We have been coming here for years. The food is always delicious and there are many unique choices. The ambiance is pleasant and the service is wonderful. Not many great restaurants in this area, this is one of the few. Love it!

Our food was great and our server was very nice. Our only concern was the time it took for the entire to be served. We waited at least forty minutes after the salad was served.

We ate there many years ago and this experience was just as good. The food was wonderful. I have the scallops and my husband had pork with onions. He also had the famous turtle soup. Would go back again next time we are in the area.

We had a wonderful dining experience at the Revere Tavern. A family group of 9 of us including 4 generations ages 10 to 86 enjoyed our meal and time together there. Food was great and the waitress was super! Answers to our various menu questions were thoroughly answered and two with dietary needs were accommodated.
Revere Tavern is special to our family as my grandparents both worked there many years ago, so we have some fond memories of times there then. Our waitress joined our conversation of some of these memories and was able to add to our sense of celebrating this history.

Food was well prepared and service was timely.

My mother, sister, and I travel quite a distance to eat dinner at the Revere Tavern twice a year, and we have never been disappointed. Wait staff is absolutely outstanding. Food could be rated an 11 out of 10!! We always ask for a corner table and have never been disappointed. Thank you for a super experience!

Went for my husbands birthday. Early reservations. Not many dinners at that time. Food was great. Service was great. They brought a cup cake on a plate with happy birthday written in caramel. It was a nice touch.

Saved this historic spot for our last night in Lancaster. Very homey feel to fire-placed dining room. Chicken Chesapeake and Veal Marsala dishes were both spot on. Server was friendly and attentive. Glad we dined here.

Food was very slow to come out. Waitress apologized and explained the kitchen was backed up as they only had two cooks on staff on Sunday nights. I had a veal dish and my son had a chicken dish - both were chewy. Not an inexpensive meal, so disappointing.

Ordered the filet mignon.....very peppery.... too much pepper on the meat- burned my mouth. Later saw another restaurant patron in the hotel the next day and he said he couldn't eat his filet mignon due to too much pepper. We liked everything else, except for the service. Maybe they were short-handed. Lovely place to dine in an historic tavern. Would recommend it.

We went to the restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday. Although the room was full, the atmosphere was nice and the room was quiet enough to hold conversations with no issues of hearing. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We both had the stuffed shrimp entrée which was made to perfection. I tried the snapper soup for the first time and it was delicious.

We were a group of 6 for a 6:00 PM dinner. I ordered the prime rib and french onion soup. My soup was warm when it should have been hot. My wifes snapper was cold. My prime rib was fair at best and the baked potato was from the previous day. My wifes crab cakes were fair to poor and she didn't bother to take the left over home.

My rum and coke was fair. There was nothing memorable about the restaurant except for the service.

We have made several trips to The Revere Tavern, usually when attending shows at the American Music Theater a few minutes up the road. We had veal marsala and lamb chops, both which were well prepared and delicious. Angela, our waitress was very cordial and kept us supplied with drink and fresh baked bread throughout the meal. Prior to our leaving, and since it was our anniversary we were celebrating, the staff presented us with a small cake and lit candle to share (desserts looked great, but we were amply satisfied with our meal and the show we were to see was waiting). We will be back!

Due to a downpour we arrived a few minutes before 5 for our 5:30 reservation. Hostess greeted us and took us to a quiet corner table next to fireplace. This small dining room is charming but decor needs an update. Cocktails were very reasonable and my cucumber martini was really delicious. Under $10! My chicken with crab would have been perfect if the chicken had been cooked another 5-10 minutes. Crab was very good. Husband’s scallops were very good, much enjoyed. Blueberry shortcake was delicious. We would definitely return when in the area.

