Holeman and Finch Public House
Fantastic as usual! Love H&F for dinner, brunch or anytime.
We did end up eating at the bar, but had a great time! The cheeseburger was awesome!
The food was really good. We had one bad experience with hair in my man's burger, but this was immediately fixed. The drinks were good. The server did good with his recommendations.
Lovely Tuesday night meal
Excellent food and cocktails.
No options for vegans. Very little for vegetarians. Portion sizes are very VERY small. Drinks are great.
Food was great and so was the service. The only surprise was how tight the restaurant was - not a lot of room to move through the tables.
Holeman and Finch used to be our favorite neighborhood spot. No more. The menu has changed and is no longer unique. The fried oysters were more over-breaded topping than oyster. The once outstanding pate, served in a small jar with a gelatin topping, is now just a slice from a loaf of pate similar to something I can buy at Whole Foods. When I asked for a to-go box for remaining pate, I requested a few extra toast points. I was told there would be an extra charge for that. Really? A charge for one small slice of bread cut into quarters? Is Linton Hopkins faring poorly? Does he need alms for bread. Good-bye Holeman & Finch. We used to love you. No more.
Always good food and drinks; the seating was a little tight, but service was excellent. Found the deviled eggs a bit salty, but the cornbread is amazing. Can't go wrong with the burger. Overall, I love the vibe at Holeman and Finch!
Staff was quick and friendly. The food was delicious and of really great quality. Super happy with the food and service.
We enjoy going to Holeman and Finch. The food is always good. Really enjoyed the cheese, steak, and chicken dishes this time. The wine was excellent.
We went at 7:45 on a Sunday and the menu only had two entrees, and a number of dishes were 86ed. Food took a long time, and when it was time for dessert, the server just brought our check and told us the kitchen was closed; no warning, no nothing. This was at 8:30, and the table next to us had JUST placed a dessert order. Plan your outing accordingly.
All around the best dining experience from beginning to end. Drinks, food, service were all perfect. We do date nights frequently and like to try new places, but I will be making this one a frequent stop.
Excellent food and drink; pretty good value. Bartenders were entertaining. Pretty small place, but very good.
We started out with an order of fried oysters which was enough for two. My husband had a vegetable plate and I had the famous hamburger. Both were delicious. The sticky toffee for dessert was out of this world.
My only criticism would be to have the back area more open rather than the windows being covered and the booths being so high that you could not see into the restaurant.
Our server, Opeyemi, was attentive and described the dishes well.
Excellent food and service. Good ambiance and decor. Met chef’s parents and talked to the briefly.
This is always the best burger in Atlanta and the bloody mary was delish
For all the hype surrounding the burger, it didn't quite live up to the expectation I'd set. It was REALLY great, don't get me wrong! But I guess I just had it really built up in my mind from everything I'd heard. Still would highly recommend! The waitress recommended the bone marrow which was different and phenomenal! We wouldn't have tried it if she didn't recommend it. Glad she did. Overall a wonderful experience!
I went with a vegetarian friend. He inquired about the vegetable plate and was told it was cooked in beef fat. He then asked the server about an alternate preparation and was told that was the only way it came and there were no vegetarian alternatives. He had to order the carbonara with no egg or bacon. When he then inquired about a side of vegetables to order with his plain pasta he was told that wasn’t an option. This is absolutely unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber to not offer any vegetarian entree or to be willing to accommodate a vegetarian request.
The food was great but I think the waiter forgot he had a table! We ordered wine and they didn’t come back until we were halfway done with dinner. Shame on you for poor service. Another waiter had to take over so we weren’t really sure who our server was? Then he came back and didn’t even know that we had dinner. A little disorganized
Visiting Atlanta for the first time in 8 years we returned to Holeman and Finch for a friend’s birthday. We started off with happy hour $1 oysters which was a mind blower for the west coasters who rarely pay less than $3 a pop!. The Charcuterie and cheese course was very good, we tried 8 different items among the 5 of us. The mains were quite good and the desserts were well done. The wine list isn’t as extensive as I’d like but we powered through several bottles.
Great service, I hope it isn’t 8 years before I go back!
Cameron our server was great!! His suggestions were right on point, best old Fashion ever! Sit by the bar area the experience is so worth it! The hamburgers were exceptional. We came in from Fort Lauderdale to visit friends. So on our way to airport to stopped by for a bite. We will be back.
Only compliant is it was a little drafty
Fabulous cocktails and food! Drew and Sam are great bartenders and know the menu extensively so their recommendations were spot on! Can't wait to go back!
To my mind, this is the perfect restaurant - outstanding food with a warm and inviting atmosphere. You'll be equally comfortable in jeans or cocktail attire. The starters are delicious and you'll be sorry you shared them! The entrees are equally scrumptious, making it hard to choose! Then you move onto the desserts, which you swear you're too full to enjoy and yet ... you can't resist and won't be sorry you caved! Some of my favorites - the deviled eggs and Crunchy Gentleman, the burger (of course!), the cookies and the sticky toffee pudding. What's not to love?
The service is as fantastic as the food! Everyone is quick to say hello and ask if you need anything. (Even after two spills on my part they keep their good spirits!) The servers are knowledgeable, attentive, and totally charming. I can't recommend Holeman and Finch highly enough!
H&F never disappoints. Great cocktails, food and service in a hospitable atmosphere. Great music, too!
We were on a business trip and needed a place with good food and drinks where we could relax. Heard about the great burger here and decided to try. So glad we did! We really enjoyed it ! Everything was very good and the burgers were great as were the really crunchy fries!! Upscale, yummy and relaxed. Can’t wait to return!
Nothing written here will make anyone change their mind of H&F. Great place for a most excellent burger and drinks. The appetizer boards are yummy though pricy. Did get some roasted cauliflower as well which was tasty though. Will keep coming back for burgers and drinks even if not for anything else.
Very expensive. Dinner for 2 with only one cocktail $68 pls tip
If you are in the mood for a delicious meal and tasty cocktails look no further than Holeman and Finch. I went for Saturday brunch and enjoyed it so much I stayed until the 3 PM closing. I highly recommend the steak tartare (the best I have tasted anywhere in the USA, yes it is that good!), deviled eggs and the Johnny cakes. If Kayla is your bartender I know you will be well served in all respects. Cheers ;-)
As always, top flight well conceived cocktails, super attentive service, and that on point burger.
Worth the visit, reservation recommended due to popularity and limited seating.
Great food and service!
Holeman and Finch is small, cramped and the seating makes it impossible to get up and use the restroom without bumping someone's table or tripping over someone's foot. The layout of the restaurant was not considered at all! The menu was depressing, roast bone marrow for $20?! Appetiter yeast rolls for $3 that look like the type you could purchase at the famer's market. The cocktail menu was a very generous with an almost overwhelming selection, but once you consider the mixtures the selection is quick to narrow down. Definitely will not return or recommend. The location is charming and parking is very limited
We had a wonderful time at Holeman and Finch! We started with the meal with a delicious cheese plate and had the Springer Mountain Chicken, pork loin and burger for entrees. Everything was delicious and everyone was very happy with their meals. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, prompt and professional. I would recommend H&F to anyone!
Small, but amazing menu. We tried a few appetizers as our meal. Get there before 7 pm for Happy Hour to take advantage of drink specials.
Really great burgers! Very good service! Just a bit tight with table sizes.
Some of the best burgers I've had in Atlanta. The wait staff is fabulous and very helpful. Great little restaurant for a Sunday afternoon date. We will go back anytime!
