Love it here! We go often
Very delicious food! What made the yummy food even better was the impeccable service and welcoming personality of our server, Kory. He was knowledgeable and assisted perfectly with our menu choices. He helped make our dinner perfect! The favs of the night were the okra and eggplant dish, oysters, burger, chicken entree, and the Hoppenjans side dish.
Great date. Small tables, my go to menu option is 🍔
Diners at the table adjacent
Awesome on all levels
The food was good as always, and the service was excellent. However, their air conditioning was out, and given I had reservations I kind of feel like I should’ve been told this before arriving. I would have worn something more comfortable, and the gentlemen would not have worn blazers had we known this fact.
Entrée food was good and reasonably priced. Felt the starters were over-priced for the amount of food. we had the charcuterie and it came with two small wedges of cheese and small pile of meat. The pork belly and peaches, while very good, was the same price as the entrees. The dining space felt cramped.
Previously one of my favorite restaurants. Hadn't been in awhile and didn't realize the menu had changed so much. Fewer choices, more expensive, and overall the food just didn't sound very interesting. Plus, in an empty restaurant we were seated in the last table by the lockers so I could watch employees change their shoes.
Left without ordering food and probably won't go back.
The HF hamburger was outstanding!!! It is the best burger I have ever eaten!
Excellent food. Our server, Cameron, was Amazing!
We really really wanted to like this place since it was so convenient to my son’s apartment, but after dining out at a midtown restaurant last night and seeing that Holeman’s drink prices were about ten dollars more for the same exact drinks, it was a little disheartening. Then we ordered a cheese plate. We had high expectations and were disappointed by the small portion sizes. The cheese plate is maybe better for two instead of four. We were going to do dinner, but we were turned off after the appetizer. The ambiance in the bar was nice, but the dining room was super small and very warm. Service was good; however, our experience was not.
Our new favorite spot ! The burger was amazing !!! The waitress Emily was awesome as well. We highly recommend
With one of our grandsons we continued our search for Atlanta's best cheeseburger at H&F, a burger we've enjoyed at Braves games for years. Much as we liked the ballpark version, this one was better yet! We also enjoyed the chicken liver pate and can't wait to return to try the sweetbreads.
A special note of thanks to our server, Annette, who noticing that my wife was picking at her burger, asked if anything was wrong and my wife replied that she didn't really care for cheese on hers but that she'd make do as she should have known. Annette was back in seconds to tell her that a burger without cheese was on the grill for her. We'll be back!
The food was tasty. It was a little expensive. The burger was DELICIOUS! The area is a little small, but it is cute for a date night. We went for a birthday dinner and the staff was nice. They made sure we were taken care of.
The peppers are amazing. So simple and yet tasty. The sweetbreads tasted like a piece of fried chicken. Really good fried chicken. Crunchy, salty, savory are among the words to describe. Solid cocktails. Comfortable ambience. I will be back.
It was my our 4 year wedding anniversary, and my wife and I could not have had a better meal. The food was so amazing. An absolutely unforgettable culinary adventure. The staff was beyond attentive and accommodating that we felt like part of the family. We would like to thank everyone for helping us celebrate this momentous occasion!
we really enjoyed our meal at H&F. I had a Galapagos cocktail and it was amazing! The food was great, as was the service. The only negative was that they ran out of their famous hamburger. Because they have a fairly limited entree menu, you would think that they would make sure not to run out of one the items.
Menu lacking in variety.
Server was overly energetic and really eager to turn the table. Unfortunately it tainted the evening. Food was great as expected.
Great oysters, pork rinds, and tartare. Sweetbreads weren't the best I've had, but were still tasty. Sticky toffee dessert was a highlight.
Every part of my meal at Holeman and Finch was perfect. Their strip, with bleu cheese butter, was the best, most perfectly cooked steak I have ever had. I was treated like royalty, or even better, like family. The quality both in service and in food abounded. I thoroughly enjoyed every second of my experience. 11/10 would recommend!
good burgers in atlanta, nice small place, should visit
Much-lauded cocktails lacked in both presentation and flavor. Kitchen overwhelmed and could not get items and courses out at the proper time. Creative menu, but just not that tasty. I would not risk going here at this particular time.
