Active busy sports bar type restaurant. Lots of TVs lots of seating. Our reservation for six was honored by prompt seating. After that, the word prompt disappeared as we literally had to seek out a server for her first contact and beverage and food service throughout our visit were both unacceptably slow. Place was very busy with a big game at nearby Lucas Oil Stadium but these events are frequent and well known in advance, so no free pass to the establishment for an extraordinary situation. We had $13 burgers (big and delicious), fish and chips (ample portion and tasty) and my wife had a salad topped with steak slices that she raved about. If the Service had been a bit more on point the whole visit would have been rated very good. Nice spacious interior with a good overall vibe.

Hotel eatery. Good menu. Great treated tenderloin sandwich very loud and we ate early. Parking prices a problem but evening and weekend parking at attached government lot plus gives 90 min free at their lot.. Lots of tv's. Has skyway to convention center.

I was staying at the JW Marriott and decided to dine in their sports bar. Big mistake. There were a few groups but I was solo (business trip) and was treated poorly by the waitress. Ordered soup and an entree, and a soda. Got the soda ... asked a couple of times over the next 30 min about my appetizer to no avail. Then she delivered both the soup and entree together. Soup was cold, of course. I got that written off because I didn't eat it but still ... and then it took forever to get my check. I will say that my entree, a single boneless short rib over Mac and cheese was tasty and was still warm at least, but a bit light on meat for the price. I stay here once in a while but I won't eat here again.

This is a convenient location to meet for a "quick " meal before a downtown event. We had hoped to park in the hotel garage but it was closed to non-guests so we parked across the street in public parking. The food at the restaurant is good but it's all about the location.

There were four of us. We had a meal before the Purdue – Louisville football game. We got a nice booth with an excellent server. Food was plentiful and delicious. We would highly recommend this location, and will be back if we come this way again.

We really enjoyed our experience at High Velocity. It was game night across the street. It was busy but not too busy. We had reservations & got right in. Nachos were fantastic & burgers were very good. Would highly recommend! !

We have eaten here 3 or 4 times before an Indianapolis Indians baseball game, and this time like all of the others, I was disappointed by the food. I ordered the tenderloin, which should be an Indiana staple. It was either cooked in old oil or slightly overcooked. It was described as having jalapeno slaw and a special mayo. The meat overlapped the bun as expected, but there was only about a teaspoon of mayo and 2 tablespoons of slaw, leaving the brioche bun dry and overwhelming the meat. I am still looking for something here I like because it is so darn convenient for a ballgame. Although it was 4 pm, we felt rushed by the waitress who wanted to know what we were ordering as she handed us the menu. When finished with my meal she asked if I wanted a box. I said no, and she left the dishes there in front of us. We would have ordered another drink had the experience been more pleasant.

Great sports bar atmosphere! Food was good not great. My meatloaf was dry, but tasted fantastic. My friend's salmon was absolutely perfect. The lettuce wraps were okay, but didn't come close to PF Changs.

We had reservations but still had to wait to be seated and there were plenty of open seats. Our waiter took long to even greet us and hardly checked back on us at all during the meal. Another waiter had even asked if ours had stopped by yet. Food was okay, not very warm.

I ordered the basil chicken wrap, and it was incredible!! Had a great time, but that was more to do with the person I was with. Has tons of televisions with lots of different sports showing. I would definitely recommend this place for any casual event!

My experience started off great. The host went the extra mile to get us the kind of table we wanted. But the service from our server wasn't so good. One of our orders was wrong and it took a while before it was corrected. One of the drinks was not brought out and we had to ask twice more to have it brought out and also had to ask twice for a refill on another's drink. We liked the atmosphere, quality of food, and seating. It's just unfortunate the serving of our meals wasn't better.

We were visiting Indianapolis for a wedding. The food was just OK nothing spectacular. Normal bar food. My daughters had the steak salad and some of the steak was really rare and bloody. The beer was very good and the service was excellent.

The restaurant is just a short walk from the Indiana State Museum. The Fish and Chips is advertised with jalapeno coleslaw. Both the fish and the slaw tasted great. Unfortunately the amount of cole slaw served was literally one bite. I asked for more and was given 2 more bites. The fish was served in a metal basket lined with one piece of thin paper. Within seconds the paper was torn and fish falling through to the table so I had to ask for a plate. The staff was friendly and the service was quick, but the slaw portion should be adjusted up and add more layers of paper to the basket! The chili was also quite tasty.

I was there more than once over the weekend and when crowded, it was noisy but understandable, When it was near empty, the sound system blasted your ears, it should have been adjusted. It is also way past time to get new seats for the tables, they are no longer cushioned and very uncomfortable.

I was in town for the marathon and had two meals at High Velocity ...
Table for one, please :-) Total non-issue -- I was treated as if I was a table for four.
Great servers, and the food was really great -- they have a delicious burger and yummy cooked perfectly sweet potato fries.
The next day I had lunch -- pre race grilled chicken breast w/mashed potatoes and a side of asparagus. All cooked PERFECTLY and the chicken breast came out on the plate shaped like a heart -- I took that as a good sign for the next day's race!
Yes, I'd eat here again -- and it lives up to being a sports bar -- TVs everywhere!!!! Even some small booths where you can your own TV!!!

We decided to eat here because of the convenience while staying at the JW. The overall experience was meh but again the location drove the decision to eat here.

Not an establishment I'm going to recommend to anyone but still not a complete disappointment for burgers n fries.

This restaurant is spacious and service is great. The service here is significantly better than the property's upscale restaurant Osteria Pronto. I had the salmon club and it was well prepared. The atmosphere is relaxed. Definitely recommend.

We visited High Velocity 3 times during our stay at the JW. Each time the food was great, the servers were great, and the atmosphere was great. We had a lengthy delay during the first visit and the manager voluntarily came up to us, apologized and comped our meal. We returned 2 more times before we left the hotel. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Indy!

Ordered an appetizer. It came 10 minutes after our main courses were served, only after we asked about it 3 times, so was not eaten as everyone was already eating their main course. Then one of our party ordered a cheeseburger and fries. His cheeseburger came without the fries. He asked about his fries, "oops we forgot to put the fries on your plate, they will be right out"! He had to ask 2 more times before they arrived about 15 minutes later, after he was through eating, so again they were also not eaten. No compensation on our check for this bad service. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

second visit this trip .Wednesday I hoped to have a bite to eat arriving from airport at 745pm Sat down ordered dinner at 830 ish sliders with well cooked fries .After waiting til almost 930 pm reading a book..I asked where my dinner was. I was told that the fries had burned and needed to be recooked Surely that does not take an hour.Jennifer the manager came to explain that my food had been burned and that sh would reorder it for me at no cost . After another 20 minutes I was presented with 3 small sliders that were blackened and grey meat on cold buns with cheese that was not even melted. Not wanting to incur the wrath of the chef I ate the meat and had a scoop of ice cream . Jennifer gave me a $50 certificate for further use thus the reason we returned . This evening I was joined by 2 gentleman and we had nachos which were a hugh platter with a thimble of salsa guac and a third undefinable dip . These were literally a bit more than a spoonful to use with a bag of cheesy limp chips that get cold rather fast. Good luck here Noise of Thursday night football was deafening and there is no volume control we were told.. left for concierge lounge.
