Had brunch with a girlfriend and it was the perfect place to go for great food and ambiance. They didn’t bother us or rush us out and we got to enjoy multiple courses and conversation. The brunch burger was outstanding and the harvest salad was great too. The drinks were well made. Possibly best manhattan I’ve had.
Food was excellent (black cod), and our server Ed was terrific.
This is our regular spot in Bergan County - Pretty Simple, great service, great food, great location and always exceptional specials on the menu. Family friendly with an exceptional BAR and Bar staff making great cocktail diverse wine selection and local beer.
Service not up to par. Table bread rolls were small and hard. Seating was not to spread apart. Food was overall good.
Always good, and the specials are frequently excellent. Professional service and ambiance add to the experience
i normally enjoy the HHI. However, i had a dried out piece of halibut that was absolutely terrible. it was inedible yet the meal was quite costly. major disappointment!
Covid definitely impacting the amount of people but not the quality of food and service.
It was a nice atmosphere for a quite New Years dinner
A lovely atmosphere and a safe environment. Food and service were divine.
Early dinner very nice
One reason we went is that they still have outdoor dining. Lunch was great and loved the selection. Our waiter was awesome too!
Second Christmas Eve dining experience for us at the Inn. It’s become our go-to. We were seated immediately and service was impeccable. The pumpkin cheesecake was outstanding.
Wonderful family pre-Christmas dinner. Best surprise about Ho-Ho-Kus Inn is that there are never surprises. Consistently great.
Our server Zrirka was extremely distracted and NOT the best server. Anyone that did serve us food such as our apps , threw them on the table without a word. Our server kept asking us why we didn’t have menus why our apps weren’t there yet, it was very bizarre. VERY disappointed with service. The BESt Service was from bus boys, host, support staff was excellent and cordial.
Food was gourmet quality. Decor was unique. Social distance was excellent! Parking was a problem on this rainy Saturday before Christmas.
Great outdoor space. We love going to HHK Inn. Service was a bit slow; food was great, per usual! Consistent all the way around.
Chopped salad w salmon was so good.
Really fun for a celebration. Really beautiful and safe-feeling outdoor setting.
Everything was fantastic. The servers and bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable. Bussers made sure the table was cleared and water glasses were filled. Loved the ambiance and decor. Can’t wait to go back.
Sunday brunch was delicious! Service exceptional!!!
Service in the "wine room" was truly sub-par, the dining room was near empty too...
Sat outside in their large tent. Food, wine, service, all were very good.
As always great dinner under beautifully decorated super warm tent
food always very good. Service excellent. Would prefer to eat indoors in Dec.
Excellent service & food was terrific!
Lunch in the tavern. Katlin outstanding. Fire place on very enjoyable.
I would like to say out waitress was fantastic. She knew when to approach and when to give us our space. Thank you for the Lindsay’s efficient service.
A little pricey, but good food.
Server was great. Very attentive especially drink refills. Good food. We always enjoy our meal here
The bus boy kept taking our glasses and plates before we were done- clearly rushing us out of the place. We also walked out to the car and returned approximately 2 minutes later and they had already thrown away our left overs- we accidentally left them on the table (all wrapped). When we asked, the hostess would not ask the busboy. Crazy and it was not even that crowded. Won't be back to be rushed to order, rushed to eat, rushed to pay and rushed to leave.
Thanksgiving menu was terrific. Nice selection for everyone in our group. We were a bit disappointed that our group of six was seated at a table in the bar area rather than in one of the other quaint rooms. I probably should have requested a specific room/area when I reserved our table. Because we were in the bar area, our service was not as excellent as in previous visits. Our server did not check in with us very often so we were short on drinks, bread service, etc. it also took a while for our main entrees to come out. Will extend them some grace given it was a busy holiday.
I got a quiet table - which is what I asked for. I remember going pre pandemic for brunch and really liking it, so we went back. The menu was pared down, and the choices that were left weren't great. My salmon burger was burnt, my brothers chicken sandwich was bland (the aioli it came with was too spicy). The calamari was perfectly cooked, but bland without the red sauce. There are so many restaurants in bergen county, I probably won't be back.
A little bit busy, staff was crazed, noisy
Great place for lunch. Truly enjoyed the service, menu and energy of the service people, who looked like they truly enjoy working there.
Wonderful place to gather with friends for a lunch, brunch, dinner! Food was delish and service was exceptional.
Always a good time.
Need fresh bread for tables.
Food was delicious
Was slightly disappointed in the fact that the Sunday brunch was not the typical brunch . We had to order of a menu. I understand covid issues but something should have been said beforehand . Also the brunch menu was limited
Excellent food, beautiful interior. Only negative was my wife ordered her entree without cheese but it came with cheese. My onion soup came without a soup spoon.
Met for brunch with friends and we all had a wonderful experience. My steak and eggs were cooked perfectly. The mimosa was delicious. The ambiance is beautiful. However, the table for 3 was cramped and could have been larger.
My guests were very happy with lunch. I enjoyed my salad with salmon.
