Holsteins - The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
This place has such unique items in the menu! They have the most delicious shakes with alcohol:) I had the maple bacon shake was incredible served with a chocolate covered piece of bacon on top! They also had a DJ start playing great Pop music while we were there! I could've stayed and danced all night.
We made the reservation on the advice of other Open Table reviews and we weren't disappointed. Our food was great and the shakes were the best ever, especially the cookies & cream shake! Ordered hamburgers all around and popcorn shrimp. The shrimp even came with popcorn...the presentation was super clever and the shrimp was really good. Often times the batter is super crunchy and no shrimp, that was not the case here. Would eat here again and highly recommend this spot for a great burger and shake!
This was just OK. We were looking for something not as pricey as Aria and Bellagio restaurants and the price is reasonable but overpriced for food quality. I got a turkey burger (I don't eat red meat) and it tasted just like the frozen ones I have at home. My husband got a burger and said it was OK. Our service was awful. We waited 10 minutes for our server, and then people who came in 15 minutes after us got served 10 minutes before us! (Note: one couple who came in after us was a good friend of hostess as they were hugging and kissing while being seated). It was fun to people watch, as much of the patrons were 40 something males, similar to Hangover cast!
Nothing revolutionary here. My burger was dry, on the thin side and uninspired. The bun was very run of the mill as well. Was my food bad? No!!! Was it memorable? Definitely not. It also wasn't helpful that my fries were lukewarm and soggy. I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to return
I cheated and had The Gold Standard with Fois Gras versus The Billionaire Burger and it was excellent. Definitely a top notch burger. My wife had the Ahi Tuna sliders. I would recommend passing on this. While the tuna was meaty, the bun was cold and somewhat hard. Had the Red Velet Milkshake and it did not disappoint.
This was our third time to Holsteins and everything was pretty much the same. They do change the menu for shakes w/liquor in them every few months the server said. My Husband's burger and fries were really good as was my chicken burger. My drink was not cold and frozen as it should have been however--so the drink was more creamy than like a shake. My husband did say his shake was frozen however.
Burgers burgers burgers! Started with philly egg rolls and cuban street tacos, both yummy! We ordered four burgers and split them four ways. All were juicy and delicious and of course we ranked them: #1 El caliente (loved tequila-cilantro mayo!), #2 Gold standard, #3 Longhorn and #4 the steakhouse. I hate to even rank 3 & 4 as they were all delicious. Fun unique place for casual fun dining and 2 bam boozled shakes: red velvet cake and coffee & donuts! so rich and good!
Holstein's is all about burgers and milk shakes, and they do a great job with both.
I had the 'Gold Standard' burger and an alcoholic 'Pumpkin Pie' shake. The burger was cooked just right and tasted great (dry-aged beef)! The arugula was wilted and didn't look too appealing, but it was probably due to the heat from the burger so I'm OK with that. The shake is a pretty large portion (1/2 in a glass, the other 1/2 still in a drink tumbler) and VERY thick. I almost wished they served it with a bubble tea straw! The taste was amazing and, although there is vodka in the drink, the vodka wasn't overpowering. It was just the right kick and you could still enjoy the drink like a normal milkshake.
One last thing: I substituted my fries with onion rings. If you're a fan of onion rings, do yourself a favour and get these! SUPER crunchy and served with an amazing chipotle ranch dip. I couldn't finish them, so I took it to-go and asked for a side of the dip as well!
This was not a good experience. I go to Vegas multiple times a year and this was a big disappointment. The service was very slow and it was not busy at all. Had multiple open tables and no one came to ours till we asked. Menu was boring and plain. Food did not have much taste and presentation. Will not return and will NOT recommend to anyone.
This place is fine for what it is, a burger joint in a casino. Ridiculously noisy, with friendly service, lots of great beers and decent food. It was fun and the fried pickles were delicious. The street tacos were ok, as was the chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. I'd go back but would not go out of my way to do so.
This is a great place for burgers - a nice casual place to get away from the higher end Cosmopolitan atmosphere. I had the rising sun which was great and the Tempura Avocado on it was tasty. It was off season when I went so it wasn't very busy but the ball game was on TV which added a bit of excitement. I will be back.
The food was tasty, burgers are good. The shakes were what set this apart but their price was over the top, especially if you got one without the alcohol. Who ever heard of $9 for a shake. But if you can afford it and make a reservation ahead of time during busy times then this is a good place to eat.
I just love the posh casual nature of this restaurant. It's low-key but still classy and the burgers are great! I tried the one with potato chips, added a fried egg and it was divine ! I also partook in the Tiramisu milkshake - rocked my world. I recommend Holsteins, not just for tourists, but locals too!
Holsteins has a nice selection of burgers. Stick with the gold standard. It is their most popular and delicious burger. It's a very good burger joint but Las Vegas is full of very good to great burger joints. My personal favourite is BLT at the Mirage and you can never go wrong with In N Out burger.
The shakes are great and our server recommended ‘THE RISING SUN’ burger made with Kobe beef, teriyaki glaze, nori furikake, crispy yam, spicy mayo and tempura avocado and it was a good call. That and the sweet potato fries. The shake was great but the lobster macaroni and cheese was underwhelming. We just had to order the "Cold Standard" novelty dessert that looked like a burger and fries but was a dessert: lemon glazed shortbread "fries" and a chocolate wafer coated vanilla ice cream "patty" and berry sauce that looked like ketchup. It didn't taste all that great (except for the "fries" which were yummy) but it was cool how it looked like a real burger and fries.
Holsteins was amazing. The milkshakes, which can be made without alcohol, were to die for. Probably not the healthiest but a splurge every once in a while? No biggie. The burgers are huge. I halved mine with a friend and it was perfect. I could never eat a whole one myself. And since we were traveling, I couldn't take home any leftovers. The service was impeccable, I asked for an extra sandwich pick for a souvenir and received not only an extra pick but a holsteins koozie. The complimentary popcorn according to my friend, is super addictive. Personally I was won over by the sweet potato fries.
