Lauryn was our server and she was "on it." We had a party of 10 and we didn't want for anything. The food was prompt and tasty and the prices were very reasonable. Parking can be a lil tricky since the restaurant is in the JW Marriott hotel.
Completely recommend for any occasion.
I love the place.
Food is great and the location is great.
We were seated immediately, hostess also took drink order and was very gracious, our server was busy, but the excellent teamwork of the staff made it all seamless. Food was outstanding and came quickly, excellent experience all the way around.
Thank goodness the service once we were seated at our table was fantastic otherwise it was going to be a pretty upsetting experience. We had a reservation at 4:00 and arrived at 3:40. They told us they would not seat us until 4:00 (even though there were open tables). We decided to grab a seat at the bar and grab a drink while we waited. However after sitting there for 20 minutes we couldn't get anyone to make eye contact with us, ask us if we needed anything or get anyone's attention. We even moved the empty drinks from the people in front of us thinking they might have thought they were ours. Once it became a few minutes before 4:00 we got up and went back to the front where they seated us to the right of the bar in an area full of empty tables. Thankfully our server was AMAZING - very attentive, polite, and fast. The food was also delicious and it came out in a timely manner. We had an appetizer and there was enough time in between the appetizer and our main course.
The servers and kitchen staff saved the day and made the experience enjoyable because the bartenders certainly weren't going to.
Bar service was great. Good wine selections. Food was good. Table service was off. Some delays in finding our table Server. Overall, good hotel bar and food experience.
This was my third visit to this restaurant. As expected everything was delicious and we had a great time. Looking forward to our next visit.
It was my first time . Overall was great and the food was delicious
Great food. Super bowl. Nice decor and environment
We had a very large group for dinner and the staff at High Velocity were wonderful! With everything from making reservations, to accommodating a person in our group who needed wheelchair access, they were so easy to work with. The service was great, food was incredible, and the location was perfect. Thank you High Velocity!
I very much enjoyed the venue, beautiful...and my waiter was stupendous very attentive didn't show up at the table.too much and madre sure we were happy with what we were paying for. He was honestly SUPER. I wish I could remember his name. The food was less than mediocre basically stuff I could throw together at hime.for a party. It's a bit expensive for a bar and grill which is essentially what it is. If your looking for experiance and good food steer clear. The venue and wait staff happens to be the highlight of this restaurant
Decent food brought by very kind staff. Fun environment and perfect for the holidays.
I food was good but had just terrible service all the way through
Active busy sports bar type restaurant. Lots of TVs lots of seating. Our reservation for six was honored by prompt seating. After that, the word prompt disappeared as we literally had to seek out a server for her first contact and beverage and food service throughout our visit were both unacceptably slow. Place was very busy with a big game at nearby Lucas Oil Stadium but these events are frequent and well known in advance, so no free pass to the establishment for an extraordinary situation. We had $13 burgers (big and delicious), fish and chips (ample portion and tasty) and my wife had a salad topped with steak slices that she raved about. If the Service had been a bit more on point the whole visit would have been rated very good. Nice spacious interior with a good overall vibe.
Ate here three nights during a convention - comfortable, good variety if you have a group. Prompt friendly service, everyone enjoyed their meals
Great. Quiet, good food and service.
Hotel eatery. Good menu. Great treated tenderloin sandwich very loud and we ate early. Parking prices a problem but evening and weekend parking at attached government lot plus gives 90 min free at their lot.. Lots of tv's. Has skyway to convention center.
I was staying at the JW Marriott and decided to dine in their sports bar. Big mistake. There were a few groups but I was solo (business trip) and was treated poorly by the waitress. Ordered soup and an entree, and a soda. Got the soda ... asked a couple of times over the next 30 min about my appetizer to no avail. Then she delivered both the soup and entree together. Soup was cold, of course. I got that written off because I didn't eat it but still ... and then it took forever to get my check. I will say that my entree, a single boneless short rib over Mac and cheese was tasty and was still warm at least, but a bit light on meat for the price. I stay here once in a while but I won't eat here again.