Disappointed! Spoiled seafood and strange flavor seasoning on steak. We picked this restaurant as a special occasion family dinner before going to a show. We pulled up at 5pm on a Sat night to an empty parking lot. We walked into an unattended host area and although we could see staff through a window in the kitchen area & they saw us too, they didn't acknowledge us at all. A few minutes later, a hostess did come out from another area & apologized for the wait, but this was the second bad impression before even being seated. Once seated, our waitress was very kind with our kids and attentive. She took our order right away and appetizers came out quickly. No complaints with the service. BUT the food was just bad, not just tasted bad, but the shrimp actually had gone bad. We ordered stuffed shrimp and steak with a crab cake and the filet mignon off the kids menu. The shrimp had the tell tale ammonia smell of seafood that has spoiled. The steak seasoning wasn't right either (rosemary?) which made us concerned it was a cover up for going bad too. We alerted our waitress about the shrimp and they did take it off our bill, but we didn't eat anything after that point because we started wondering if everything was spoiled. And the definite spoiled shrimp turned us all off. We are not the type to complain over food that doesn't taste the greatest, but spoiled food is a health issue. Hopefully this helps to change their food safety practices.

We live much closer now, but we first dined at the Revere Tavern over 30 years ago when we lived in Philly, and have come back regularly over the years. At this point we've dined there a couple dozen times. The service is always excellent, the food is great and the ambience in their historical building is top shelf. For our July 4 visit we had a table of 11 friends and neighbors and everything went off without a hitch. We had a great time and we all left fully satisfied.

We loved our second visit as much as the first. Service was excellent. Food outstanding. The grilled peaches over butter cake with ice cream drizzled with caramel was to die for!
We appreciated the owner’s call suggesting an earlier reservation time do that we could make our show time.

This was our third visit to the Revere and always enjoy the atmosphere, the staff, and the pricing. For the first time, my wife (stuffed shrimp) complained that her shrimp was "just a bit overdone"; in the restaurant's defense they were hosting a large ( I would say 100+ people) at the same time. We still enjoyed the evening, the staff was FANTASTIC and the updated menu was tremendous! I must admit that the ABC portion of our meal was funny because it was sauteed Apple, Broccoli, and Carrot...my wife laughed out loud when I made the correlation of ABC and asked what the Chef would come with XYZ on our next trip?!

HIGHLY recommend the restaurant to friends and family for a relaxed yet upper class dining experience.

Our dining experience at the Historic Revere Tavern was exceptional. Every course was perfectly prepared and served in a well paced manner by our server Angela E. We were especially pleased with the fine filet mignon steaks that were cooked exactly as we requested. The meal concluded with a wonderful strawberry dessert that was especially prepared to meet my dietary restrictions. Overall, the dinner was one of the best we have ever had in the Lancaster, Pennsylvania area. We will definitely return!

I came back to this restaurant because of the wonderful dinner we had here a year-and-a-half ago on a trip to this area. This time, I was not as impressed. My first visit I ordered a steak...done perfectly. This last time I ordered the Chicken Chesapeake. I was expecting a chicken breast stuffed with crab imperial. Because of that expectation, I may have read the menu too quickly; so the possibility exists that what I got was exactly what was described. My Chicken Chesapeake was merely a grilled chicken breast with plain crab meat sprinkled on top, and then covered with a sauce unlike any I've ever had on any crab imperial. And the butter for the bread tasted like it was either old or had freezer burn. (I'm a dairy-farm-girl, and am very picky about my butter.) Everything else was wonderful, though....the salad, bread, beverages, ambiance, service....and the dessert was fabulous. I would probably come back one more time if I'm in the area because of the exceptional meal on my first visit. But I'll be reading the menu very carefully, and not ordering the Chicken Chesapeake!!!!!

Dinner, as always, was superb. From yummy salads straight through a superior Creme Burlee, everything was delicious. The side of Brussels Sprouts, seasoned perfectly was wonderful but could have been served at a hotter temperature. My scallops, flavored and browned to perfection were beautifully browned. The spicey horseradish cocktail sauce was the perfect compliment to the firm jumbo shrimp.
