High Steaks - Thunder Valley Casino Resort
Great, food took a bit long to come out.
Father’s Day was really good and our waitress Vulda was so special and so good
Everything was great, entrees, sides, appetizers and dessert. Will be back soon!
Always enjoy my dining experience at High Steaks. The service is always on point and the food is outstanding.
Our table was not available. We waited for 15 minutes then they sat us at a table for 8. I wishI had asked to be moved to a smaller table for 6, but after the wait everyone was ready to eat.
We ordered six cocktails, everyone got their drinks except two of us. We probably waited at least 9-10 minutes.
The waiter said wonderful things about the ribeye, which 2 people ordered. As it turned out the filets where much better.
The crab cakes were awesome. They had nice big chucks of crab.
We decided to have dessert on the patio. We sat by the fire pit and waited for 10 minutes and nobody waited on us so we left.
Jenkins and staff were amazing! We had a birthday girl but due to Dane Cook show we were running late. Staff held onto cake and we went there after the show for coffee and cake. Great nightcap.
We went for our anniversary. They sat us at a table by the bar; it was so noisy; we couldn’t even have a conversation. Service was slow and the got my order wrong; so I had to wait extra time for my food. The Cesar salad was mostly red romaine; it was awful.
The food is outstanding, but the last 2 times we have gone for dinner, it has taken too long to get the food to the table.
Pretty disappointed. It was so loud in the restaurant we couldn't even hear each other. Even tables for two, you're sitting about 3.5-4' away from each other; awkwardly far apart.
Ordered the bacon wrapped porterhouse. The entire steak was raw on the inside and the outside has been steamed by the bacon. We waiting almost 20 min between our appetizers and entrees. The French onion soup was so hot, it had to have ice cubes added to it. We were late to our show that night because our entrees took so long to get to the table. The only good piece of the dinner was the 5oz Wagyu piece we ordered that was cooked perfectly. I should hope so for $75.
I wouldn't go back.
Pretty good but not perfect!
Doria was our server--she was excellent.
Bread basket great. Shrimp cocktail--needs a dynamic presentation and better quality shrimp.
Oyster small but good.
New York $52--excellent in every way. Perfect Char.
Halibut--just ok--not much flavor on plate $48
Lamp Chops--Weird looking--burnt bacon on top..looked dry with no juice appearance.. Just dark brown-black appearance. Pretty fatty--Tasty meat. Need a new presentation and cooking method. $48
Cocktails--2 Martinis and 4 House Manhattans...large and excellent $12 each.
2 Wine at $14 each.
Dessert---Pineapple Creme Brulet--not great---boring and not a great presentation.
Pretty pricey overall but we wold return.
Very Nice place to go eat if you want great food! Everyone was great..
Dinner before the concert. Ordered the deconstructed Beef Wellington. I requested my steak medium. To me, the steak was salty. My server asked, how was everything and I informed her that the steak had too much salt for my taste. She offered to bring another, I declined as the Malbec I had with dinner helped with the saltiness. The steak was very tender and the brussel sprouts were very good. At the end, my side dish was removed to make up for it. I was very pleased with that. Will visit again.
Excellent food and atmosphere! We went to see Theresa Caputo and had dinner before. I highly recommend!
Took my wife there for our 9th wedding anniversary I'm not saying the food was bad by all means but for almost a hundred and $75 for our meal and then losing almost $200 gambling how are evening did not turn out so well
Wonderful restaurant. Good food and good service. Our waiter went above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying the food.
Always a Great meal. The service was outstanding. She was very knowledgeable in all the wines.
Food was cooked to perfection! We were treated exceptionally well by the servers and staff. We were celebrating a wedding anniversary and our server Dayna made it very Memorable! Big shout out to Mike S. And Jenkins...
A pleasant surprise. Thank you Ronnete for great service. Our meals were cooked perfect. My children enjoyed the makeshift chicken strips plate. Crab Oscar is was very good as well. My 9 year old loved this place. I understand this probably isn’t the spot for children. However I did feel welcome. Good job.