This is a convenient location to meet for a "quick " meal before a downtown event. We had hoped to park in the hotel garage but it was closed to non-guests so we parked across the street in public parking. The food at the restaurant is good but it's all about the location.
There were four of us. We had a meal before the Purdue – Louisville football game. We got a nice booth with an excellent server. Food was plentiful and delicious. We would highly recommend this location, and will be back if we come this way again.
Not vegan friendly and it is freezing in there so bring a coat!
We really enjoyed our experience at High Velocity. It was game night across the street. It was busy but not too busy. We had reservations & got right in. Nachos were fantastic & burgers were very good. Would highly recommend! !
The food was not worth the price, it took forever for someone to seat us. Would not go back here again..
Terrible service, cold food , long wait time for food and drinks
We have eaten here 3 or 4 times before an Indianapolis Indians baseball game, and this time like all of the others, I was disappointed by the food. I ordered the tenderloin, which should be an Indiana staple. It was either cooked in old oil or slightly overcooked. It was described as having jalapeno slaw and a special mayo. The meat overlapped the bun as expected, but there was only about a teaspoon of mayo and 2 tablespoons of slaw, leaving the brioche bun dry and overwhelming the meat. I am still looking for something here I like because it is so darn convenient for a ballgame. Although it was 4 pm, we felt rushed by the waitress who wanted to know what we were ordering as she handed us the menu. When finished with my meal she asked if I wanted a box. I said no, and she left the dishes there in front of us. We would have ordered another drink had the experience been more pleasant.
Great sports bar atmosphere! Food was good not great. My meatloaf was dry, but tasted fantastic. My friend's salmon was absolutely perfect. The lettuce wraps were okay, but didn't come close to PF Changs.
We had reservations but still had to wait to be seated and there were plenty of open seats. Our waiter took long to even greet us and hardly checked back on us at all during the meal. Another waiter had even asked if ours had stopped by yet. Food was okay, not very warm.
I ordered the basil chicken wrap, and it was incredible!! Had a great time, but that was more to do with the person I was with. Has tons of televisions with lots of different sports showing. I would definitely recommend this place for any casual event!
My experience started off great. The host went the extra mile to get us the kind of table we wanted. But the service from our server wasn't so good. One of our orders was wrong and it took a while before it was corrected. One of the drinks was not brought out and we had to ask twice more to have it brought out and also had to ask twice for a refill on another's drink. We liked the atmosphere, quality of food, and seating. It's just unfortunate the serving of our meals wasn't better.
Had the bunless grilled chicken with pepper jack, guacamole, and pico on top. It was delicious! And the waitress was very attentive, consistently filling my water glass.
Great service. Awesome food !
Over rated. Very disappointing
We were visiting Indianapolis for a wedding. The food was just OK nothing spectacular. Normal bar food. My daughters had the steak salad and some of the steak was really rare and bloody. The beer was very good and the service was excellent.
Great for a pre-game dinner. Many other Indians fans enjoying the same idea.
The food was VERY good, as was our server, Taylor. She was very knowledgeable and respectful.
Excellent short rib macaroni and cheese.
It was ok but pretty forgettable.
The restaurant is just a short walk from the Indiana State Museum. The Fish and Chips is advertised with jalapeno coleslaw. Both the fish and the slaw tasted great. Unfortunately the amount of cole slaw served was literally one bite. I asked for more and was given 2 more bites. The fish was served in a metal basket lined with one piece of thin paper. Within seconds the paper was torn and fish falling through to the table so I had to ask for a plate. The staff was friendly and the service was quick, but the slaw portion should be adjusted up and add more layers of paper to the basket! The chili was also quite tasty.
Had a great time. The waitress was very helpful, attentive, and polite. The Mediterranean salad was REALLY great as was the s'mores dessert. Fun, lively atmosphere. Enjoy!
I was there more than once over the weekend and when crowded, it was noisy but understandable, When it was near empty, the sound system blasted your ears, it should have been adjusted. It is also way past time to get new seats for the tables, they are no longer cushioned and very uncomfortable.
