We were surprised to learn that Hodges is part of a restaurant group that includes two other really fine restaurants: Washington Place in Little Italy, and The Welshfield Inn. We've had great meals at both... now at three. We had to try their Hanky Pankies - a really amazing combination of chorizo, cheddar and fig jam on a crostini. After two side Caesar salads with extra white anchovies, we decided to do apps as entrees. We had the Lobster Flatbread, and the Blue Crab Hushpuppies. We also enjoyed a totally unnecessary, but nevertheless crispy order of Tots. The manager at Hodges is very engaging and checks on each table - in our case a number of times because we had some nice discussions about the restaurant, the ownership and the chef. Our server, Katie, moved things along at a perfect rate. We were heading to the McCartney concert and didn't want to be late. The restaurant is on Euclid, which has really come back to life in the last year. The outdoor dining area is set well back from the street, not like the outdoor tables on East 4th Street. The atmosphere was perfect for a summer evening in Cleveland. Check it out!
