Hiro 88 - Lincoln
Over all the food was fabulous and the staff was amazing!
We went there for my wife’s birthday. Excellent food. Excellent service. Kind. Friendly. Helpful. Shout out to Jeff and Dwayne and Markfor an excellent experience.
Great service, great happy hour deals and the food was delicious!!!
Great atmosphere. Great service by Jeff the bartender. Lots of great sushi menu options. Definitely worth a try.
It was good food and service, the vibe did not match the menu
Wonderful food and the service was great. Was a little close quarters but overall a great date night!
Best Manhattan in town!
Eventhough the restaurant was packed, we were seated immediately. The food was good but my date and I could hardly hear each other. Still the food was great.
Our waiter was abrupt, and our dinner came out almost an hour late. He was also very slow with refills, and hard to track down. We usually love HIRO, and I know they were busy tonight, but it just wasn’t the same level of service we’re used to.
We had a great meal and waitress! I would recommend Hiro 88 Lincoln to many people.
We have at here before and had a pleasant before but this night was not. Our food was not good. We had two(2) orders of pb chicken and it was not good at all. Just not a good experience at all. I will not accept that it was before a basketball game because if you can not put a good product out you need to not take the order.
This was our 4th visit to Hiro 88. The first 3 visits were great but my wife and I were disappointed this time. We met another couple there and due to a reservation were seated right away. Ordered appetizers which took some time to arrive at the table, but not overly long. Then we ordered our main courses and it took nearly 1 hour to receive our food. Plus, my wife's dinner was cold. They did take it back to heat it and did not charge us for that meal but we were disappointed none the less. They did not seem overly busy Saturday night so we could not understand why it took so long to get our meals. At some point we will return to Hiro 88 but if this sort of service continues we will go elsewhere.
Had an amazing meal for a birthday, and while there was a slight hiccup with the check at the end of the night, overall the evening was lovely and will be cherished.
Great sushi as usual. Really good fresh fish. Crispy Garlic Beef is a must order. Thanks for a great meal to start a great evening
75.00 for 2 people is expensive. We started with 2 appetizers which were small both portion wise and servings. We also had 2 cocktails which were also small and hardly no alcohol. We got 4 rolls and asked them to be wrapped in soy paper and not seaweed. They came out with seaweed.
Waiter flirted with my date a bit. Found that irritating.
Food was A++. Our server was very attentive though sushi took a little long to come out but well worth the wait.
Can always count on Hiro 88 in Lincoln after a game. Food consistently good. Very enjoyable.
Great service! Had a quite table for a business meeting which was great. Food was fresh. Gluten free options were great.
I went on a date with my boyfriend and it was the first time he was there. We had a lot of fun and the food was very good. We would love to go back again and try something new
A great place to celebrate a birthday!
We ordered three rolls and edamame for appetizers to share. One guest ordered salmon don, another tempura don which were huge but not tasty. I ordered salmon and yellow tail sashimi. Salmon was good but not yellow tail. The waitress was friendly and attentive. We had fun as my Japanese guests never ate American sushi rolls.
My friends and I made reservations at Hiro before a concert at the event center in Lincoln. We were so excited because it was on a Sunday and hiro advertises they have happy hour all day long. Once we arrived, we were disappointed to find out they would not honor happy hour due to the concert. I think that is terrible customer service and I do not plan to attend this location again. Omaha never does this so I will stick to locations that honor their incentives instead of trying to make as much money as possible!
We had a larger group and were seated promptly. Service was spot on. Our needs were met and the wait staff was not overbearing.
Food was great!
Another great experience at Hiro. The restaurant was completely packed before the Kenny Chesney concert. But they got us in on time and the service was excellent and the food quality was top notch, as usual. This is our go to restaurant in town along with their new east location and it has never disappointed us. I even told the manager last night what a great job his crew did. Everyone was working incredibly hard and they should know that their customers appreciate it!!
Arrived 15 minutes early, have to remind that we have a reservation half an hour later to be seated. A group of people came in without reservation was seated right away, claiming they had 9 people; we had 5 adults and two kids. When asked about our table they asked us if everyone is here, they do didn't ask the group that just showed up.
Took another 15-20 minutes after we were seated to get our food, they could have seated us and we could have started our order an hour earlier.
Nicely greeted on arrival and seated right away at a nice corner table by the window. Our server was very helpful in helping us understand the menu options and was nicely patient as we decided our choices. We hit Happy Hour and took advantage of the "bottle of wine and crab rangoons". We ordered four different meals and were all very pleased.
Hiro 88 is usually fantastic from start to finish. I choose this as my restaurant of choice when it comes to getting my sushi fix. However, over the past few years I have consistently been treated poorly by the front host staff. The host staff is the first interaction a customer gets and I am sad to say I am "used" to getting impolite service from the front of the house. Just recently, we celebrated a birthday at the restaurant and the front host staff was instantly flustered and upset with my request to sit outside with my family members (7 adults, 2 children) as they refused to put together more than two tables. So, we sat outside and had two tables put together and a third table off to itself. The host was not going to let us place the tables together at all, however, our amazing server who turned the whole mood around was very helpful, kind and helped us put the tables together so we could eat as a family. There was only one other group outside at the time of our visit. Again, I still love Hiro 88 as my favorite sushi restaurant in town, but the host staff could use some improvement when it comes to delivering a friendly welcoming first impression to its patrons.
I would highly recommend Hiro 88 especially once happy hour is over. It was very loud when we arrived at 6, but by 7 the noise level had lessened. The food was excellent as was the service. The wait staff was attentive but not too much so. My husband and I split an entree, and an extra bowl was brought when it was served. Also the salad was divided before being brought to our table. Both appreciated.
We dined in the Railyard.
Excellent food and service in a timely manner. Haymarket Hiro did not serve coffee.
If you like average food and fried food and fish, then go. It’s just okay.
Awesome service before a concert.
Server very efficient
Food good. Didn’t get our salads at all with our meals and my waitress forgot to put my drink order in but my husband got his.
We grabbed dinner at Hiro88 before the Michael Buble concert. Our waiter was excellent...one of the best we've ever had their.
Had dinner at Hiro before going to a concert. Got seated right away, had a great server, the food came out quickly and was delicious.
So good! We made reservations a few weeks ago not realizing the Michael Buble' concert was the same night. Even though the restaurant was crowded, our server was amazing and kept our drinks full and spirits high. Food was fantastic. Definitely will be back - this a a gem in downtown Lincoln.
Because it was a concert night, the restaurant was packed. We enjoyed our food and time there, though my wife struggled to get the right drink. She ordered a Cosmo, and the waiter brought a Mai Tai. We got that straightened out. She ordered another Cosmo, and something else entirely came. That one never got fixed, but they did take it off the bill.
Food was fine, it was just busy.
