We have been stopping at the Revere Tavern for a few years now on every occasion we are visiting in the area. The food is excellent, the service is excellence, and the historic restaurant has a nice atmosphere which allows you to enjoy a quiet romantic dinner or just a dinner with friends.

Everything was "OK" but we were hoping for an experience well above "OK" and it just wasn't there. Relative small choice of entree items. Had to ask for second cup of coffee. Just nothing special about the restaurant and our occasion (retirement of good friend) was special. Few people in the restaurant which, perhaps, was a sign others also not enthused.

Our experience at the Revere Tavern was just great! Our waitress was outstanding and the food was very good. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone we know.

The quality of the food was excellent. However the service was a little slow and what I ordered was not what was brought to the table. It was a simple correction to make. All in all, an excellent evening. I will visit again.

My wife and I stayed at the Best Western Plus Hotel. The Inn is conveniently located next to the hotel. My wife and I always wanted to try the food here. We dined before going to a music show in town. Friendly staff and nice variety of food on the menu. We had a very nice meal and the desert was very tasty. We would recommend the Inn to friends. We definitely will be back.

A trip to this area would never be complete without a dinner at the Historic Revere Tavern. The staff is always friendly and Chef Chris is always willing to customize a dinner request when possible. Amazing grilled ribeye, very much appreciated!

Great food except for my husband's steak. He ordered medium done, looked more rare to me, I wouldn't have been able to eat it. But other than that, no problems. This is our third visit three years in a row for our anniversary. Seems like this will be our regular thing! All three times very excellent service!

We have been to Revere Tavern many times. This time the turtle soup didn’t taste that great so we mentioned it to our waitress. After our meal, as we were leaving she told us that when she checked with the chef he tasted it and told her “someone messed it up.” I would have thought they would have taken the charge for the soup off our bills, but we had already paid and were walking out when this conversation occurred. It’s too bad because that left us with a bad feeling about the restaurant. Other than that the food was good, and service great.

We came here for our anniversary and were very happy with our experience. I made a reservation and they called the day of to verify that we’d be there. The host and hostess were friendly and we were sat immediately. Our waitress was great. We were given the main dining menu but were able to order off of the bar menu as well. The food was great and the mixed drinks were tasty. They surprised us with a card and a delicious salted caramel chocolate cupcake with a candle in it, which was sweet of them to do. We will definitely go back the next time we’re in the area!

Was quite disappointed in the filet mignon that a friend ordered. It was ordered medium rare but came well done. The server - Kelly, I believe it was her name, was excellent.

Worst meal of our vacation. Well-done does not mean burnt. The center of my steak was pink -- big no-no. The outside was crispy -- also big no-no. AND SO DRY AND TASTELESS. Baked potato and rolls were blah. Friend's lamb porterhouse and mashed sweet potatoes were good, but we both thought our entrees were overpriced. I was very disappointed.

The room was pleasant and the gas fireplace added a nice touch to a cool Spring evening. There was a fair amount of noise from a larger party in the same room, nothing that could be controlled by the restaurant though.
The service was very good, attentive to our needs including filling our glasses without us needing to ask.
The seafood bisque was chosen as our starter and was very good! Quite a bit of seafood was included and the broth was delicious. This was the best dish of the evening. Both of us ordered from the Land and Sea special menu. The side salads that came with the meal were very good and pretty presentation. My wife had the filet mignon and sea scallops and I also had the filet with a crab cake. We both ordered the filets to be cooked medium, pink in the center was confirmed by the wait staff. My wife's filet was cooked as ordered, mine was delivered with no pink, closer to well done. Although the filet was fairly tender the meat was more of a high quality roast beef than it was a filet that you would receive in a steak house. That was noticed by both of us when we made our first cut into the meat. Although it was not filled with any tough spots, I've never ordered a filet and received this cut of meat before where you could see the meat grain and essentially pull it apart like a roast. Maybe I am spoiled by Maryland crab cakes since this version had very little taste to it other than essentially what the "special" crab meat smells like when it is purchased. No spice at all, just a little bland but again that might just be our tastes. The scallops were tender and plump but didn't have the seared edge on it that give it that extra taste and texture that would have earned them a higher rating.
In summary, nothing was wrong with the food but it didn't stand out as we had hoped and it wasn't worth the price due to the filet comments above.

The food was good but the ambiance wasn't what one would expect from an historic venue. It was full of kids. One kid was playing a video game without ear buds. They were also having a kid's birthday party. They literally sang Happy Birthday 6 times when the kid kept saying do it again. It felt like Applebee's. It may have been an off night but the way the staff responded made it a bad experience. When we said something on the way out, we were told "I know, they were really loud weren't they." Why didn't they do something? Especially with the kid playing the video games. It was the entire dinner.

The food is the best in the Lancaster area. Every time we visit we eat here. The filet mignon is the best I ever tasted. It’s like butter and not a piece of fat on it. The dessert and coffee are very good. Love this place. Will always dine here.

We chose the Revere Tavern to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Our family of nine (children, grandchildren etc.) was seated in a private room that was perfect for our toasts, conversation and fun. It was a cozy, intimate setting for a leisurely evening. The waitstaff was attentive and efficient and the food outstanding.
This was truly a memorable evening in every respect. This was our first visit to Revere Tavern and look forward to returning.

Another Fantastic visit to the Historic Revere Tavern. We make sure to have dinner there every time we stay in Lancaster. Server was extremely friendly & very attentive. Food was fabulous. My husband REALLY enjoyed the Clams Revere. Just a little bit different than regular clams casino. He loved it. The stuffed mushrooms were also delicious.
We both had the Chicken Chesapeake. Which was also delicious. I absolutely love the warm rolls with the Roasted Red Pepper Butter.
Whoever made the Bailey Irish Cream Cheesecake deserves a RAISE. We shared a piece there and took a 2nd piece to go.
