Highway Restaurant and Bar Ratings and Reviews
Been many times, always enjoy. Ventured off my norm and gave the Eggplant Parm a shot, very underwhelming, over cooked and mush.
The ribs were delicious as were the gyoza pancakes. Wife loved her halibut and our friend thoroughly enjoyed the meatballs.
Fig, pastry and ice cream desert was super.
This was our second time at highway. The menu is limited to a small number of exceptionally well prepared dishes. Kale salad with ginger dressing was delightful. Chicken pot pie was made from their house rotisserie chicken, home made pastry and deliciously rich gravy. Rich, and satisfying for the cold winter evening. Currently my favorite kitchen in the hamptons. Host, waiters and bar tenders are all pros. Service if friendly and efficient. Loving it!
Our waiter tried bullying us into ordering when he wanted us to despite the fact that it wasn’t busy. His attitude was that of let’s get this over with now. Too bad the food is great and chef Ryan has wonderful food. Unfortunately the back of the house doesn’t know how the front is treating customers. This was our second visit with same treatment but 2 months later.
The worst service. I’m a regular but I cannot remember when we’ve been treated to such an obvious display of negligent and terrible service. Adam attempted to save the meal at the end but couldn’t vanquish the downward spiral of truly terrible service. The waiter even taunted our table on our way out... truly unacceptable and unprofessional. No reason to return.
My husband, myself and our 5 year old had a wonderful dinner last Friday early evening. We sat in the most comfortable and spacious booth off the bar - but it felt very private. We all loved our dinners - my husband had the steak, I had the Peking duck special & my son had a hamburger with fries. Everything was cooked perfectly and had great flavor.
We will put it as 1 of our go to places!
Loved the apps- steamed pork buns and farro salad. Main dishes also excellent. We had scallops, salmon, eggplant parmigiana.
The only just okay thing was the pie but I'm spoiled because my sons are great bakers.
I would definitely come back. Scallops were a bit pricey-$42, for only 4 of them but tasty.
