A Modern Approach to Southern-Inspired Cuisine
Aside from the classic cocktail, a highball is a train conductor’s signal to depart at full speed. It was how Central Florida’s abundant harvests moved from field to table, an iconic symbol of the region’s agricultural might. Highball & Harvest (H&H) pays homage to this legacy, with menus laden with ingredients from local farms, as well as our own green-growing efforts. We pluck fresh produce from our on-site 7,000- square-foot garden at Whisper Creek Farm. Handcrafted cocktails are infused with seasonal fruits and herbs, and create a culinary adventure that is as inspiring as it is memorable.

We've been before, the food is very good, interesting plating ideas, the only negative thing I would say due to it being located in the Ritz Carlton the prices are high, especially the drinks. So if your looking for a nice dinner go here, but save the drinking for somewhere else.
This restaurant really meets the high standards of the Ritz-Carlton it is located in. From the moment our car pulled to the entrance to the moment we left, service was immaculate. The restaurant is easy to find in the huge hotel and there is no detail left unattended. The space itself is massive, but with tasteful couches and lounge areas it felt comfortable and intimate. Not too stuffy, and fresh. We were seated right away at a table with a nice view, appropriate for two people. I noticed right away that they had configurations suitable for many different party sizes. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable and had great recommendations. I tried a special cocktail that had vodka, blueberry jam, and ginger beer and it was delicious. My boyfriend had their take on a cosmopolitan which was refreshing and sweet, but with a little kick. I ordered the High on the Hog which came with a Japanese pork belly cut, squash with seasonal vegetables all seasoned and roasted beautifully. The presentation was also gorgeous, with an appropriate portion size. The pork belly was seasoned a little lightly, but when eaten with its accompaniments the flavors came together deliciously.
My boyfriend had the butcher’s secret cut which was a flank steak, as well as the pimento mac & cheese. The mac and cheese had a generous portion of cheese, which was nice and decadent, however the shortbread the dish came with was quite hard, but overall delectable. We had the mini donuts with coffee ice cream and hazelnut cream and those were to die for. Overall everything tasted fresh and farm-to-table as they advertise. I enjoyed myself a lot and though the restaurant felt like a different environment from the hotel, the threads of great service and high quality tied them together.
I never take the time to write a review within an hour of a meal anywhere...BUT! Wow! Our server, Stephen, could not have been more attentive, more on point, or have a better personality.
From the moment we sat down to the exact moment the elevator doors closed behind us, our experience was amazing. The food suggestions were outstanding, cocktails were fantastic and you must save room for dessert. No joke, the wings are special! And we thoroughly enjoyed the scallops. We shared the high on the hog which included a quirky lasagna which was to die for....something I could not replicate if I tried (which is great because I hate dining on food that I could make myself). The donuts and cobbler were true treats to top off the night. The entertainment was a lovely accompaniment to the restaurant; not so loud that we couldn't enjoy our meal and yet perfectly loud enough to fill the bar with dancing.
You could tell the management was attentive and supportive without being stalkers!
For sure, this was one of the best dining experiences we've had. We're likely to be back tomorrow!
Our server, Maneer, not the spelling I am sure, was excellent! Loved the décor and layout, very comfortable. I had the "bad hunter" a vegetarian meal, my husband had the snapper, dessert was the peach cobbler which is made to order, wonderful. We also had breakfast there, high quality food with great presentation.
One of Orlando s finest restaurants! Orlando is 20 years behind the foodie scene. However the Ritz pulls straight ahead beating all of the competition. Our waiter just completed the first part of the Madters of Wine exam, and was quite brilliant and entertaining. Great menu selection, interesting cocktails, and fun!
Appetizers and desserts were great, but entrees fell a little flat. My local market fish was not well executed and husband's pork chop left something to be desired. My daughter's salmon from the kid's menu was very nicely done, though - perfect seasoning and sear. Service was exceptional.
Feed is amazing and gets better every time. Service is impeccable but food arrives at a leisurely pace. I love that on the weekend for personal meals but prefer a little faster pace during school nights. But don't let that stop you for going. It is really a treat. The farm to table tomatoes where the best I have ever had!
Fantastic meal and service. The servers and kitchen were very nice about us splitting an entree. The food and cocktails are excellent, and the servers are very knowledgeable about the menu and make great recommendations. It is pricy but well worth every penny. The ambiance is exquisite too! And even better, if you valet at the Ritz, the restaurant will validate for you. Great service all around! One of our favs in Orlando!
While on vacation we had a fabulous meal at Highball and Harvest. They have an extensive bourbon list which made us really happy. My Husband had the shrimp and grits and I had the burger. It was so big I could only eat half of it and everything was delicious. Our waiter and the whole staff at the restaurant were very friendly and cordial. Wonderful meal thanks
Great place! Spectacular service! We went for dinner and had a food allergy in a group and that allergy was pepper. The chef himself came out to discuss how the food was prepared and checking sensitivity level. They did a great job. We've been here before and the food and service is consistently great! On another note, the brunch is redicuously great!
Family brunch. Outstanding selection for brunch with mimosa bar and interesting IPA beer selection. Fresh seafood and three carving stations with lots of selections. There's a reason the Ritz has such a great reputation. The only small critique was the music, a superb live band, made conversation at brunch hard to hear. One of the best brunches in Orlando. Period.
Concept is great. Food is creative. Local food. Service is inconsistent. Depends who your waitstaff is on whether or not you'll be satisfied with the whole experience. Ask for Hunter and you can't go wrong! He's the best and is what made us want to go back.
