High Velocity – Orlando World Center Marriott Ratings and Reviews
We went to eat, drink and watch the basket ball game. It appeared we weren't doing either fast enough to please our server. Constant prompts for more and when we finally left at half-time our bill was padded with drinks we didn't order or receive. Now the server was hard to find!
We did what we could to offset $24 worth of alcohol by shorting the gratuity when all else failed and left, undoubtedly for the predictable future.
The waitstaff was really nice and attentive. Unfortunately the food was mediocre at best. We had the grilled mahi mahi and a turkey burger, which were both essentially flavorless. 2 drinks each and the bill was $100+. It's too bad. This place could be great with a better pub style food.
High Velocity met all our expectations. It offered a little bit of everything for everyone, kids and adults. The 1 very big negative that impacted all meals were the poor frozen French fries. From the classic burger to the Steak, the fries did not make the cut. Very poor menu selection. Sweet potato fries were a much better choice as were the chips.
My husband and I were staying at the Marriott on vacation. We chose High Velocity for dinner so we could watch the Cavs playoff game. Our hostess noticed our team shirts and offered to seat us right in front of a tv and changed the channel to the game. The food was great, and our server as well as the manager were very attentive. It was a great experience!
I scheduled a senior executive happy hour during a large conference at the hotel. We originally planned to have 10 attendees, but that number quickly grew to 20. The manager and staff were extremely accommodating with our sudden influx of attendees, rearranging an appropriate space for us with absolutely no hesitation. Iliana was our server, and was impeccable - professional, pleasant, and quick. The drinks were reasonably priced, the homemade potato chips were delicious, and we had a wonderful time.
Our server was awesome...wish I could remember her name. The nachos are possibly the best I've ever had. The BBQ chicken flatbread was good as was the black bean burger, but the wings were way overcooked and dried out. Still a good experience overall and I'll be sure to come back the next time I'm at Disney.
The food was pretty basic sports bar food. The price however was expensive for a sports bar. $16 for a Greek salad is a bit much. Wine list isn't great either. Maybe you should stick to beer or liquor here. There are tv's everywhere and they are pretty loud.
High Velocity is the perfect location to host a team building dinner. The sports bar atmosphere lends itself to a casual get together, and enables your party to move around and socialize.
The menu is sophisticated enough for a discerning palate, and varied enough for that picky eater in your group. Our server, Kim, made us feel welcome and looked after my group's needs.
This is a must visit dining option when staying at this Marriott hotel.
I had a late flight coming into Orlando and needed to find a place that served food late night. I was in luck when I found this spot in the hotel's complex that serves until 1am! The menu is not overwhelming and has a little bit of everything to appease all taste buds. Our server was very nice and energetic which gave the overall experience an A++!
We were surprised that this place was so great for our family. Usually resort dining is very pricey. The kid's meals were really great, came with a drink and dessert and were so affordable! We were seated quickly with the reservation, food came fast, service was fantastic. It was the perfect level of noise - loud enough that my kids could be a little louder and no one cared but not so loud that we could not hear each other. We were really happy.
Left the restaurant to walk outside to make a phone call, as it was very loud in restaurant, server follow me out the door with check in hand. I had requested it 15 minutes earlier and he never came. Highly offended at such action.
Management did rectify the situation.
We had a group of ten, it was SO noisy we could barely talk, the waiter gave me grief when I requested separate checks. The waiter was unfriendly, did not check back to us, was very slow getting the checks when we requested them. The hostess was friendly and did help us get our checks. Not a good experience.
High Velocity – Orlando World Center Marriott is a very nice sports restaurant, with awesome TVs everywhere, including individual TVs at the tables. The service was great and our food was served very quickly, but unfortunately, the food was not very good. I had a burger and it was dry and unseasoned...maybe it was a fluke, but I was disappointed. I would probably give it another try, but I wouldn't go for a burger again.
We ate here twice during out stay at the hotel. Both times we waited to be seated even though the second time we had reservation and neither time were they busy. Also both times, I had to go a find a waiter. No one would wait on us. Food was good and prices were high but in line with a hotel restaurant. Would not recommend this place.