Staff was pleasant and made the effort to come out and explain why everything was late, but ultimately that did not compensate for a bad dining experience.
The experience was interesting. We were brought some hard rolls with pickles and mayo which was weird. I ordered the bacon Carmel corn which was stale, the cheese burger which doesn’t come with lettuce and tomato and I was told that it would be $2 for a slice of tomato and $2 for a slice of lettuce. The manager came to our table which I didn’t ask for him and explained it was because the lettuce was coming from their $12 salad and not iceberg are you kidding me? I hate being nickel and dimed especially at a restaurant that is supposed to be posh. The burger was good but give me a break. I’ve eaten at all the Taos, Cipriani, Giannis, Barton G and many more great restaurants and have never experienced such foolishness. I will pass.
This place is on point with the drinks and the food. Yeah, it can run you a little coin, but if you go in for a couple early evening drinks and hit up a few items on the menu, you'll be right as rain ready in the mood for the later night. Tip these cats well because they're gonna take care of you.
We had awesome and fun service from Annette and Cameron! We were at H&F for a bite with friends. We love different cocktails and different food options. H&F never fails! All of you from kitchen to bar to incredible servers...you guys are awesome!! Thanks so much - Kelly
Great! Elliot was a wonderful server and gave great recommendations!
Watch your bill. Great servers, two were amazing, but wife has celiac so were warned not to have fries. On the bill there were two upcharges (1 for $4 and 1 for $8) for because we didn't have the fries, one for big chunks of cucumber. Ruined the experience that H&F would do this. After years of going there, no more. Don't mind paying but hate this kind of undisclosed charging.
Fun ,inventive menu
Food was a treat
The restaurant lost its character when it changed from a tapas menu to a limited graze and appetizer with main dish dinner. The trout was the smallest portion I have ever seen. Luckily I shared my hamburger that wasn't as special as it used to be.
I will save the drive and find someplace else.
I tought was a hamburguer house. They have one of the best burguers in town. I will not try other food.
It is a familiar place: great! cordial people helped us.
I will visit again in the future.
All the best!
We waited almost 2 hours to get sat even though we had our reservation. A table I guess was over their 2 hour slot and the restaurant had no where else to put our table of 4.
The staff was fantastic. And the food was delicious!
Way over priced. Small portions but not enough quality or flavor to justify the price.
Nice, inventive cocktail to start, house made Hungarian salami along with the house made pimento cheese were great starters. It's easy to see why their burger is so highly rated. The service was fun and spot on, making a good meal better. Thanks!
Holman and Finch had been our favorite restaurant for casual dining in Atlanta.
We have dined here time after time for years.
This one experience was way below expectations
As a matter of fact, bad enough to consider not going back
1) the reservation for 5 was not honored ( we sat at a table for 4)
2) the menu has changed for the worse
3) the food was mediocre at the best, both in the choice of dishes and in the cooking execution
I hope that this was a hiccup.. we will recover and see later..
High expectations for birthday dinner at this place but very disappointed. Waitress was attentive, actually overly so...maybe trying to keep the tables turned over since the place is so small. Ordered drinks that were pretty to look at but taste was just OK. The strange mix of music was played SOOO loudly that we couldn't hear each other talking across the tiny table. Shared 2 pretty good appetizers but opted to find another place for dinner.
Overpriced and unpalatable cocktails. Overpriced and underwhelming entrees. My dining companion apologized and said the place used to be better. Apparently they've recently changed their menu. The service was good, but otherwise I felt like I spent a lot of money for a sub-par meal I could have gotten at Longhorn/Outback or another chain restaurant.
Accommodating, helpful, funny staff. Food is beyond amazing.
The server was amazing! Food was wonderful!
