Hoku’s cancelled my reservation without notice and neither they or Open Table bothered to contact me. I showed up with five guests and they were closed. Terrible.
Beautiful food with lovely views. Lots to choose from with attentive staff. We went for Sunday lunch/brunch and it was one of the best buffets we've had.
Waiter was lovely. Portion size way too large though. Just felt like that we were the only ones left in the restaurant at 9:30am!
Awesome location, views, staff and food!
Great for anniversary, as it’s very pricey. Very attentive service and the meal was presented beautifully. Most importantly, it was delicious! Bring a sweater, the A/C was in full mode.
The most amazing aromas from the Island Flavors tasting menu
Absolutely great value for the money with fantastic beach view
One of the best Sunday Brunches we've had. Fantastic service. Will definitely go again
Good atmosphere. We have enjoyed ourselves very much.
We both had ,the catch of the day. The fish was tough (hard to cut without a knife) the steamed vegetable had un-bitable stalks (sautés greens) and came with plain white rice. Not the best meal. The wine was good, but of course overpriced. Service was excellent! We would not dine here again.
Outstanding in every way!
Highly recommended! The brunch was well worth it, the staff is prompt and courteous. It’s a food experience and thank you to Bob our server!
It was really nice because the late seating was not crowded so much more relaxed. The service was outstanding and ambience great. The food quality was very good. The variety of selections were not as great as other higher end Sunday brunch buffets but it was well stocked. Being indoors gave it a more upscale feel. Of the dishes that was there, taste and freshness was very good. Variety of desserts was less than other buffets we have been to in Honolulu. Overall one of best Sunday buffets in Honolulu.
My wife and I have been married for over 51 years, but because our first date was on February 29th, 1968, this was only the 13th time we could celebrate that milestone. It was perfect. The staff knows exactly what they are doing, the chef is outstanding, the view is nice (until sunset when it fades away), the noise level is low (so one can have nice conversations, and the wind list is extensive...but still has some affordable stuff. All of our dishes were good, but I would choose the moi (which I had) over the lamb (which my wife had) and the octopus (which my wife had) over the hamachi (which I had). We shared the luscious chocolate desert, which we suggest you do not miss.
Excellent food and professional service.
My favorite restaurant on Oahu, always a pleasant experience. Went twice on this trip! Thanks Barry for the warm hospitality, much mahalo!
Went to celebrate a belated birthday for a family member. The service is excellent, attentive without hovering, and friendly. The poke musubi is a favorite with the crispy rice outside. Enjoyed the rack of lamb, rib roast, lobster tails, salmon Benedict, avocado toast, almond croissants, and mochi waffles. Made to order eggs and omelets are available as well. Wok shrimp was tasty too.
Desserts have a nice variety and small sizes to sample many. The view of the ocean is so relaxing. We love coming to Hoku's and will come back again.
Hoku's Sunday Brunch was perfect. our table overlooked the pool/ beach and KokoHead slope. It was beautiful. Our hosts Taryn and Bob were friendly and attentive to our needs. They were friendly and made us feel comfortable throughout our meal. Food was delicious and sufficient in variety. The coffee was also delicious. I would definitely do brunch at Hoku's again.
Tasting menu delicious and inventive and not goofy.
Service attentive and responsive.
Horrible execution of everything.
Did a tasting. Not coursed correctly. Dishes meant to be served hot/warm, were cold. Service was a train wreck.
a must - always a solid go to for a business meal or date
We were seated as soon as we arrived, our waiters were attentive and knowledgeable and the food was outstanding.
The ambiance was wonderful, and food and service was amazing. My family had a great time.
Their Decaf was too too dark, bad taste this time, I had never had such bitter coffee.
We had Chef’s tasting dinner and Prix Fixe. I ordered Decaf for my desert, but it was terrible taste.
I sip it, then I couldn’t sip anymore. It ruined all my dinner😖. I was very disappointed.
Unfortunately our experience was not as excellent as it has been in the past. The food was over salted and the wait staff seemed to be less interested in our needs when we declined to order any wine. I was overall very disappointed with our experience.
One of the best dining experience that I had in my life.Wow,food was amazing and the level of service was outstanding.Pricey, but well worth it as my date was blown away from this dining experience.
The ambiance, food, and staff were wonderful and made our Valentines dinner a memorable experience! Thank you to Kent for his attentive service! The wine pairings were excellent and complimented the delicious pre fixe menu!
Our meal was a five course pre-fixe so I think that’s why our food was not hot when it was served. That was our biggest disappointment with our meal. The food was creative but we were not blown away by the taste. We expected more from Hoku’s.
The brunch selection and choice of food was exceptional. Service was friendly and outstanding as usual. Overall wonderful experience enjoyed by our guests and ourselves.
Hats off to Chef Wayne and his staff for continually providing the same great taste year after year. We've never been just OK with the food at Hoku's buffet, it's always been a food lovers delight. Service was exceptional, price...well, because of the great food and service, I have no complaint.
Well done Chef Wayne. Keep up the great work and great atmosphere of Hoku's.
Best brunch on Oahu.
We arrived at 5:30 for our rsvp. Slow slow slow was the hostess. The area became congested with people :( Server was ok. Truffles were terrible!
Just a wonderful experience
