PATTY WAS KIND OF HARD.
HOLSTEINS WAS CONVENIENT SINCE WE WERE STAYING AT THE JOCKEY CLUB. WE GOT FREE
PARKING. OTHERWISE, YOU PAY $10 A DAY FOR PARKING AT THE COSMOPOLITAN.
I NOTICED HOLSTEINS WAS GETTING READY FOR A BIG PARTY AND WAS GLAD WE LEFT BEFORE THAT BECAUSE IT WAS STARTING TO GET NOISEY.
THE BENCHES NEEDED NEW INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH CUSHIONING.
I CHECKED OUT THE REST OF THE RESTAURANTS AROUND AND THEY WERE GETTING READY FOR A BUSY NITE FOR TUESDAY.
WHO IS THE BEST FOR BURGERS AND BEER?
THE YARD HOUSE IS THE BEST FOR BURGERS AND BEER, FOLLOWED BY HH @ HOP DODDY IN NEWPORT BEACH, CA.
Food was good but server didn’t bring my shake until I was almost done eating. I had asked about it, but it took another ten minutes until it finally came. By that time I was almost through with my meal and sent it back. The server then came by and indicated he did not think there was a specific time during the meal that it should be brought.
I spoke to manager who did not charge me for the meal but the experience was ruined.
Fantastic (and HUGE) burgers, the absolute tastiest fries, and a wonderful and attentive wait staff (Thanks, Robert!) made for a great walk-in dinner! Holsteins was one of the best upscale Burger & Shake places for some fun casual dining on our quick tour along the Las Vegas strip.
While in Las Vegas, we invited some friends who live out there to join us for dinner. The service was excellent. The wait staff was very pleasant and very helpful. The menu is basically burgers and fries. I felt it was overpriced but that is Vegas for you! Everyone is our party was pleased with their meals. We had an early reservation-by the time we left the place was packed!!!!
Tasty food and good service-can't go wrong.
Literally the best restaurant I've ever been too. We are from out of town and I would fly to Vegas just to go to this restaurant again. I got the original burger and fries (which was the best I've ever had anywhere) and I got the cookies n creme milkshake drink and it was to die for! If you go anywhere you HAVE to go here!!! My mind was blown...
Great burger and appetizer s place and don't miss one of the yummy adult shakes like a Smore! Noise level is very loud so it's a bit hard to talk. Good atmosphere and fun. Located inside the Cosmopolitan Hotel on very nice part of new Vegas area. Open Table is great to use for reservation here and better than waiting in line which can be very long at peak times, holidays and weekends. The energy of Vegas is here.
The last 3 times I've been here, the service is always really slow. No matter if there's only 10 people seated or there's a line waiting, always feel ignored by the wait staff. I'll listen to them talk amongst themselves on various topics but when trying to flag one down for something I might need or when waiting for them to follow-up on something we've asked for a while ago, always seems to take forever.
After 20 minutes I would stand up and ask to see a menu or after 10 minutes I just had to walk up to the server station to see if I could get a status on the 5th dish that was supposed to come 35 minutes ago.
Just feel ignored at times.
We went just for the boozy Milkshakes and they did not disappoint! There were 13 of us so we got to order one of everything and each milk shake was so unique and boozy! The Reese's one I would say had the least alcohol in it compared to the rest that tasted very much like vodka. Overall would recommend based on the Milkshakes alone!
Late flight into Vegas and ended up here for a burger. The restaurant is located inside The Cosmopolitan, so there's plenty to see and do after dinner. We started with the Buffalo Chicken Dip, which was awesome! Moved onto the "Al Pastor Burger" (habanero cream s.o.s.) for dinner. The plan was to enjoy a boozie milkshake for dessert but was too stuffed after my meal. Plan accordingly if you want to enjoy it all, the burger is big enough to share if you can agree on one!
Lobster truffle mac n cheese was great, could really taste the truffle. Also tried the Billionaire burger which was awesome. Cook on the burger was perfect. Nice selection of draft beer. Extensive burger menu, so good for groups with varied tastes. Boozy shakes were great too. Definitely would go back. The only thing I can criticize is the fact that OpenTable doesn't allow you to book for table of 8, even though it appears as an option. I tried so many time slots without luck so I booked for 5 and went by the restaurant. They were great about it and they had no problem increasing my reservation.
