Loved it — especially the amazing cocktails! Sam, Cam, and
Phillip were amazing!!!
I don’t know how it was because even though we had made the reservation they said it would be an hour wait.
Service was slow. Out off first two wines selected. Ordered two appetizers that were to be served together as our entree. One was never served. Although 15% was taken off the bill; it just wasn't a good night.
Awesome Burger and great service! A little crowded
Great experience again. Excellent Old Fashioned, excellent charcuterie, excellent meal, excellent staff and service!
Amazing! The food was great and so was the waiter that served us.
Very nice gastropub. We shared the charcuterie plate, salad and a burger. Food was very good and service was great.
Parents first time coming down to Buckhead. Food and service was top notch. Parents thought the menu was so interesting, they asked if they could take one home. Cameron was nice enough to have the entire kitchen sign the menu so they could take it home. 10/10.
Food was fantastic! Must get the burger!
Food was good service was tragic particularly the host seating people. I was with my 81 year old mother and he refused to give us a booth there was one other table in the restaurant. He had a ver smug attitude not customer centric at all. I also did not appreciate waiting for service while the staff was busy eating in the kitchen totally visie to my table.
Service and ambiance are cool, food is terrible besides the burger. Stay as far away as possible from the half chicken, the $14 grilled ham sandwich. Cornbread is also a hard thing to get wrong but this was probably the most underwhelming I’ve ever had unfortunately.
Never disappointed. Love the deviled eggs!!
I’ve been to H&F few times in the past years and have been extremely impressed with the food. This time it was “good” but not fantastic as it had been in the past. Kyle was our server and he was terrific! Our group (mainly me), was tad high maintenance (I’m sorry) but Kyle took it stride and joked about my requests which was all good spirited! I’m bummed the food didn’t live up to their own standards of past years.
Seating was tight. Food was good.
Waited over 30 minutes for appetizer - Crunchy Gentleman - A grilled ham and cheese sandwich. Was not crunchy and was cold. Server was friendly and personable. But wouldn’t tell ya what it was.
Isaiah was a great server— food and wine was perfect for someone returning from two weeks in China. Will return to H&F again soon.
Food was very tasty overall, but prices really are a bit steep for the level of the food. Tables are crammed in, and even the servers were literally tripping over chairs because the space is so tight. Fun but loud atmosphere.
The food was great but really more suited for hanging out with friends as the menu is geared towards smaller offerings. Nonetheless, it is delicious and pairs well with their broad drink offerings.
The food was great but
Always exceptional ingredients with detailed execution and preparation all with outstanding service. One of the best places in Atlanta
Everything is so wonderful. The meat options (marrow, buffalo chicken skin) were perfect, and the burger is one of the best burgers I have ever had. Cocktails also top-notch. Both servers were fantastic.
Not sure if this place has simply fallen from grace after so much publicity or just general complacency. In any case, I'm still wondering if I was at the same place mentioned in so many glowing reviews about the burgers. I was disappointed to say the least. Having tried multiple things on the menu as a party of 3, we could all honestly say this place didn't live up to the hype. From under-cooked beans to burnt Pork Belly, not low and slow, but hot pan burnt. The staff did address the issue, but at that point it was a bust. So many other options in Atlanta, that this one could be skipped.
Overall Holeman and Finch Public House has a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere - but for the price the dishes were pretty lack-luster. Starters were okay - we ordered 6 oysters and a charcuterie plank for the table (the wedges of cheese were TINY though). My wife ordered the vegetable plate which had little to no seasoning and, as she put it, tasted as if it were heated in a microwave; ditto on the clay pot carrots that were ordered as a side. I ordered the porkbelly confit, which fair warning is a WHOLE LOT of peanuts and cabbage with two small/medium sized pieces of charred pork belly - will not order that again if we return. The drinks were good as well - I had a Tom Collins and 2 in our party each ordered a "Bees Knees" cocktail. The remainder of our party of 4 both ordered and enjoyed the HF hamburger; and we all shared the sticky toffee pudding for dessert which tasted great. Paying $$$ I wouldn't have expected to have more misses than hits, so while your experience may be different, lowered expectations are recommended.