Food was delicious (steaks were so tender) and the service was wonderful! We were celebrating our Anniversary and they brought us a great special dessert too.
Good food. An enjoyable experience. Four of us. Turns out we all ordered Filet Minion. Some ordered medium and some medium rare. It all came medium rare. Since we were here 3 years ago, prices seem much higher on meats. But, there was a good selection to pick from on the menu. As last time, it was very noisy and difficult to carry on a conversation. It was my daughter and her husbands 34th anniversary and a special dessert, on the house, was brought to the table. Overall an enjoyable time by all.
I brought my wife to dinner for our 1year Wedding Anniversary. We had a cozy corner booth. The service was amazing as usual. The food was delicious and the wine was on spot. We always have a wonderful dining experience at High Steaks.
We celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary. We truly enjoyed the environment, our cocktails and our wonderful waiter, Tony. He (and staff) made our evening, not only a meal, but a memorable experience.
everything was great food was excellent ambiance was great beautiful place
The service was great. Out of a group of 9 all but one had stomach issues ranging from mild to extreme! Not one of the steaks were cooked properly. Did not get two sides that we ordered but were charged. This was a second try as the last experience was not good. Never again!
Love the food and ambience. It's a bit pricey but the sides are giant and can be shared by 3 or 4 people even the baked potato. Steaks are, always cooked to perfection. They also are knowledgeable on food allergies and have gluten free options. This time was not impressed with our, waiter, he seemed judgemental and not interested.
Great service! They took care of us very well!!
Amazing food and awesome staff. I will be back again with my husband.
Our reservation was for 6pm which I thought would be early enough before the show which started seating at 7:30. We had to ask the waiter several times and told him we needed to be done by then. We did not get out dinner until 7:15. Don't know what the problem was because the Restaurant wasn't that crowded at 6pm. Terrible customer service. Meal was alright but for a good steak I would have rather gone to Chris Ruth. For the price we paid, I expected better at High Steaks. Will not be going back.
Mark the waiter was fantastic, a great sense of humor can be hard to find and he brought his A game.. $40 tip on a $124 bill how's that for good service
Food was excellent but very expensive . Recommend the jumbo shrimp wrapped in bacon for a appetizer. Had the herb chicken and hubby had the beef wellington. Both outstanding. Brought a bottle of wine. Corkage fee is 20.00. Drinks would have been much more than 20.00 so the courage fee was well worth it. Waitress was outstanding as well as the other servers. Would definitely go back. :)
Good food, extensive wine list, great service and great ambiance!
Incredible service and food.
Crab cakes are exceptional, service is excellent and the food is very good. It is a great place for special occasions.
The restaurant is located on the edge of a casino... However, it is smoke free and quiet. We were there for our anniversary and a special show at another venue about 15 minutes away. Everything from our server (James) to our Prime Rib meals (special) was outstanding. James was helpful and attentive. The "house" presented us with a complimentary dessert in honor of our anniversary. All in all a fine dining experience. Thank you High Steaks, and James.
We had a very romantic celebration dinner. The staff was amazing, the food was outstanding, and in our desert was an edible message about our celebration.
We absolutely love High Steak Restaurant. We visit Thunder Valley several times a year and always have dinner here. Tonight was exceptionally good. Quite possibly our best meal yet. The wedge salad was delicious, and the filet was cooked and seasoned perfectly. We definitely recomend the High Steak potatoes. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Could not stop eating the sauteed mushrooms, and the sweet corn was so good. A truly delicious meal. As for the service, Tristan was amazing. He was on top of everything. He answered our questions, made recommendations, and was spot on. He is so attentive and personable, and represents the establishment so well, we now ask to be seated in his section whenever we visit. The meal and the sevice were 5-Star! Can't wait to come back.
It was our anniversary, They did a great job.. Meal & deserts great.
They comp. the desert
We went for my birthday.. we were able to sit outside. Our server was amazing and they (Jenkins) brought out a special cake and dessert!!
