Phenomenal!! Burger is worth the hype
The host who seated us was also the individual who waited on us. Having received an email about the special that was available from 4 to 5, I asked about it. He lied and claimed it was only available up to 4 o’clock. (We were seated at 4:30 which was the time of our reservation.) What we had to order was grossly overpriced, and distasteful given his misrepresentation designed to ensure he received a larger tip by denying us the option of the 4-5 o’clock special.
Best burger I’ve ever had. Traveled from DC for NYE and stayed till 5 when they opened just to try the burger, it was more than worth it. I would also recommend the deviled eggs and dirty bread pudding.
Great food, pleasant people. However, they were out of three things that we asked for from the regular menu, which was a bit off-putting. We also felt that our servers were genuinely sorry about this and they offered the best alternatives available. The buffalo fried chicken skins were an amazing app, and I can't say enough about the charcuterie (although the cheese may have been a bit mis-characterized as a mild cheese, it was very tasty.) Not a large place, which suited us to a T, but plan accordingly if you have more than a couple of people coming.
still as good as ever. I am not looking forward to its reported move to Colony Square which will take this location further away from me. Much better than its namesake at Battery Park and different than the location at Ponce. Although they had run out of some items, the burgers and fries were tasty as ever. Nice beer with the closest thing to a Guinness pour that I've had this side of Ireland.
On point in every way.
Finally experienced the famous H & F burger! It absolutely lives up to its reputation. Once I picked up the burger, I never let it go until it was finished, which made me sad😥
Can't wait to return and do it all over again!
Thank you Korey for being the best and most fun server we've ever had!
Kelly and Michael, Your review is greatly appreciated; we hope you will come back soon! Sincerely, The Holeman & Finch Public House Team
A great evening!
Thank you for the 5 stars!
Get the burger and the chicken and grits.
I was actually a little disappointed. They did not have tomatoes for my burger and I had to ask twice for condiments. I don't think it lived up to all of the hype.
Best Burger in the ATL
The burger lives up to the hype, the bone marrow was a great addition to it. The service was impeccable as soon as we walked in, every single person we interacted with was incredibly kind, funny, enjoyable, and efficient. Great fun ambiance at the bar to wait for your table.
For some reason the heating in the restaurant was not turned on before dinner service so it was extremely cold. The service and food were in general poor. We placed our food order and some time later were told that the pasta dish was out. I would have expected that the service staff would have been made aware of this fact before we ordered. We also ordered the half chicken and the grits served with the dish were cold. From a service perspective we have to ask for EVERYTHING, no follow up even though the restaurant that was not even full.
As much as I love the food and the staff (who are always accommodating) HF can never get their service up to par😔
The wait for the first cocktail is unacceptable; a draft beer takes fifteen minutes, and no matter how delicious the cocktail, it’s never worth the wait. Y’all gots to pull it together please!
Amazing place ... The best in Atlanta
My wife and I really wanted to like Holeman and Finch. But, it was not to be. We arrived at 6:30 and were immediately seated. The very small dining room is incredibly crowded and set up to fail. Our table in the middle of the room was so close to the other table that I could not sit down without constantly hitting chairs with the table behind me. It was actually worse at the side tables. Very poor set up. After sitting totally unnoticed until 6:50, a waiter finally asked us if we wanted drinks. Yes, we did. We never saw him again until 7:05 when we got our drinks, 35 minutes after sitting down. Seriously? That's great service, right? Eventually we ordered food at 7:10 and it began arriving around 7:20. The food was good, not great. But, the service was horrible and the ambiance was worse. Trying to eat with people banging up against you and aisles so narrow that the waiter had to turn sideways just to get by the table was not an experience I want to have again. And, I won't.
This place is somewhat of a hidden treasure. Hard to believe they've been there for about 10 years. The food and drinks are amazing. The staff is super friendly. The location is pretty small and intimate. Great for a date night or a few friends to get together (like 5 or 6 friends). We will definitely be back!
Wonderful place, I thoroughly enjoyed having drinks and dinner at Holeman and am looking forward to next time.
We had a great time!
Never been such a small space. Cozy is overstatement. I think food was average, noticed every other person ate a burger.
The food and service was great. However with a reservation we still had to wait a hour. It was very noisy with tables within 2 ft of each other. Too crowded and way to noisy to enjoy the wonderful food.
We celebrated our annual ladies Christmas dinner at H&F and the place did not disappoint. The food was amazing and the customer service was stellar. We will definitely be back!
Loved it — especially the amazing cocktails! Sam, Cam, and
Phillip were amazing!!!
Glad you loved our drinks! We are proud of our team. Thank you.
I don’t know how it was because even though we had made the reservation they said it would be an hour wait.
Service was slow. Out off first two wines selected. Ordered two appetizers that were to be served together as our entree. One was never served. Although 15% was taken off the bill; it just wasn't a good night.
Awesome Burger and great service! A little crowded
Great experience again. Excellent Old Fashioned, excellent charcuterie, excellent meal, excellent staff and service!
Amazing! The food was great and so was the waiter that served us.
Very nice gastropub. We shared the charcuterie plate, salad and a burger. Food was very good and service was great.
Parents first time coming down to Buckhead. Food and service was top notch. Parents thought the menu was so interesting, they asked if they could take one home. Cameron was nice enough to have the entire kitchen sign the menu so they could take it home. 10/10.
Food was fantastic! Must get the burger!
Food was good service was tragic particularly the host seating people. I was with my 81 year old mother and he refused to give us a booth there was one other table in the restaurant. He had a ver smug attitude not customer centric at all. I also did not appreciate waiting for service while the staff was busy eating in the kitchen totally visie to my table.
Service and ambiance are cool, food is terrible besides the burger. Stay as far away as possible from the half chicken, the $14 grilled ham sandwich. Cornbread is also a hard thing to get wrong but this was probably the most underwhelming I’ve ever had unfortunately.
Never disappointed. Love the deviled eggs!!
I’ve been to H&F few times in the past years and have been extremely impressed with the food. This time it was “good” but not fantastic as it had been in the past. Kyle was our server and he was terrific! Our group (mainly me), was tad high maintenance (I’m sorry) but Kyle took it stride and joked about my requests which was all good spirited! I’m bummed the food didn’t live up to their own standards of past years.
Seating was tight. Food was good.
Waited over 30 minutes for appetizer - Crunchy Gentleman - A grilled ham and cheese sandwich. Was not crunchy and was cold. Server was friendly and personable. But wouldn’t tell ya what it was.
Isaiah was a great server— food and wine was perfect for someone returning from two weeks in China. Will return to H&F again soon.
Food was very tasty overall, but prices really are a bit steep for the level of the food. Tables are crammed in, and even the servers were literally tripping over chairs because the space is so tight. Fun but loud atmosphere.