Best Burger in the world. Good table wines. Our waiter was nice, professional and quite funny.
Really good small plates. Burger is great! Loved the place.
Excellent service and excellent food. I got the Beef Tartar, Veal Brains and Bone Marrow.
The tartar was good, flavourful, maybe just needed one more pinch of salt but otherwise excellent. The flavoring on the chips were nice as well but they needed a bit more crisp. The Veal Brains and Bone Marrow though were out of this world. The brains were mild and creamy like a slightly less unctuous foie gras and came a bit crispy on the outside and dripping with caper butter and perfectly toasted points. Then the bone marrow came parmesean bread crumb crusted with toast and onion salad and the whole meal was just incredibly decadent, sinful, especially as you mixed them up. The crisp of the toast, the fattiness of the marrow, the creaminess of the brains, salt from the capers and acidity from the onion salad to cut through it all. Pretty much I will sleep well lol.
This was my third time to Holeman and Finch, and the first time it was a real disappointment. The food was *boring,* which at this price point is definitely not acceptable. The vegetable plate was small and overpriced, with hard, rubbery green beans. My Crunchy Gentleman (a sort of croque monsieur) was *boring.* The sticky toffee pudding was unexpectedly chocolatey. (One exception: my companions shared the burger, which was good as usual.) The entire experience reminded me of the old Catskills joke... "The food here is horrible!" "Yes, and the portions are too small!"
Great experience...food was good, service was top notch!
I have eaten at H&F once before and had their sweetbreads. They were fantastic. So I was in the mood for some more and talked a friend into going with me. Made a reservation which was honored immediately upon arrival. The menu was completely different from any I had seen on line going back several years. No sweetbreads. Being on a diet, I am limited to what I can eat and settled on a steak with greens and a bone marrow vinaigrette. I was totally appalled at the quality of steak I was served. I made a big deal about wanting it rare. The wait person said "mooing" and I agreed. The steak was tough, the onion rings were just blobs of fried coating with barely discernible onion taste. After our entrees were served, our appetizer came out which was steak tartar. Reluctantly I sent my steak back. When it came back it was somewhat better than the first but they forgot the dressing on the greens. I raved about their bread but did not get the first roll with butter. Our server Sam was fantastic. No fault of hers at all. The music was so loud I couldn't hear my self think! I will go back on an occasion when I have called ahead to make sure their sweet breads are on the menu.
Excellent quality food, plus the bone marrow was fantastic
Had a reservation for 4 at 8pm. It was after 8:30 and we still didn’t have a table. A group of 4 came in at 8:30 and they seated them immediately. Manager said they would comp our food and our first round of drinks. When we received the bill, it was full price. They said by “food” they meant an appetizer. I wasn’t looking to get anything free, but don’t tell us it’s taken care of and then charge us. Burger is awesome though. But not worth the bad experience.
We went for the burger which we had read about and it was really outstanding. The cocktails were not bad. The bone marrow was very disappointing, could taste mostly thin layer of breading with almost no marrow. We liked the service and the ambience. Made friends with the people seated next to us.
Highly recommended!!! Very good food and ambience . The oyster $1 is the best .
This was not a good experience at all. There was one waitress serving all the tables (at least 8 tables) while also aiding the bar. As a result, it took a long time to get everything, including drinks. We got there at 8 and they were already out of at least two entrees. The food didn’t come out all at the same time. The food was not bad, but not nearly good enough to redeem this trip or make me want to come back.
The location, service and food are always great at H&F!
Ham Ham Ham Ham Ham Ham Ham Ham Ham
Opie, our wait staff, was inattentive, slow, and unpersonable. It took 2 hours to dine, one charcuterie, one burger, one slice of pie. No bar drinks. Overall a very meh experience that did not equate with the expectation.
The H & F burger lived up to the hype! So much ooey-gooey deliciousness between two buttered and grilled buns. And that homemade mustard is to die for. It may be one of the best burgers I've had around the ATL (and we've been known to drive near and far to get our burger fix). If you are craving a REALLY good burger and some amazing fries to go with it, then get thee to Holeman & Finch!
The food and service are always top notch!
